for everyone not knowing the old cards here is an overview
crow adds spell
fox adds trap
cat adds any mejispector card, but it will be added during the end phase.
raccoon adds monster
Forgot that Frog sets backrow (but it can’t be activated that turn)
Raccoon and Crow are 1-card starters with new support. Field spell (& Terraforming), Wind, and Porcupine are 1.5 card starters
And Majesty Dracoslayer can search scale 7 Dracoslayer to pens Kirin
Wynn, Bunbuku, Yata, Small World are basically 12 ways to yata or bunbuku paired up with mourner and droll as a handtrap lineup you have enough targets for wynn and small world
Also Droll is a Wind Spellcaster for some reason, so you can even set it and tribute it for the spell/traps

The main issue with that is it doesn’t feel like this deck would want to run droll, it can search a lot on the opponents turn, but they also have a set from deck effect and porcupine sets from grave, so maybe it’s fine
12 starters, its solid for pet deck, can't wait to see majespecter support on TCG

Like, most cards can come off no problem, but konami is waiting to release support for said cards to release them.

@@effluxi9587 Honestly I can see it happening. Konami going back to the DracoSlayer archetypes and giving them new support means that they might go back and look through World Legacy soon enough. Which means more WL cards that aren't Soma or 1-off cards with no relation other than artwork. Any WL support that helps Orcust is good in my book.
The hate boner people have for pendulum is insane, as soon as konami releases a few good pendulum cards people go crazy and start doomposting all over, some people in the community need to accept that there are people who enjoy decks and mechanics that you don't like, and that not everyone will play the game in the way that YOU want them to, so can we stop with all the pendulum hate already? it's been like nearly 10 years since duelist alliance came out ffs
basically in a lot of peoples minds the only thing thats based is monster combo, but not pendulum combo. how specific.
I don't think anyone is hating on Porcupine or pendulum mechanics in this case, it's just that the link monster is some straight-up BS. Not to mention, Majespecters are widely unpopular with people who don't play them because _a whole archetype_ having protection from targetting and effect destruction is not fun to play against, regardless of whether it's a pendulum archetype or not.

The link monster only locks them in extradeck slayers or maje, if you knew what you're talking about youd know that no archetypal extradeck monster of theirs has a way to disrupt the opponent. It's just a boost in card advantage for the currently shittiest deck of the shittiest summoning mechanic
@@tmaz9474 plenty of archetypes get broken link monsters, and even so, the majespecter link having a real restriction is a lot better for balance than other broken links like the unchained one for example
@@tmaz9474 People are overreacting hard as fuck to the link 2. Like YES it's good but game breaking? Meh. Majespecters have like 1000 attack each just swing over them. Or you just hit their backrow which has no protection, like every pendulum deck ever, then they don't do shit for fuck.
Pendulum soup is my only concern with the link-2 but even then it's unavoidable nowadays. But I also don't think pend soup is better than individual pend strategies as much anymore.
There is zero valid concern for this deck overperforming.
not sure if it makes a difference on your opinion: but majesty pegasus the dracoslayer is also 1.5 card combo. scale it with a majes, pop to search dinomight, dinomight summon majesty, search majesty field spell, use to tribute majesty for bunbuku. Love your content !
If you don't use Majesty Dracoslayer as a starter that way, and you opened Majesty, Raccoon, or Yata plus field spell or new quick play, you can summon Dracoslayer off last tribute-tutor (or use as first tribute), and add it plus porcupine to hand with the link.
Majesty search Ignis, pop either scale, and now you can pend summon 3-6 instead of 3-4. If you pop Majesty, you can use it to search field spell, but you're better off sending a second copy to the extra using the link so you can keep searching with it every turn.
I love these cards since they dont allow for stupid wombo combo but modernize the deck's intended play style, which is controlling the game with your spells and traps and plusing every turn when your monsters get resummoned.
There are some stupid small combo interactions, but it very much looks like it will feel like the deck of old. I'll be picking it up, since Majespecters was one of the last decks I played before taking a hiatus in 2016 and coming back this year, and I loved it then.
For stupid small combos, Pegasus search Village is dumb, new rank 4 tutor Elfuria is silly, and if Kirin gets unbanned, Kaiju/Santa + new rank 4 is also dumb. Tribute their monster, summon Kirin, return Kaiju to hand, tribute another monster. Especially if it's Gamaciel, which the new rank 4 can beat over

Unfortunately Hugin and the link-2 do compete for the EMZ pretty hard. Can't use Hugin to make Majespecter link-2 and Majespecter S/T can't tribute Hugin

Idk there are just so many 1.5 card combos card combos that it feels way too strong to not become a control type strategy imo, could be totally wrong though. Bunbuku/Yata is just 1 card. Then you have so many New Quick-Play + any Majespecter, Porcupine + any Majespecter, Wynn Channeler + any WIND, Majesty's Peagsus Field Spell + any WIND Spellcaster, Majesty Pegasus The Dracoslayer + any Majespecter, maybe small world. I could see this creating a decent control strategy where you throw in a bunch of handtraps and then just try to pend summon with the new link monster's effect to get 2 extra summons so you don't have to worry about your entire deck having to be filled with pendulums. The biggest problem imo is that Majespecter struggles to OTK and rebuild, especially after tributing all your guys to activate your disruption. This is something the Cyberse decks can do way better than it. The Hidden Village stuff also has potential too.
However, if Kirin gets unbanned then I think this might be enough to push it to a very competent rogue. You can use the new quickplay that is easily searched and usually not necessary for the main combo to Special Summon it during your opponent's turn, hopefully you have bunbuku scaled so you can return it for full combo on the next turn and then return an opponent's monster.
Edit: Kirin needs to return from the monster zone, welp Idk there is probably still other stuff you can do, like use one of the spell searchers that also get your combo. I guess the XYZ can help you not neg over using your spells/traps too.

You have to return a pend monster in the MAIN monster zone with kirin, so your scales will be stuck in your pend zones

Majesty's Pegasus, the Field Spell, can turn any wind spellcaster into a Bunbuku.. The Majespecter Wind quick-play can also special Bunbuku from the deck. Then you have Terraforming and Set Rotation. You basically have 11 ways to start the Bunbuku combo.
The Majespecter Xyz is broken. Being able to special summon Mystical Fairy Elfuria and lock up Kash and Purrely, Windwitch monsters from deck to synchro climb into Crystal Wing or special Genex Blastfan to search Birdman is pretty cool. And not once per turn. Thats insane.

Thinking about maybe getting a Majespectr core for locals. Sad that the best version of the deck is kinda toxic as hell (at least from what we know now) but if a better field spell is released that allows for other gameplan, deck looks cracked as hell tbh

Itbalso tributes to contact fusion, you can pend symmon, go into this instead or the other rank 4, then tribute and ss kirin from deck, if not you can also tribute this card to contact fusion into dinoster to put it into the oend zone to use as an extender and searcher. Realyl excited for these, especially if kirin is back
I think this deck is splashed with a few Dracoslayer pieces anyways, though I don’t know the list to say that for sure. So it could possibly Pend Summon Kirin, but its just difficult to say without formulating a list.
i believe that we may getting majesty extra deck monsters because these new supp are really a good it makes the deck more consisent or it can be more annoying to deal with even thought it may not be a tier 1 deck but im happy majesty are getting recongnized as a playable deck but now the issue is that they cant break boards well not all the time kirin should come back tbh also if they can make 2 majesty extra deck one for going first the other second and i believe were happy so far
The main problem with pendullum archetypes right now is that they were projected with ressummoning them every turn from the extra deck without limit.
Because of that the decks require you to summon at least 3 monsters every turn but that is not possible anymore and their win-con don't work well with one-turn controls.
Majespecter especially since their game play is supposed to revolve towards recycling spells and traps that requires you to tribute your monsters, since they are supposed to be easily recycled by pendullum summoning them.

It makes Majespecters good, but at best, good in the same way Branded is. The disruption isn't quite what other decks have, and unless you open Raccoon + Majesty Dracoslayer, it has major issues with Ash Blossom. Since your combo starters otherwise involve using Wind to tribute a monster to summon from deck, you end up with a very empty field. If you were intending to summon from hand with it, you keep 1 monster on field at least.
It's a very good deck, and one that I will be playing, but it does have things that will keep it from tier 1, and I think Josh was saying it won't be tier 1, let alone a problem deck.

You have Nibiru, Imperm, Veiler, Diabellstarr, fenrir etc. to remove the card, make it useless or interrupt your opponent before even setting it up :S Plus no baronne, no apo or other generic boss monster

Exactly, thank you. That's what I've been saying. This won't fix the pendulum problem. This deck will most likely lose going second or after siding. But I'll still play it as a pendulum enjoyer, because the support makes it a pretty good fun deck lol.
there are a lot of 2 card combos too so i think it's consistent enough
my favorite deck I ever made by myself was back when I first started playing I made a majespecter toon deck and it kinda fucked on DB. I could have also been playing it wrong and making up rules but I have fond memories.
I pulled 2 royal rares of the new Majespecter XYZ while pulling for Yubel, for some reason, so I gave the deck a try and I can safely say that Kirin is just ok, nothing broken. You only want to play one since is pretty much a brick that you don't have the scales to pendulum summon it in a pure build. Also the best play of the deck is to search secret village of the spell casters, which is cringe, I'll admit that, but can be done in very few summons so this deck plays very well into Maxx C, for a pendulum deck. The link 2 is a handtrap magnet so eagle booster is a very funny tech to protect it.

Pendulum won't be good until they make useful boardbreaker scale effects for going second.
The Majespecters have no scale effects but if they instead added very generic things like DRNM/Eclipse/Evenly as their scale effects they would be a ton better.

Deck is trash, needs pendulum scales which means it only has 3 spaces for spell traps on the field which are its only interruptions other than handtrops since you need to get the link out to do things
In the hypothetical case that they lift Kirin's ban, Ignis Phoenix has a scale of 7, so doing pendulum summon to Kirin would be solved by combining Majespecter with Dracoslayer.

These cards don't look good at all, the link is crazy but the problem is you either 1 card combo with it, or you need specific 2 or 3 card combos to do anything else. If the link gets negated or you're trying to do other plays before locking yourself, you need to draw other Dracoslayers and pendulum extenders to make Electrumite/Beyond the Pendulum/Exceed the Pendulum pre pendulum summon, and then since you'll probably use your pend summon to extend your plays, actually going into the link doesn't do anything. So either it gets you a weaker than average endboard, or you don't use it at all.
Im happy nue isint generic. It lets more than one pend deck exist. Idk if its overall a healthy deck etc but id rather there be more than one playable pend deck

It's not actually. You get 2 of (secret village, trap, trap 2) kirin probably isn't even good because you can't pend it without external support.

During opponents turn when you tribute any of your monsters the xyz summons bunbuku or kirin if it was legal. Kirin would just be a 1 of even if it was at 3, only summonable by wind and draco which isnt that bad tbh but its better not to draw

People being scared of Majespecter is laughable because Pendulums are never gonna do anything with Anti-Spell Fragrance and Dimensional Barrier around, regardless of how good they actually are.
By that logic, no deck in existence can do anything, since majority are heavily reliant on SPL's and their ED.
Anti spell existing is pure brain rot from Konami , cards like that make a case for side decking being too broken to be allowed.

Barrier (save for a single Set) and more than a few decks use more than one type of extra deck type - which by the way still doesn't affect their Main Deck though it is still extremely damaging-, also a fair amount of decks can do a lot through purely monster combos which just isn't the case for most if not all pendulum decks.

Most of the reason I don't like Kirin is because more often than not you had to eat the Kirin as there weren't many practical ways to deal with it. I'm pretty sure that's still the case now.
Its not, there's a lot of non-targeting negates now like DRNM, Droplet or you could steal it with TTT, good luck using those under Secret Village tho.
People are doom posting about every single thing that helps pendulums but we have 1 card combos in literally every deck EXCEPT pendulum. Dont kill every pend strat that allows us to actually manage resources
This possibly the worst set of cards they could possibly release, the Majespecter Dracoslayer existing ensures any pends strategies in the future are essentially diet stun and this is no different. Look forward to all of these being banned

Here is the problem with majespecter. Going 2nd, you have exactly 0 ways of dealing with spell/traps. This deck is going to be eaten alive by Lab at any point it tries to go into the extra deck.

@@incrediblednnib didn’t exist for several years after majespecter release. These fuckers ruined my fun a lot too with recurring negates and never losing advantage thanks to MR3 pend summoning. Blanks Dark Hole and Raigeki unless you could otk but they often had a negate for it, non-targeting removal was also hard to come by otherwise

Okay. I bet everyone hates this opinion. But are pendulum piles really that bad of a thing? If they were to at least ban the toxic generics (like Appolosa). The thing that I love about Pend piles is that it feels like I'm building a deck like I did as a kid, where all my cards have mini combos with other 1 off cards.
At this rate, I want everything in pendulum to get unbanned, and hope it becomes meta, so I can watch the meta burnnnn (for like two weeks, until people side deck accordingly).

Keep in mind, I hate the high combo into generic negates. I think banning generic negates so an entire summoning mechanic can strive is fine.
