Is this the same shop Mike Finnegan worked on a Cummins swapped station wagon at? That airport is the George Bush airport in Humble Texas BTW. I live 30 minutes from there and South of the Lufkin Nacogdoches area.
Any updates on Godzilla swapping Snickers? If I did a Godzilla swap in my 75 F250 Highboy could I keep my divorced transfer case and keep it manual shift?
@@FordEra I briefly said hi to you at Nashville super speedway, hrpt2022, I wish I would have had more time…. I’m definitely going to follow this build
Glad you cleaned it. Turned out nice with the buffer fire wall. I should have done that in my wife’s truck while it was apart. Keep up the good content.
This became my favorite 78/79 on the internet with that engine swap. Don't chunk the tired old M, it can be made into a great motor with a t Meyer 434 stroker kit and some choice Cleveland parts tossed on her. 😀
Its just outdated technology. Im a fan of the modern motors. they get better milage, they have more power for less moeny and hassle. best of all they have a warranty
@@FordEra No it isn't outdated technology, did you read what I wrote. Were you high writing this? The price on the cheapest godzilla motor is over 9,000$, a supercharged 7.3 1000 hp crate motor is 38,870.00$, which is insanely more $$$ than doing to the truck, which I would do, the right white way. In 1982 I completely computerized the 6.4 litre 390 FE motor on my 1974 Ford F-250, which was modified to begin with. I put a Mallory unilite distributer in and a MSD-6 computer brain, and it was a good move, and I was the 1st person I know to do it. And patina is rust, and trucks don't have goofy names.
Excellent job everyone ,What a Great bunch of friends you have . My dream is to put a Godzilla in my 2014 E350 4x4 van. My Wheelchair wold have the quickest chair van around
Is delfab the guy from Snohomish? If so, my dad and I were at good guys car show in Puyallup and spoke to his mom. That 76 quad cab was mint!! And his mom was super nice to talk to!!!
Good job Kyle, let's keep everyone away from Washington State. I may have only resided on the West Coast (Arizona, Nevada and East & West Washington), but I am proud to call the Olympic Peninsula my "FOREVER HOME"... On average I experience about 2 weeks (per year) of Snow/Ice, maybe 3 weeks of A/C required and since I have an extra 2-car Shop/Garage the gloom and rain don't bother me one bit!
Hey Soloman. Have they done these swaps before? I would have the crank in the block and the damper/pulley on to make sure there is clearance for that crossmember. Does your new a/c compressor bolt up with the rest of the front dress or do you fab up the brackets? He said he's making a trans mount without the engine bolted in? Just sayin'.
@@FordEra cool it's looking great anyway, just curious, would have been a real bummer if it was, hope everything turned out ok with that glad it didn't get any worse, I know how it feels, mine was my own fault, played with the carby and the hose was broken, tried starting it backfired, the rest is history, luckily the tree I was under didn't catch light that's partly why it got out of hand I was moving the car back out from under the tree, but anyway great videos, all the best to yous and your loved ones

Glad you like it
@@FordEra 👍
snickers is looking good brother. -mike.
Thank you
I'm from Washington but the dessert side lol way better until its 120 out but no rust on old cars from the east side
Super clean is the best, I buy it by the gallon at Walmart, get that and a garden pump sprayer, saves a ton of time and money, and it won’t your hand
Look at Indy Power Products
I'm going to give you props on your organizing skills. getting that many people organized is not easy, especially highly skilled people.
Thanks
I need to find somewhere in Montana to get a 7.3 swap into my 1973 hiboy f250. That would be amazing.
This is going to be a badass old Ford!
You know it
It’s a very nice truck. That new motor is. Epic to
Thank you, I’m super excited
Check out the restomod heat wrap membrane for the fire wall and floor of the cab . Two different thickness but it will be worth it
Loving this, I'm also doing a Godzilla swap, but into my bagged bumpside. I've got the build on my channel

so freaking cool !!!
Such a cool build!
That motor looks great.
Strong team effort so far.
Facts
Diamond plate bed rail caps would look good and period correct.
I actually have the OG ones but i forgot to install them before leaving
Outstanding AF!!
This is going to be such an awesome truck, I mean it was already pretty sweet
Should be a fun build... I look forward to the rest of the series.
Such a cool build!!.. a killer motor for a killer truck!
It really is Bud!!
The oil protected the truck from rusting. lol 😂
I can’t wait to hear her roar to life. You have good taste Solomon
That makes 2 of us
Love it man!!! This thing is amazing! Keep up tha awesome work!!!
Doing one in Ford F250, 4x4 diesel, 1990 so I will be watching running a 4050 Tremec
Cool swap idea. What are you doing for a trans and drivetrain?
Any updates on Godzilla swapping Snickers? If I did a Godzilla swap in my 75 F250 Highboy could I keep my divorced transfer case and keep it manual shift?
update coming soon
Luck goo
That truck is going to be killer
Will Mast Motorsports be selling Godzilla swap motor mounts for the 73-79's?
Needs to make them for 2wds too as well as mounts for 80-96 trucks
Yes very soon
All trucks will be coming
Very cool 😎
Looking forward to Snickers meeting Godzilla!!!!!!!
It’s going to be a match made in heaven
@@FordEra BINGO!!!!!! Very Cool!
Show motor rebuild all the way videos
This is pretty awesome! I want a Godzilla real bad, what transmission are u putting in?
thank you, in the beginning a 4l80 but eventually the 10r140 10 speed
@@FordEra I briefly said hi to you at Nashville super speedway, hrpt2022, I wish I would have had more time…. I’m definitely going to follow this build
What transmission/transfer case does Snickers have behind the Godzilla?
it has a built 4l80 and married np205
Looking good guy’s!
Awesome!!! I can’t wait to see it when it’s done and see how it compares size wise to the original motor.
What a beautiful truck. None of our trucks in Iowa look that good.
Glad you cleaned it. Turned out nice with the buffer fire wall. I should have done that in my wife’s truck while it was apart. Keep up the good content.
Thanks man, figured if we didn’t do it now it wouldn’t get done
Hell yea totally what I wanted to do to my 78 ford. This will be my homework to do mine keep up the great work 💪
Will do
Gonna be sweet! Better bring it to New Smyrna to show me! 😜
This is going to be CRAZY 🤪 I'm a bit jealous 😅 I love this truck the color and now it's going to have a bad boy motor 👍👍👍👍
I like crazy

Was there something wrong with the motor and drivetrain that was in it? Everything could have been upgraded and rebuilt better than factory new.

What trans are you going to use? I'm sure your going with the atlas transfer case to right?

15 minutes at the car wash would of made this faster.
most car washes dont want you to degrease anything there so we didnt want to get anyone mad. it made a huge mess
