Beautifully shot, as always! We adored this loop - interesting to see the small site at the one end of Grace. We stayed at the other end of the lake and loved it, but that site looks so cozy. The site you had for night 2 wasn't our site on Nellie, but we made friends with the fellow who was staying there and got to see it and used it as a starting point of a rock hop to the lookout atop Nellie. Well narrated and gorgeous filming, Trevor!

Hey Jay and Sheri. Thank you for watching and for your kind words. In hindsight, I should have planned for two nights on Grace. So much to see there! Interesting that you also visited the site that I stayed at on Nellie. It is a great little site for one or two tents. Fantastic that you guys also hiked to a lookout. Everywhere you look up there ... postcard views! Looking forward to watching your next adventure. Cheers! T.

Terrific few days on the lakes! Good going! You captured some very nice footage and I enjoyed the whole trip very much. Glad you didn't wipe out on the pine needles. That could have been disastrous. Nice that the otters came out to say hi. I've hiked for a few years along trails at Charlton and Frood Lakes. Beautiful country for sure!

Thank you Lynda. Glad that you enjoyed! I just wish that I had planned for some more time on Grace Lake so that I could hike up those bluffs! You are lucky to have explored trails along those two lakes. I will definitely have to return there again! Thank you for watching and commenting! Trevor.

Amazing footage. Looked like a relaxing trip, minus the portages. Lol

This one hit home - thanks for sharing your trip and your deep thoughts. Getting old is not fun… that said get out there and do things as much as possible while you can 💪🏽❤️

Thanks Curtis. Yup... time is short and getting shorter. So true... we have to get out and do things today and not tomorrow. I always appreciate your comments. Hope you get one more trip in before its over. I'm trying for just oneee more (although it did snow in AP yesterday... :o ). Cheers!

This trip is on my list, beauty route! Definitely have to bang off the bucket list trips while we can. I’m 69 and did a 21 night 140km trip in Woodland Caribou in August. Wabakimi is August 2025. Have done 3 Quetico trips but really need to get back there and get deeper into the park, hopefully 2026.

Good to hear! It is a special loop for sure. 21 days in Woodland Caribou? Wow... that is quite the stretch! Amazing! I have yet to get there... Sounds like you have some big plans for the future too. Keep at it! Thank you for watching and commenting!

Good for you for banging that one out before it’s too late. I’ve done Grace …Nellie but like 20 years ago! I could not do that trip today after the old knee surgery. I’m still out there … just keeping those portages to reasonable lengths.
Too bad about the weather… but I gotta say you do have a good attitude about it.
Re : that little solo stove. I had the same one, but found it a little too finicky to constantly feed.
I ended up getting a small box one in titanium with a larger mouth at the base …that way you could angle in larger pieces that can just rest on the lip thereby reducing the feeding cycle.
    Game changer for me.
    Cheers

Thanks! Great that you also experienced this route. I hope that you made it further down Nellie than I did. Happy to hear that you are still doing trips that are more joint friendly. The weather is the weather - I am just glad that it was not too cold. It could have been a lot more unpleasant than it was. Regarding the tiny solo stove - I agree with you. I have a slightly larger version that actually burns really well... but, well... it is larger and I was trying to go light and small. I am familiar with the stove type that you have... might be time to pull the trigger on (yet another!) stick stove. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers!

So glad you made it up this way! What a stunning landscape, and Grace Lake is second to none. Again, your camera work and editing puts you in a whole new league. I can appreciate the effort you put into making these. Great job and come back to northern Ontario real soon! 👌👍

So true! I was completely unprepared for the beauty of Grace lake. An unreal place to be sure. I am glad that you enjoyed this one Daryl! As always, I appreciate your comments and your support. I will be back up your way soon enough! Standing by for your next one... Cheers, T.

We loved our trip to Grace and Nellie but we left from Bearskin Lodge and Outfitters near Wiliisville. It is closer to Grace than Widgawa Lodge. The new owners of Bearskin Lodge are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable about Killarney and area. Highly recommend checking them out. Anybody reading this comment- if you have not been to Nellie Lake it is worth the portages. It blew our minds. Great video. Thanks for sharing 🛶🏕️

That's great! I am not familiar with that launch point - but glad that it worked out for you. Agreed... the trip is 100% worth the portages. IMO, the portages were lovely in themselves. Thanks for watching and commenting!
