With the weight transfer it’s easy because if you put it too far to the left you will spin like crazy but too far to the right you can barely make a 6 sec pass

Yes, that's the general rule. Setup 1st gear to be as short as possible without the wheels spinning and then the rest to keep the car always in the power band.

@@jims5852 tweak first and second gears to get the best grab and power delivery. Mess around with tire temps on burnouts too if you're not sure about which temp works best for your build.
How come I cant go faster than 245/247 mph but the computer goes 254/257. I only win from faster reaction times. I’ve watch the videos I’ve set the car up for good 60 foot (.88-.90) just can’t get the extra mph
But you'll be further from peak power and torque for a longer amount of time. So overall the extra shift time is cancelled out by the better acceleration staying in the power band.
If your car's powerband falls off at approximately 9000 rpm, why not set the rev limiter at that amount or even a bit higher, versus leaving it at 10,000?
You could set it to about 9500 (when you want to shift) but it won't make any difference because you'd shift then anyway with the limiter maxed at 10000rpm.
Does the formula apply with 1-4 gears? I'm trying to build something like Cleetus McFarland's Leroy, he does have a six-speed but he shifts 1-4 only. Thanks for the tutorial man! Oh yeah! You should make a tune for 10.5 size radials. P.s fastest I got was 6 flat lol

For street start lights put your delay box at .400 and let go of launch as soon as the yellow light comes on

With the weight transfer it’s easy because if you put it too far to the left you will spin like crazy but too far to the right you can barely make a 6 sec pass
Lower grip tires (street&et street) you need the weight on the rear
High grip tires shift most weight to the front
If your on full slicks put it around 0.58-0.7 to the left

Launch can be anywhere from 7k-10k in general. So just pick a value and find the gears for that.

In general adjust the bar so the front wheels are about half front tire diameter off the ground max.

5 speed you'll need to make 5th the same as my 6th gear. Then make the others Inbetween slightly longer than mine.

Yh, that's not part of the setup. It's just so you can adjust the graph scale to see all the gears.

Unfortunately the game doesn't work like real life! I tried to set up a car like it had a 2 speed powerglide and there was no way to make it work!
