How much is it? Im looking to get a great quad because im getting into riding. Mainly because i want to ride with my dad. He has a banshee its sick but a lil fast for me right now.
I'm not sure if I should get the raptor or the can am ds 250. I do serious Mudding but I don't want a utility because I also race. Which has more torque?
i just got a used 2008 only ridden for a year raptor 250 and it surprised me with how much power, speed, and of course stopping power. the only problem is i need a part for the hedlight. i do recomend this for beginers
Hi I'm 13 and 5'8 and one hundred and fifty pounds I am strong I was wonderin witch is good for me I want a lot of speed and I want a yfz 450 or a raptor 700r
@78Miller78 if its your first and your only 13, dont even think about getting somethin as big and heavy as a 700 (even if you are tall and strong). a 450 will be good for a experienced 13 year old, but if its your first quad, i would recommend something like a honda trx250, they have a new clutch for beginners which makes it real hard to stall, and it has reverse
I'm 6'5" and 270 my 12 year old daughter has a raptor 250 and i like playing around on it just as much as my 700. it would be ok for a taller rider if your a beginer but you could get sick of it not being powerful enough for you, also you'd have to contend with smart ass riders making fun of you or laughing at you . if your looking for a good ride thats still cheap,polaris has the trailblazer and honda still sells the 300ex and 400ex.you could also just trick the raptor 250 out and widen it.
@julioigna71 For a first ATV, you want something that has a reverse gear. At altitudes below 500 feet, a modern 125cc bike delivers decent performance for riders up to about 200 pounds at the very most (that's WAY more than the max weight "allowed" on the label); if you're heavier than that, or operate at higher altitudes, get a bigger engine. The most versatile 2WD choice is probably a 300-350cc ATV; the most economical is likely the 250. In 4WD, add 100-150cc to those recommendations.
@imnotavegeta oh hells yeah. im 12 too and im 98 pounds. it is perfect for me. i just put nerf bars, bumper, and gas cap on mine. i give it a 12/10. its that good. it suites all riders from 4'3 59lbs, to 6'0 200lbs perfectly. im right in the middle. it has okay power. it needs better exhaust to fly. overall 12/10
@CrazyBum199 get a 2stroke if u wanna go fast and have cheaper simpler repairs... but if u want sheer tourque go for a 4stroke... if u get a 2stroke get a blaster and modd it or get a trx250... if u want a 4stroke get a raptor350 or 400ex
@Lachman0102 The 350 with reverse should be a sweet ride. Lots of sports riders say you don't need a reverse and, while that may be true for a race bike, it's a pain in the backside to not have one on an ATV. For a motivated adult male of average strength, tossing around a sub-400-pound ATV is pretty easy; however, dismounting *every time* you want to back up is a ridiculous pain in the backside for the trail rider, explorer and lightweight scout.
@chancerbob95 Unless you have *lots* of experience, the 450 is going to be dangerous: it's power is more like "on" and "off" but the 250 has a pretty smooth power delivery. If you absolutely must have more power, go to the 700, which is much less radical than the 450 and not much heavier than the 250 (especially considering weight). For trails and creeks and pretty much any other recreational riding, the flyweight 250 Raptor is an ideal choice if chain drive is OK.
i had a 2008 raptor 250 and it was the biggets piece of shit i ever had and if u ever want 2 get rid of one have fun the dealer aint gunna give u shit 4 it
1.whats the lowest price of this atv?

How much is it? Im looking to get a great quad because im getting into riding. Mainly because i want to ride with my dad. He has a banshee its sick but a lil fast for me right now.
@66islanders how old are u and where did you buy it from because i wonder if it will be small for me being 5.10 and 138lbs

I'm not sure if I should get the raptor or the can am ds 250. I do serious
Mudding but I don't want a utility because I also race. Which has more torque?
I'm 6'3 and kinda wondering if this bike is a bit too small. Any suggestions?
do you think a rapter 250 would be good for a beginner at the age of 15 that has never riden a clutch atv before
is it better to get a raptor 250 or a bulldog elite pit bike 200cc
Do they have reverse? Or you have to pull them to back up

Well in the end I bought a Raptor 350. It was a tough choice, but 100 more cc's and reverse made me choose the 350
how fast is the raptor250 stalk?
HOW FAST DOES THIS GO THEN 55-60MPH?
im 13 and 5'4 could i ride this
Does that have a kick start also because i hate electrics.
anyone know if today is still made the raptor 250 in 2014
or has been discontinued
If the blaster was never discontinued these raptors would have probably never been produced. Wish they still made the blasters. 2 stroke all day
yeah thats y im getting it ive never riden clutch so im getting the raptor 250 because it is really easy especially on the raptor 250
Hi I'm 13 and 5'8 and one hundred and fifty pounds I am strong I was wonderin witch is good for me I want a lot of speed and I want a yfz 450 or a raptor 700r
hell yes! it's very reliable compared to all 250's. and of course it's the fastest 250
i'm 11 will this be suitable for me?
Ross Butler yes, I have one. Haven't been able to ride in a while but I started riding when I was about 8
@Croriderjunior exactly... clutches are sooo much more fun to play around with compared to autos... you can do a lot more things with it i think haha
@Rccar23 no raptor 250s do.
such a nice bike
can't wait to get mine :D
OMG I live in NJ and I've been within a mile of that place hahah. I was at the Queen Marry just a few years ago. I love Yamaha
they should of kept the blaster :(
have you ever rode a quad before
@78Miller78 if its your first and your only 13, dont even think about getting somethin as big and heavy as a 700 (even if you are tall and strong). a 450 will be good for a experienced 13 year old, but if its your first quad, i would recommend something like a honda trx250, they have a new clutch for beginners which makes it real hard to stall, and it has reverse
did anybody have problems with their motor mounts on this bike?
mine broke
I'm 6'5" and 270 my 12 year old daughter has a raptor 250 and i like playing around on it just as much as my 700. it would be ok for a taller rider if your a beginer but you could get sick of it not being powerful enough for you, also you'd have to contend with smart ass riders making fun of you or laughing at you . if your looking for a good ride thats still cheap,polaris has the trailblazer and honda still sells the 300ex and 400ex.you could also just trick the raptor 250 out and widen it.
@MrGabeHumphrey the under sixteen warnig sticker is jst a reccomendation. they put it on so that they r not liable for stuff

@CrazyBum199 well im 12 and a starter getting a 250 get a raptor 700 cus you have experience and if its to spensive raptor 350 or a warrior 350
@julioigna71

Why do so many people want to know if it's automatic? I've seen 10 year olds operate a clutch it's so easy
@imnotavegeta oh hells yeah. im 12 too and im 98 pounds. it is perfect for me. i just put nerf bars, bumper, and gas cap on mine. i give it a 12/10. its that good. it suites all riders from 4'3 59lbs, to 6'0 200lbs perfectly. im right in the middle. it has okay power. it needs better exhaust to fly. overall 12/10
like 45mph. the raptor 250 goes about 50-55mph stock with a 115-150lbs rider on it.
@nerferme3 Depends, whats your skill level. I learned on a 125 breeze win I was 5 and now I'm 14 and I do freestyle and racing on Raptor 125 and 250.
is the raptor 250 have clutch
quilliam moody yes it's not automatic
@JakobMann9
no, it has great handling
@wireflight the 450s are faster than 700 and lighter and the 700 is very top heavy
@Lachman0102

300ex honda - im 13 i got one and its perfect and fast
@SweetySnowman this quad would be perfect for you im 13 and like 5 .7' so i reckon it would be great
@TimeOfOcarina Ok. I think all bikes should come with a kick starter.
@snakelord12 You're 15.....and you have been riding for 18 years...huh?
i was gonna get it but it has no reverse chain drive and only like 4 inches of ground clearance no good for my home town
yes it has a clutch
also the ONLY bad thing about the raptor 250 is it doesent have reverse
yep. 250 cc's.
eg.
KFX700 - K=Kawasaki, FX=sport quad, 700=seven hundred cc's.
YFZ450 - Y=Yamaha, FZ=Racer, 450=four hundred fifty cc's.
where i live a raptor 250 cost 6200 dollars in Chile
