I noticed that too! I find it hilarious. But then again, in "Frozen" she did add "please" while giving orders to her people before she went looking for Elsa.
It rarely ever happens because he never lets go of his dagger. Why he had it out in his hand is beyond me. And she only got the best of him because of the stupid little mouse. If it wasnt for him shed either be dead or locked up in Rumples home.
@@sethmiles9436Rumple needed the dagger to activate the hat, it's like a magic wand to him. And the mouse was the sorcerers apprentice, given the task to protect the hat from all dark ones.
0:38 What Rumple fails to mention to a naïve Anna, though I'm quite sure he knows it well, is that it's quite possible to love someone AND fear them at the same time. Ask Henry Jr. about Regina, for one example among many.
At first, I thought Anna had left he huge loophole, because she didn't mention not hurting Kristoff or Arendale. But then I realized that 'harming her or her sister' might well cover all that, because doing any of that harms them!
did you notice something else?? anna sets some very specific strick limits forbitting rumple to hurt her and her sister but she doesn't mention kristoff, even when she willingly postpones her wedding with him... indeed the person she loves the most is elsa... i suspect that her freezing curse (in the original film) wouldn't have broken with kristoff
Rumple wasn't set on Kristoff he mentions knowing of her sister so it's likely that's who was on her mind. The kiss though as confirmed by the musical team on Frozen would have saved Anna because she and Kristoff are genuinely true loves but that doesby pass her love for her sister.
It’s interesting how similar the Frozen sequel was to this storyline. In the sequel, they meant to go to Ahtahallan to figure out why she had her powers.
“Yes, that’s how it works...” Anna did the right thing, because Raging Enchanted Forest Rumple is intimidating enough to make anyone nervous enough to drop the dagger (except maybe Cora, Magnificently Heinous Queen that she is).
So one of the sweetest characters in the show managed to defeat Rumplestiltskin whilst still being fairly polite about it. Also I like how at various points throughout the series he looks more crocodiley or more bulked out when he's at his most evil - the Wish Realm version who is considered beyond redemption is noticeably a lot more padded and almost completely reptilian.
2:17 A very sharp brain thinking very fast. If Kristoff didn't already have her, Anna might make a good love interest for Henry when he grew up a bit more, in some ways they are a lot alike, and if Henry didn't mind slightly older women the thought of Anna as the Evil Queen's daughter-in-law is hilarious.
I hope rumple does not die because of the hat and all the magic it has! I can understand he wants to be free of that blasted dagger, but really is it worth all the lies he tells to everyone including belle?
Remember what he said. He wants to be free of the dagger and keep his power. He is no saint. It took me a long time to understand this but Rumplestinskin is no saint.

Would the commands to 'never hurt me or my sister' and 'turn the mouse back into a man' even be honoured? Technically speaking.. she made those commands and then left (without the dagger). Would Rumple really be forced to obey the set commands of a Master who no longer has the dagger? It was foolish for Anna to leave the dagger behind. Either Rumple hunts down Anna and Elsa in Arendelle (without hurting them because he can’t) and they don’t have the dagger, or he hunts them down and they DO have the dagger.
I disagree, even a good person can turn bad if given enough power for long enough. Anna didn't want that power, she just wanted to be certain that she and Elsa would be safe from Rumple and to make sure he didn't get the hat - even though he still eventually did. Remember in a flashback during season 6, in order to stop a man from spreading lies about Rumple, Baelfire - who had the dagger at the time - ordered Rumple to kill the man and later was talking about how he could make it so that no one would ever talk bad about them again. At which point Rumple erased his son's memory of the event because he needed Bae to be his beacon of light.

The wishywashy Dark One dagger commands lasting post ownership. Really nothing stopping him from teleporting to exactly where he sent her and taking the box. Or even just teleport people holding the dagger before they can enact a command, unless there is subset of rules like the azimuths laws. Ah Magic.
Meenakshi Mishra He needed it to unlock the hat. I gues he could've left the daggar at his castle and taken the hat back there, but he must've been just a little hasty.
He needed the tear of someone who'd faced their inner darkness and won (in this case Anna's tear) on his dagger to even be able to touch the box due to the protective spells placed on it.
Anyone here actually read the book the sword in the stone? The apprentices house here on once upon a time is how Merlyn’s house is described; the second floor is where his study etc. is, we see a ladder in this episode but we don’t see where it goes...
He had to because Anna ordered him to with the dagger. He had no choice. Plus as previously stated, the apprentice is seen several more times through out the rest of the series.
VERY Good question! I was wondering that myself. If that true, all Merlin had to do to is to command Nimue with “You can never do anything dark ever again”. And then they’re you have it - the dark one problem solved
Yo just saying bell had a easy way to stop rumple just tell him to stop trying to break the connection to the blade and to take it a step further tell him to hand the blade to anyone’s house asks for it or a select few that would completely balance him out while at still be able to help the story along but to be honest when it’s magic they mostly go to Regina so he would be demoted to a background character slightly

I think my favorite thing about Anna in this scene is that, even wielding the dagger and commanding Rumplestiltskin, she says "please."
Anna, living proof that you can be badass and nice at the same time! She taught David how to do it, too!

It’s actually consistent with the original fairy tale
First person to remember to be specific with the wish
"Because I have this...wavy knife?"
Of all the people who could outwit Rumpelstiltskin... Anna from Frozen was not the first person I would imagine.
