PS1 has half the game missing, skipping and merging a bunch of levels. It has some things no other version (besides PS2 probably) has, but it's not really worth it. The PS2 version has an open world thing where you have to walk around between the worlds instead of just jumping into portals. It has more enemies, bosses andmore levels (I think). It also has more characters and generally a lot more content. I wouldn't consider it the "definitive version" as it's a largely different remake, but it is the best version.
In my version of Rayman 2 (as a Yankee) Rayman actually does not speak, and neither does anyone else! He just makes weird noises ('gabba gud scoob!') while the subtitles imply what he's saying. I actually liked this, as if he was speaking his own language. He even pronounces 'Globox' something closer to 'Glabbalox'. Globox sounds like Patrick Starr if he was a Simm and the pirates just sound like metallic robot chatter.
Hoodlum Havoc was a fucking fantastic game, one of the first I got with my GameCube, quite a difficult game as you approach the end but overall really fun

3:57 If anyone's wondering, their actual name is Anti-Toon. 4:13 So bad it's funny 5:20 It's decent but nothing beats the first game's soundtrack for me. 6:17 Weird name 9:19 Fucked up Valentine's Day 11:33 Idk, it's good enough for me on PS2 although there is one part in The Precipice where there's a lot of space to fight against a few pirates but just one small secret above the door that takes you to the next section. The shell sections control well enough but not only are the running shell sections janky with how I have crashed a number of times for no reason which is why I always feel a little nervous when a shell comes up, The Prison Ship even introduces a flying one! Ugh, I would have preferred more platforming and the flying shell isn't that interesting and IT'S THE MAIN REASON WHY THE LEVEL IS A PAIN! You also have to use one against Razorbeard in the second phase and it's repetitive!! 12:44 funny noise 14:35 What? I really like this part, it controls well enough for me and it's a good challenge, even more so if you go for a minimal lum challenge. Although you don't want to do that dumb challenge. You just don't. Only the music is a pain. Berries in Rayman games really are the strongest berries.
....but ma boi, wheres umjammer lammer?
His Sister Did A Review On It, So I Guess He's Putting It On Hold?

This is one of the most underrated games ever.
Sigh ummm ok
It's one of the highest reviewed and widely ported games ever made, how is it underrated?
Ubisoft must have gotten inspiration from their work environment.
