- Jen Kingwell's quilts are distinctive, in part because of the glorious mix of color and pattern in the fabrics she uses. In this video, Jen shares ideas and a bit of her thinking process for how she pulls fabrics for her quilts.

Fascinating...after listening to your explanation of how to introduce the Second Tier by using your first choice of colors in the First Tier...that gave me confidences, I now can walk in a fabric store and walk out with a bundle of beautiful fabric to start quilting one of your patterns from Quilt Recipes..thank you for all you do:)

I can always tell when a JK quilt pops up in my feed on Facebook. I wonder how those large fabric prints work out with smaller pieced blocks.
I was hoping you''d add something with black. Sometimes there's only a tiny amount of black in the inspiration fabric outlining motifs. You barely notice it. Yet adding some black in your coordinating mix can snap it up! I credit this tip to Jinny Beyer.
