It's so weird to watch myself like this😆 But thank you very much for the nice experience and test/lesson, apart from the nerves I enjoyed it very much!😂 ❤ Btw I hear myself yapping about the insurance (and my dad just watched it and explained some more about it…) as its quite difficult to explain and I just want to clarify in short, I have insurance but its on my parents ‘account’, if I pay it myself its more expensive. Its not that I don’t have it😆 Thanks for all the lovely comments💜
Yep its same here in the UK, your parents can have the main insurance Policy and they can add an Additional driver in the same insurance Policy. And since they have more experience, they most likely have NCD's and lower price premium. So adding you on won't be that bad. Here if you are 18-25 insurance is very expensive for a new driver. But if you are already old like 30+ and a new driver that just passed the test. The price premium is not as bad as one's aged 25 below. (i.e. a friend of mine who is 20 years of age and just passed their driving exam got a £2000 for a year's worth of insurance. Whilst someone else I know who also just passed but is 31 years old got £900 for a year, same company same premium insurance)
Hi Lisa, I don't think you showed any nerves at all. You were smooth and calm after no more than the first minute of this video, and I would be perfectly happy to be driven by a smooth and confident driver such as you (even without dual control). Good wishes for luck in your future driving wherever. In the UK, too many drivers who, once they have passed their test, appear the have the attitude "I have passed, so now I can drive as I like to get in front", which is very bad for the rest of us! Reality only kicks in when their insurance premiums increase significantly, are refused, or they are banned from driving following a serious accident!
Lordy Lordy, this girl is AMAZING!🎉🎉 I can only dream that I’ll drive this good on my test day (this is my route) Thanks Francis for recommending this vid to me p.s I love the colour of your car AND hoodie, bright colours FTW!!❤❤
Yes it really is! It also a kind of mock test as they know you can’t drive on your own yet and afterwards they give you feedback on what you can improve for your real test! The only thing is, if you fail your first test you have to do your manoeuvres again in your 2nd..
Great Driving Lisa and actually uses indicators i applaud compared to so many people in the UK who absolutely do not after they pass which drives me Nuts.
1:19 perfect question and a perfect answer because you did ask about Holland 😂 Don’t drive on the right in England 😅 Thank you Lisa for coming on.😮 Hope someday this summer i could take a mock test with Francis admin.😊 23:26 Francis with the commentary of what we can see ahead :)
In Germany we do the emergency stop as well! It's also considered a manoeuvre and we have to do three manoeuvres in total. Most people feel like the emergency stop is the easiest one (me included)
Omg I made a driving test with my friend in Germany (she’s a drivers instructor there) and she made one with me and somehow I managed to NOT get it and I lived in the UK at that time 🥲
17:27 We used to have the manoeuvres reverse around a corner and turn in the road, usually engineered to be a three point turn, although sometimes the road was wide enough to u-turn. 😆 Which make up the same basic manoeuvres Lisa mentioned.
She forgot to mention one. We (Dutch drivers) could also get a gradient/slope test. It requires the test taker to drive up a slope, stop the car and set the parking brake. Then, when safe to do so move off (so yes with mirror checks, blind spot check and using the indicator) without going backwards. And as per unwritten rule, at the end of the test, the test taker will have a neck hernia (because of the blind spot check) 😂
@maxvandenberg955 We also have that, but I guess because not all test centres have suitable locations for this it's not a standardised manoeuvre. But instead something that's incorporated into test routes if possible.
So refreshing to see Lisa not milking the steering wheel (that push-pull that's taught in the UK). I wonder if it's the reason her moves are slick? I really hope this push-pull will be eliminated from the UK standards soon. 😊
@@Eva-mp7xg it’s seen as the safest way to steer but personally I think it’s clunky and unnecessary and once people pass they don’t steer like that anymore
@@DrivingSchoolTV Yes, I totally agree that it's clunky and unnecessary, and that most ppl don't use it after their exam. Maybe we should get rid of this requirement and in exchange introduce a separate test for manoeuvres (it's a really great idea from the NL) 😊
I'm starting to do maneuvers but struggling when reversing into a bay with what way to steer and the same with coming out of a bay after forward baypark any tips just to remember
@DrivingSchoolTV atleast now I know not everyone in NL love verstappen 😅 she got Carlos shirt! Also this is actually a nice video. Have people from different country drive in the UK. Maybe have someone from Spain or France next. Curious how they will rate the UK test and traffic conditions versus in their own country.
northern europe people & fluency in english language...well dear Francis you like easy win, I dare you to try a driving lesson with an italian guy, like me...just kidding, maybe keep up with the good work, love your smile & passion & energy

doing a 2 part driving test for manoeuvres is a solid idea

Jesus Christ! Her driving standards are significantly higher than quite a few ‘experienced’ drivers native to our roads.
aah thank you so much!
it's because it's "harder" to make a license in europe with all the compulsory hours and shit
Great to see you again Francis and Lisa is a fantastic driver! I hope you enjoy your holiday in London Lisa! 🙃
I also haven't parallel parked since I passed in January, why do i get the feeling I wouldn't be able to do it as smooth as that 😂
Lisa was SO GOOD! Definitely a lot better than I would be on the other side of the road! Dutch driving standards must be GREAT!
thanks!

great concept. And such nice people. Which is a relief at times.

Thinking in the target language is so much easier than translating in real-time.

She really was slick! It’s not even a standard that needs to be taught in the test over here 🤷♂️

Love video
Even though I passed first time (4 minors) I think the Swedish system is good.
Hej mooi doan Lisa, ik ben trots op oe. 😛
I guess they don’t do hill starts in the Netherlands…
Trust me, we Dutch MAKE UP hills so much that there’s is one on every exam route.
They do. Often at or around parking garages.
