Whilst I stand with the players and think NRL /w Peter V'landys are just trying bully them, I have no idea how NRL players trust the guidance and decision making of Clint Newton who thought it would be a good idea to dump his ex girlfriend, that went onto be a future miss universe.

Nobody here has a clue about what's actually going on. The RLPA will never agree with the NRL. If people understood the type of person Clint Newton is and how he operates, they would understand better. The RLPA keep moving the goal posts. This deal is an unbelievable deal with funds allocated for player welfare and injury funds. The RLPA keep saying they want one thing and then it's resolved and they decide on another. Now they want test matches paid from a separate fund and I guarantee they'll change on something else again. Newton enjoys watching the game run itself into the ground. People should read some of the new benefits that come with the agreement. It's above and beyond and adds up to over a billion dollars. I don't understand what's going through supporters of the RLPA's minds. It's as though they haven't read the NRL's outline. When asked about the coaches ‘that’s not my job’ this has been going on for 20 months and he could barely given answer. Seems like a bloke who focuses entirely on his job description and doesn’t really take into consideration other factors and other points of views.
‘Can you provide more examples’ then he proceeds to mention something he’s already mentioned.
Then in the space of 1 sentence, Tom burgess sheds more highlight and gives fans a better understanding of some of things going than Clint has does in the entire 20 months.

I witnessed Newton walk out of Newcastle and still has a chip on his shoulder about it
