It’s that time of the year when our usual suspects turn into marketing agents for the promotion of Vivek Agnihotri’s latest film. While Manipur simmered with tension, and BJP MP Ramesh Bhiduri got “rewarded” for his communal tirade in the Parliament, our primetime TV news anchors were busy promoting The Vaccine War, touted to be “India’s first bio-science film”. Interestingly, the news channels promoting the “bio-science film” today had hosted anti-vaxxers, like Baba Ramdev, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hypocrisy aside, Agnihotri exploited his free pass to make any fact-free assertions on TV. From “toolkits” to foreign pharma lobbies “hiring journalists” to sabotage India’s indigenous vaccine programme - we heard every possible outlandish claim.
In other news, our anchors got international fame this week for spreading misinformation. Former Indian diplomat claimed Justin Trudeau’s plane to India was “full of cocaine”. Of course, such “credible rumour” mongering fit the bill, given the debate was being hosted by Deepak Chaurasia who sought to understand how Trudeau’s brain works.

Vivek Agnihotri's definition - A person who made 4 movies in his initial 9 years (all of those were both critically and monetarily flopped) but after 2014 in the next 9 years he has made 6 movies/web-series and currently working on 1 (all of those got mixed reviews critically but the recent 3 movies did well on box office because they were praising the government).
On camera sudhir just flipped the table on camera. How great of him he was giving Agnihotri hints "Agar aap chahenge toh mai acting ke liye taiyar hu" .

His idea worked as you can see how the Kashmir file was the only movie that was a blockbuster in 2022. But now after the revival of Bollywood after SRK came back no one is giving 2 sh*ts about Vivek Agnihotri's film. It barely made 1 crore on its opening day meanwhile Fukrey opened with 8 crores.
