This video is awesome! The passenger snapping his neck, the drivers knee hitting the roof on the dry hop and launch, and the awesome cog swapping on the run. I think I have watched it 5-6 times straight!
I would say that the transmission in the car is a JERICO. That is a common transmission in a stock eliminator drag car and the driver was not using the clutch during the gear changes. With a Jerico, you don't have to use the clutch during gear changes, you just have to break power to shift - let off gas pedal.
The passenger thought it was gonna be just like his Nissan Altima when he puts "super" in it. Yeah then his head almost got ripped off from the weight of the helmet. Funny watching his face change after the dry hop. I love it!
@dragster2085 he has line lock, look at his thumb on the shifter when he is doing the burnout, that button puts the front brakes on so he can do a burnout without going anywhere.
I know im just saying there is a nitrous switch on most control panels even if you dont run it. Our nova has a nitrous switch but we dont spray. I was just explaining what the switches were.
Does anyone know what kind of transmission this car has? Looks like some type of clutch-less gearbox like a liberty perhaps? Definitely not a Lenco, there's only one shifter stick.
LOL !!!!!!!!! passenger looked scared shitless on the launch and the 1-2 shift :) In his defense, he had NO head rest at all, the same pass with high back racing seats would of been MUCH more enjoyable
More skilled and experienced then myself but I'm kind of surprised he grinds hard going into reverse and doesn't let the trans spin down for a second or three and then he clunks going into first while still rolling. After coming out of reverse it should go into first like butter even without making a complete stop.
@WickedTornado I always heard about the story going like this, My cars so fast Im gonna put a 100 on the dash and when I punch it if you can grab it you can have it. It always sounded kind of stupid to me cuz in my car you can put anything on the dash and its gonna end up in your lap.
now i have a quick question how in the holy hell does a person do a burnout like that without holding the clutch like that isn't that damaging the transmission when they do that
My brother in law has a Road Runner with a Hemi. I asked him once if a small block ever beat him or gave him a good run. He said the sad thing is if this Hemi isn't perfectly tuned a shabby small block with put me to shame.
dfinkie, looking back can be fun a reality check is required. In the 70's I built my first race car with a stick in it and have had several since. Modern technology has allowed stick cars to go quicker, safer and more reliably. Take some time to understand the sophisication and detail of todays Stock Eliminator cars and their amazing performance relative to the rules. You will come away with a better understanding the skill level required to build a car like this one.
Hey its called speedshifting. You dont have the clutch in when doing a burnout and also spinning tyres in a ricecracker is different to a v8 street/drag car.
hahaha n i forgot to mention its funny how while the car takes off his face looks like he was scared lol n not even 2 secs after he tries to get his face back like if nothing happened like the a real MACHO MAN lol
That dry hop whip lash had me on the floor! lmao
I can't stop laughing too 🤣🤣😂 that nearly snapped his neck
The foot release off the line was epic!!
when i need a good laugh i keep having to come back to watch this. thanks
How fun to watch the passenger's reaction! Poor guy - he had no head rest!
This video is awesome! The passenger snapping his neck, the drivers knee hitting the roof on the dry hop and launch, and the awesome cog swapping on the run. I think I have watched it 5-6 times straight!
the passenger looks like what the hell have I got myself into lol

the passenger 😂😂
That guys head flung back so hard lmao
Excellent! TY NHRA3168 and UA-cam. We can't see too many of these in car vids. To cool!
I'm in awe that a 283 stock eliminator can run like that! I built up a 67 Nova 283 and got it to run 12.80's in street trim, but low 11's? Dang!
The passenger thought it was gonna be just like his Nissan Altima when he puts "super" in it. Yeah then his head almost got ripped off from the weight of the helmet. Funny watching his face change after the dry hop. I love it!
Haha! I love how the driver let go off the clutch!
awesome drivn on the stick and just loved the torque test you just about broke his neck .
mustache you a question how is the back seat !!! lmfao !!!!!
ha haaaaa that dudes head almost ended up on the parcel shelf with that test launch.
Truly awesome
Was that the doofus nationals? The smoke inside the car from the burnout was priceless. lol
The passenger's face @ 1:21 LMFAO
The guys face is fucked the whole time I thought he was either going to cry or shit his pants
@@jeffleblanc8850 pissing my self laughing
Passenger needs a diaper change. Priceless.
Lmfao that Test launch though, the passenger was Totally unprepared for that.
His expression at 1.21 was priceless!
He peeled his muffin cap back 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@idkstupid123 There switches for the ignition, fuel pump, fan, lights, nitrous etc.
Very cool, I like !!!!!!
Wicked.
What type of video camera was used ?
I'm thinking about getting a GoPRO set-up for my motorcycle and in car shots like this
AHHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHA the guy on the lefts face when they take off HAHAHAHA
Nice whip lash dude!!! LOL!!!
Awesome!!!
what did he turn on or off at the end
What kind of trans/clutch was that? I saw you dump the clutch on takeoff, but then you just shifted without pushing clutch? How did you do that?
Anyone have an idea of what transmission he was running?
what kinda transmission that thing got?
@dragster2085 he has line lock, look at his thumb on the shifter when he is doing the burnout, that button puts the front brakes on so he can do a burnout without going anywhere.
Passenger looked like he was trying not to shit his pants lmao
I know im just saying there is a nitrous switch on most control panels even if you dont run it. Our nova has a nitrous switch but we dont spray. I was just explaining what the switches were.
What kind of transmission in that car?
@brandon6pk is it the red button on the top of the shifter
Those are some manly gear changes
Does anyone know what kind of transmission this car has? Looks like some type of clutch-less gearbox like a liberty perhaps? Definitely not a Lenco, there's only one shifter stick.
There toggles for fans nitrous oxide for starting the car(power) and a few more thing
It's a drug....do it once and you're hooked ...!
LOL !!!!!!!!! passenger looked scared shitless on the launch and the 1-2 shift :)
In his defense, he had NO head rest at all, the same pass with high back racing seats would of been MUCH more enjoyable
Dying to know what transmission that is
The dry hop part lol
More skilled and experienced then myself but I'm kind of surprised he grinds hard going into reverse and doesn't let the trans spin down for a second or three and then he clunks going into first while still rolling. After coming out of reverse it should go into first like butter even without making a complete stop.
Hey, he did not press the clutch ?
Jack the playback speed up to 1.25 and listen to it then, it's even better!
what r those buttons
for? u know the 1s ur
pushing
is that Bob Saget driving? lol
The dry hop @ 0:54 got the passengers attention!
You snapped that dudes neck!
i like to know what trans your runing...? G/Force...?
LoL i dnt get bored of watching the way his head goes xD its hilarious i love this video just cuz of tht
this crap always make me laugh lol
LOL The passenger was trying hard not to show his fear at about 1:21!
What kind of trans?
Great
G Force trans?
The passenger was like ..."Dam i shouldn't have tagged along"
0:53 is fucking priceless.
Passenger at 54 seconds was starting to question this ride along. Haha!
hes changing gears without the clutch! damn thats hardcore
Planetary manual 4-speed trans?
@WickedTornado I always heard about the story going like this, My cars so fast Im gonna put a 100 on the dash and when I punch it if you can grab it you can have it. It always sounded kind of stupid to me cuz in my car you can put anything on the dash and its gonna end up in your lap.
Almost broke his neck at :53 sec and his facial expression at 1:19, lol!!
Yes, he's looking for anythin to hold his head in place when the driver did that dry hop!
The seat belts are not installed properly. As they are they could compress the spine in the event of a collision.
Badass
now i have a quick question how in the holy hell does a person do a burnout like that without holding the clutch like that isn't that damaging the transmission when they do that
WHIPLASSSSSH !!!!!
Slamming those gears
@chevydragboy I could’nt be more happier for you.
man that dude almost few out the back window. The passenger seat will make you piss on your self.lol
the good old days
He really got thrown back, must of spooked him a little
whoever had to clean the passengers seat disliked the race.
As u can see from the passenger almost coming through the roll cage... That car hooks :)
:] pretty much .. bloody good
0:53 never gets old.
why does he shut the car off after quarter then start it back up after he slows down?
Back in the day alot of those high winding smallblocks, had low oil pressure at end of track,u shut it down so oil can go back to pan
Damn those things dont play!
Yeah, he's pumped up! haha
My brother in law has a Road Runner with a Hemi. I asked him once if a small block ever beat him or gave him a good run. He said the sad thing is if this Hemi isn't perfectly tuned a shabby small block with put me to shame.
BUT god that car is a bad ass it's hard to believe that is a near stock 327. It runs like 11.50
God I love jamming gears
passangers face was funny wen they took off think he bout shit him self and got some whoop lash

hahahaahahmuahahahaah that made my day ..... thx for sharing ,-)
Still laughing that was classic!!!
He tried to look cool as his neck snapped and crapping self at same time haha lol
They must have used a rocking chair for the passenger seat........
That guy looked like he was scared to death.....
He's not using the clutch to shift, he's probably running a Jerico or Gforce clutchless or clutch-assisted 4spd...they're built to operate that way
I think the passenger was a bit nervous. Haha
Even though the car's so loud we can't hear the gear whine, I'll guess it's a tweeked OEM Muncie.
Super Mario Bros. Just got wiplashed...
i clicked that and lmfao so hard
