you can also bait the hammer smash on purpose by being in his general mid position right before his next attack, Ive gotten hammer smash like 5-6 times in a row, and its nice because you get guarantee 3 hits off, with 2 being headshots. Also, when he roars, you can stay close to him and he will roar + heavy swing twice in a row, this is also great because you can constantly attack him for free as a rogue
The double heavy swing is due to low will on base rogue. There are lots of little things you can do when you are comfortable with the fight, you can actually get 4-5 rondel hits, hit body instead of arm and other things. For the hammer smash on normal you can take 3 head shots and jump over the swing. Lots of options when you got the basics down.

@mojitobeans I'm a new player I watched my friend get a portal steal off of a 2man haha was funny a Fighter on one side and the wizard on this side and my friend runs up and takes the wizards port so lucky too

Awful lot of competition a lot of the time, which is fine, but also full plate clerics griefing every now and then too. Either way, glad I don't need to be ignoring the troll from now on, thank you!
@@Pincsi01 nice, I mostly prefer rogue just because I can scoot away if people grief after the boss is dead. I'd loot and just dip through the door they didn't come in... If they fight while the boss is alive you can hide and force aggro onto them then slowly close the distance in stealth for the kill. I'm sure it's just because I'm more comfortable with rogue, I bet you'll be a monster with some more interactions around the boss. Hope to see you in high roller soon.

So, mojito, can you explain to me why you run weakpoint over rupture (while using a base grey, grey or white dagger)? Weakpoint increases your next attack by 50%, which on base, grey, and white daggers means a damage increase of between 6-10 extra damage. Then for 5 seconds, that targets Armor Rating is decreased by 40% (multiplicatively, not additively, meaning it will never go below 0). That means you might get a few extra points of damage out of your next 3-4 stabs, but it wont be over 10 damage. Now compare it to rupture, which does a flat 20 damage over 5 seconds. Weakpoint attack doesnt become the go-to skill (especially with the last patches weapon damage crunch for higher tiers) until you hit the Rare quality tier at minimum, where it will likely surpass rupture. Yes, Weakpoint would be better (at all tiers) against fighters that have a 85% Damage Reduction, but at that point you are probably kitted yourself, so its moot. Now i will say, if you are kitted to the freaking max, and you setup a weakpoint/ambush/backstab/dagger mastery/thrust combo, then heck ya you are gonna do massive damage, and its def the way to go at that point. P.S. I like your work overall. Keep it up.
I'd almost never come to kill the troll without a green or better weapon. You don't really need ANY perk or skill to kill the troll, I normally just take what helps me get out of the dungeon. And the upfront damage I feel like is better with ambush/weakpoint and follow up hits.

It's 3-4 normal attacks per hammer smash for sure. If you are getting combined that just counts for 1 attack. You have to stay in melee range before he picks the hammer up for the smash or he will roar/charge you
I farm on warlock by constantly baiting his roar and swing and then jump casting out of range, and I'm pretty sure the random charges he does just happens sometimes when you get way too far away from him, but it's farther than the roar distance. I usually stand slightly out of melee and he roars at me all the time, but never does the random charge anymore as long as I don't get too far.
Warlock is so dang fast, takes under a minute naked spamming spells.... I do circle left... Can jump over the swing attack, and can strafe while casting far enough to avoid the AOE from the regular slam. You can phantomize him if you mess up the distance or he does that heavy swing for no reason. The AOE from the smashes will still hit you though.

I wouldn't do it naked, at least a vendor weapon. But for no investment I'd say normal would profit more cause you're gonna die a lot in HR after the troll

Yes, anytime the boss doesn't have aggro on someone, it will instantly be full HP. If they die while you are in the room fighting as well, it will not reset.

The only time he ever chains attacks is when you are too close to him after he does the normal swiping attack. Just create more distance when starting the fight.

Troll loot feels pretty limp for high roller for me... The normal goblin caves seems more profitable, especially when the entry fee is 50/100 for HR. What do you think about it?

I personally don't play DoT build, but it kills the troll very fast. You can EASILY kill the high roller troll with base equipment rogue with full DMG setup.

I'm not sure about fastest, I know circle right is faster than left, but I just try to make the safest way for people to learn the fight.
AKSHALLY warlock definitely the fastest. Can kill the troll in UNDER a minute, naked level 1

Kris is terrible lol, rondel is in a good spot right now, stiletto still good. I've been trying the castillon, feels way better than the Kris for me.

Do you use blow of corruption or phantomize? You can phantomize all his attacks besides the AOE ones.

You're entering melee range too soon after dodging the first attack.
yeah i still can get this i approach from behind then move to the left but the troll does like a chain of 3 attacks

Absolutely. I'd recommend a spear, just get 1 hit in per attack.
