So compared to earlier dynasties, this hairstyle was one of the easier and comfortable ones.

I love the little detail of Suoxin not using Jia's official title when referring to her. She uses Jia's common name.
I noticed that too. Suoxin lost all the respect she's had of that woman.
It's her tiny bit of revenge. Not much, but better than none, I always say.
Because I do not understand Chinese, I missed that subtle diss.
