    That was really useful thanks! It would be great if you could do similar focussed histories for Paeds, MSK, resp and GI too.

    Just a useful tip for anyone who is sitting for their osce's from someone who has done it recently and was caught out on this one thing :(
    BE MINDFUL OF UR VERBAL TICS. avoid saying things like "brilliant", "amazing", "that's great" after a patient has just told you they are "hot and clammy"😭it really isnt great for the patient tho

    Wonderful, thank you! Is there a list/video of common cardiac symptoms with accompanying focus questions? That may prove beneficial, for me anyways.
    Again, thank you for all of your help and time.

    I am coming close to picking my GCSE's for school. I want to become a doctor and I am slightly confused on what to do. At the moment I have decided to do Spanish, Drama and Religious Studies. However; I am slightly confused whether I should choose history or geography instead of RS. What do you think will be the most useful for becoming a doctor in the future, RS, Geography or History? Did you have to do some of the subjects because they were compulsory. If they were compulsory, what were they? Amazing video!!!

      None. Doesn't matter what you pick, has no bearing on anything, just get your minimum 5-9 A-A*'s (depending on what university you'd like to apply to in the future and whether they consider your GCSEs in the application process).

    • @786shah
      @786shah 3 роки тому

      If you've decided on RS because you like it more than Geography/History than stick with RS. There aren't any compulsory subjects at GCSE for medicine besides the ones you will already be doing anyway such as Science, Maths and English. Main thing at your stage is to do well in them so pick the subjects you enjoy and think you'll do well in. Plus any of those subjects will give you skills and knowledge relevant to Medicine for example learning about different religions will give you a better understanding of them so later when it comes to applying for medical school, you can link it to medicine either in your application or interview by talking about how the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses impact on blood transfusions.
