Brilliant Olly. I've been looking for a good C blues jam to practice and learn from. After exhaustive searches, I finally found yours. Man you have a great feel...so laid back and smooth. Keep up the great playing!
Thanks so much for this. Real talent and great ears are apparent here. Cant be done much better, maybe different, but not better. This video is now big in my practice sessions! Keep posting please!
Well hellooooo, Great talent and great melody and just my style, which makes me happy... for you and me both. Best wishes Olly, im certainly subbing here. As soon as I saw your left hand one note bass I was hooked, lol. Been trying to master that but ended up lying inside the piano stool crying. 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful. How do you know the timing will come out right on the longer right hand runs? I figure it has something to do with bebop scales and landing target notes on target beats - but if you could elaborate, I’d really appreciate it - thanks!
Hi Olly, fantastic performance my friend!..., are you using the Roland FP90 internal sound and speakers?, what patch it is?..., i'm looking the best key action a finger to sound connection, in a portable slab. Are you tried Kawai ES8/MP7 and Yamaha CP4/88 or P515?... Which is your favorite choice?... Thanks!...
Hi there, thank you! I'm actually using a Native Instruments VST (The Grandeur) on this one. I have used Yamahas in the past and they're very good, more on the bright sound but very good key action. Kawais I gave up with unfortunately due to scraping/noisy keys(had to return two Es8s!). The Roland is to me the most natural key action and has great sound too, but always best to play them yourself if you can!
Hi Olly, thanks for answer!..., and please tell me, is a really improvement the PHA-50 over PHA-4/3 in RD800/700NX/V-Piano?, people says than they prefer the old key action, cause this new is a bit spongy, is really true than this key action key stop feels like a rubber?, other people says than this key action is very heavy and sluggish, other says the opposite, what about the key pivot point?, is easy to play near to the fulcrum?, is noisy this key action for nocturn practice?, is reliable?, cause many people have serious complaints about this key action., are you tried RD-2000?, people says than this feels better even having the same PHA-50?, are you tried Yamaha CP4?, wooden keys too, how did compare both key actions?... I really appreciate your help!...
Great stuff. Have you got a midi or the like for it that you could sell? I've never made much headway on this style but I'd love to crib some of what you're doing. Tried to slow down the keyboard on the video but couldn't get much more than the baseline off of it. Great stuff either way!
Smooth 😋
Thanks Davide 🙂
mellow, funky, easy vibe. Always a pleasure to hear you play Olly.
Thanks mate!
