I had the same problem (went to a waterpark, never submerged the iphone in water) but it went away after 1 day, phones still ok after 1 week. Should I be concerned if the chips inside would be corroded over time?

So for anyone wondering I had a similar situation. I was fine. My camera was a little blurry and the was battery was gone. It was fine. Same time next year however it went into this recovery mode 💯.
