you know the sad part.. lets say they drop 30k off the price for that.. the buyer wont spend that 30k to fix anythin. since that is coming off the sales price which is part of the loan, its money the buyer doesnt have nor has a way of utilizing. so this graveyard of a crawlspace will remain as is. seller will just take a hit. thats why its generally worth it to fix stuff before sale as much as you could
It's been my experience that people who smoke, especially a lot, are very selfish people who have no respect for others or for property. It's all about them and their pleasures while they dump their car ash trays at stop light intersections or parking lots, toss their butts everywhere, never clean their house, don't take care of anything. So this crawlspace is to be expected.
@@johnsmith6368 I appreciate that you don't smoke; obviously I don't either. My experience in life has shown me who most smokers are. They establish how the rest of society views them so that the smokers who are not like that still get that view. If a smoker does not want to be viewed that way, then they should simply quit smoking. Yes, the addition is strong. Can they be stronger than nicotine in order to shed the way society views them?
I owned a house with a dirt floor crawlspace. Never again. I was endlessly trying to dry it out, I put in a curtain drain to a sump pump, and all spring, summer and fall, it would empty a 20 gallon basin about every 2 to 3 hours. Any time the electricity would go out for a few hours, I'd have water overflowing the basin and saturating the dirt floor. Did I say never again? If not... I'll say it again... NEVER AGAIN!!!
@JustSomeJoe-dp5rp dang. I'm so sorry. We've talked on this channel about different ideas. Some say concrete slab in the crawlspace exactly the same setup you had. The main problem would be power. I guess you can put a backup power supply of some sort. Still a pain in the arse. I'm with you on the "never again." Thanks for watching
Loving these videos as it letting me know what kind of things I need to ask about if looking at a home with a crawl space. That’s for giving an estimate.
Total wreck. Complete Crawl Space Retro. General budget would be around $40,000. But it is probably higher with all of the structural damage. You have to clean the mold first in order to fully inspect the wood. I'd ask for $60,000 budget for the crawl.

@shanalouise thanks you for watching.
If the cigarette smell is that bad in crawl space, it has to be much worse in the house.
@@munsters2 terrible
Drop it’s down to a cash offer of 200k easily with that mess
Disaster.
