@@jadezee6316it does give him an advantage tho. Maybe won't make his opponent underestimate him, but rather, make them feel the pressure of having to win because GMs can't lose to FM. Like a psychological trick
I'm getting some conflicting information. One source says, "to become GrandMaster attaining the title of International Master (IM) is essential." And then "Elo chess rating of at least 2500 at one time and three favorable results (called norms) in tournaments involving other Grandmasters, including some from countries other than the applicant's." So if someone can clarify, I would like to know...
It is possible to become a Grandmaster without ever having been an International Master. Larry Christiansen of the United States (1977), Wang Hao of China, Anish Giri of the Netherlands, Olga Girya of Russia (2021) and former world champions Mikhail Tal of the Soviet Union and Vladimir Kramnik of Russia all became Grandmasters without ever having been IMs. Bobby Fischer of the United States attained both titles solely by virtue of qualifying for the 1958 Interzonal (IM title) and 1959 Candidates Tournament (GM title), only incidentally becoming IM before GM. The more usual path is first to become an IM, then move on to the GM level.
You need 3 tournaments and rating, the title below is not required. You can also gain GM title if requirements are not met. World chess senior champion and candidate winner/champion challenger (maybe something more) are achievments that grant you GM title.
Dear Agadmator The standing you put for sharja master was wrong The winner was Bardiya from Iran There is another mistake too in 13 the place. I hope you will mention that later thanks
#suggestion one of the games of Yağız Kağan Erdoğmuş who has recently broken the record of Judith Polgar. He set the new highest rating ever reached (2570 ELO) before the age of 13.
That's wild. A 14 yo making a 2700 rated player shuffle pieces around because his only strategy at that point is waiting to see what his opponent will do to him next.
Its not the problem with, but if you playing TAL, it can be, bishop are strong, but saving it could lose your game, I'm a novice, but i love my knights, & pusn😮

If vladimir had 3 minutes on clock while iwan had 1 minute, why the hell not exploit your time advantage playing out your opponent by time? Iwan still had to checkmate and theres the propability he would not in time...😮
… because Ivan was completely winning with a clear plan. He could win the game with 20 seconds. He’d probably make at least 30 moves under 1 minute and there is probably increment anyway
Ya it was totally logicless. Moving your major pieces to the a file, and then blocking it. Also he never brought his b7 bishop back to g2. Could have avoided so many mating threats. May be it was a matter of ego. Fedoseev didn't like to admit that yes bishop to b7 was a faulty move.

Where’s the joke about Kramnik and his process? This kid is good. Just joking on Kramnik. Not at all saying the kid cheats. Innocent until proven guilty right?
Complicated game nice attacking moves from Ivan incredible at his young age he’s able to think these complex moves through thanks for the game Enjoy your day 😊♟️
if anything his title is an advantage at this point. His opponents will underestimate his abilities. Great talent.
no they wont....only weak players do that

Kids in Chess : "Bud don't even know how to lose"
Agadmator is the greatest!!!
A FIDE commentary rating of 3800+
Ivan showed incredible patience in this win, very nice.
Apparently the defeat was so crushing that at the end of the game, Fedoseev changed his first name to Ivan.
he is 13 yo and he became GM 2 days ago
I mean he is 2500+ basically GM level
Even with a rating of 2500 norms are still difficult to get.
But he's definitely strong, no argument about that
Oh ye not saying norms are the easiest, but just from looking at his performance this tounament it should be a piece of cake for him to get them
@@AyoolaLadapo-hg7vshe’ll be a GM before Gotham
He Is a GM as of 21.05.24, at least according to wiki page.
Exactly. He just hasn't had the opportunity to play in enough rated tournaments needed to fulfil the other norms.

Anish giri went to be GM from FM

Fantastic chess game. Thank you for sharing ☺️
« Really suspicious, let’s go the procedure » 😂
A lovely bedtime story where you choose the ending. Thanks Agad!
Thanks for the nice game and analysis as well ❤.
Thanks 🙏
Kramnik’s radar is up!
I think he already blocked him
I’ve met a gm that’s that high rated
Fm
A CM scored 3rd in TT over big names… that’s kramnik’s target now
Let's do the procedure.
Do you have a video explaining the chess titles, how you get them and in what order?
#Suggestion Mikhail Botvinnik vs Mikhail Tal | World Championship Rematch, 1961 (How would have it ended if Botvinnik didn't resign)
I miss the handshake/photo commentary.
He still does it for some games. Mainly the more prestigious or historical games.
I agree

the kid is good. I don't who trained him or how, but he can "see the whole board".
Thanks for the camera fix!
He can be the first world champion in modern times with the title of Grandmaster. He does not have to strive for or accept the Grandmaster title.
why is it that everytime we see fedoseev, he's conceding a masterpiece?

Will probably get his IM and GM title pretty soon. A great game.
Finally i see a grandmaster playing my moves. Knight to a6 to capture the pawn on c5 🤐🤐🤐

Ivan has the maturity of players twice his age.
Correct pronunciation of the name "IvAn" - stress falls on the second syllable
like "i-vhA-n"
thought this was going to be a faustino video by the title

I do watch as many as possible

You should do a video on a 17-year-old from Iran with a rating of 2585 who won the tournament and tied for 1st. Seriously

Good lord, 14 years old!
wow brilliant
He never gave him a breathing room.
What about queen to F1?
First time I found the correct move!
vladimir lost the game the moment he pushed the pawn to A6

Of course.. GM s are also playing vhess😂
So at what point was the game lost for Vladimir?
Pawn to c3 than to c2 was on way to promotion Vladimir could not stop the pawn from promoting to Queen
write pls under the title what year and what tournament...
Kramnik tweeted "Interesting".
another vibrating, sorry, vibrant talent as Niemann

VLADIMIR FE-DO SE-YEV...

He is the son of Ivan lendl. Ivan the terrible
Ready for Titled Tuesday
