I think this is the sin most of us, reformed, fall into: thinking our way into a relationship with God. Don't get me wrong: there's a lot of thinking involved in it, but we should not remove the importance of feelings and experience. God made us in a way we should use all that to his glory.
I think I know what you mean. I think we need to trust, and rejoice. Jesus overcame the world and is greater than our sin. We have a reason to rejoice. We need to trust, believe, and rejoice, because the Lord is good!
