The clownfish turned out lovely, as usual. I really like the nickel azo yellow., in fact I like it much better than the DS Indian yellow. The pigments are different than most brands of that color and it is just wrong to me. What seemed like an unlikely trio worked wonderfully together. Your creativity helps me see colors in a new way. Thank you for sharing- see you next time.😎

I love your clown fish and the way the colors blend together is really nice. I have the cascade green and it separates really nicely on cold press paper doing wet on wet, it's really cool. I think I have the yellow one, though don't use it much, but I think I need to start, it's a really nice yellow. Also just added the coral to my wish list lol

This is very cool and I like the way you swatched the new paints on your drawn tubes.
I have the cascade green and the quin. coral. The nickel azo yellow I have are from Schmincke and Roman Szmal.
The cascade green looks wonderful with lots of water. Wetting the paper and paint wet paint on the paper and just watching what happens. Sometimes I tilt the paper to manipulate the flow. I love this. I often use it for backgrounds.
I usually buy the smaller 5ml tubes if available. That way I can buy more colours and I never use up a 15ml tube anyway because I have so many different brands and colours. I guess you could call me a collector. Nobody needs so many colours, haha.

I love that you used the word "persnickety!" I always use that word, but I rarely hear it from other people. Such a fun word! I love how you added more color into your glass at the end there and it turned out so pretty. I do love that Nickel Azo Yellow, and you're right - it makes a beautiful mix with the Quin. Coral. Fun colors!

Persnickety is a most excellent word which needs to be used more often, haha! Thank you - the glass was looking a little dull until I added in the yellow. It was just a quick sketch which at one point I thought wasn't going to turn out at all, lol.

Quin coral is a gorgeous red, one of my favourites. I really like the nickelazoyellow too. Nice addition to your set. Hope your spring is getting going and your lockdowns start to get easier. We are heading to autumn here, our spring and summer together were just about 12 weeks. I won’t even talk about the rest. I barely painted at all, was so desperate for sunshine and inspiration! Hope the spring brings you plenty.

Cherry blossoms have started blooming, and there have even been a few sunny days! This helps cheer me up a lot, and I am very much affected by seasonal sunlight as well. I was filling pans yesterday, and after seeing another UA-cam comment (on a different video), I tried smacking the pan repeatedly on the table to settle the paint down. Worked like a charm and the expected paint mess all over my fingers did not happen!

If you can get your hands on Rosa Gallery paints I definitely recommend them, they are a really decently priced artist grade paint-and in my opinion better then white nights but way cheaper-atleast they are super cheap here in the US, Im not sure how they are priced elsewhere....Anyway great video, thanks for sharing- much love🧡❤💜❤

Someone may have already suggested this for keeping paints from spurting out when opening a new tube. Gently squeeze the tube from the sides and it pulls the paint down away from the cap. Hope this helps.

It’s really funny to me that cascade green is so popular. I got it as part of a set and it’s in my palette but I never use it. Maybe I’ll try it out after this but I tend not to use greens out of the tube that’s a color I prefer to mix myself. Although my one exception to that is apatite genuine.

Initially I didn’t like the Quin Coral but it grew on me, especially by mixing it with Indian Yellow for a bright orange. I’ve got Schmincke’s version of Nickel Azo Yellow and absolutely love it, but if I had to choose just one yellow by Daniel Smith I’d go for Indian Yellow as it’s a bit more versatile.
