in this video I quickly discuss the reasons why I chose to run Fasted in the mornings.
    1. gets it done out of the way
    2. don't get stitches
    3. heart rate is lower
    4. sets you up for the day

Hello! I've too never eaten before a run and it has always been great. I thought everyone does that. The same applies to biking and hiking. However, I always have and drink water with electrolytes ( clean formula, with no sugar, no sugar substitutes, additives, fruit, etc. ) and plenty of sea salt. Also, I can't run properly with food in my stomach, which I why I run early in the morning.
Personally, I think there are more benefits for health, when running, biking, exercising fasted than loading up on food ( most people will do lots of carbs ) and then heading out to run/exercise.
    Cheers!

Thanks for commenting it is heavily dependent on the duration and intensity of the exercise. Personally anything over 90 mins then I need to eat. And if I am in an ultra marathon then I will use a carbed drink along with real foods

Hi Lee, What's your thoughts on fat adapted running as appose to carb loaded running?

Problem is to run fat adapted you have to be keto and I rely on carbs pretty much mate

So much stuff online saying not to do this but I do exactly the same. Best runs are always fasted morning runs, slows me down so much running after eating

Hi there! Could you link to that stuff online, that says you shouldn't run fasted? I would like to read more about it.

@@leerunsultras Sorry for that! :) I actually meant asking @danphillips5456, but apparently I failed at that. Again, sorry for the confusion.
I am always curious to read information on things I consider interesting, hence my question. I like exercising fasted, and I do agree with your points on elevated HR after eating and later on the day. It's something that happens to me as well. I've tried eating and then going oput for a run after a couple of hours, and it's just not for me. It must be the way my body functions, my form, body compositon, etc. etc., so I stick to fasted running.

I love to run first thing but hate to eat first thing. Only force myself to eat a banana or whatever for weights, intervals or a long long run

If I'm doing a run early morning then I never eat. Horrible running with food in you.
