As a Wings fan I’d absolutely love the thought of Necas. He’s the type of guy Yzerman likes, and knowing Steve’s history, I think we could get him a lot cheaper than most people think. That said I would still be willing to give up a top prospect for Necas and what he would bring to Detroit
Why would the Canes give up Necas to the Red Wings for cheap and not try and get the most they can?
I hope we keep Laine for one last try new people in Columbus so why not
Mitch Marner is remaining in Toronto indefinitely, Martin Necas would ne nice. But we're not giving up the assets that Eric Tulsky will want. And zero interest in Patrik laine.
They dont really need new forwards, other than moving berggren up full time. They really should focus more on defense and goaltending, because scoring was not the problem this season
agree they should focus on those things but you cannot say we are set on scoring and offense in general. We need one more player to make a true top 6 and 2 more if Kane leaves. Plus our scoring was seriously inflated by high shooting percentages by mostly depth players. Not a model that will be easily replicated, especially if many/several of those players may leave in Free Agency
I think we only need Matt Roy.
I don’t see the wings doing much on off-season I would love to see Rasmussen traded and a couple others go. Get Raymond and Seider signed and hopefully Kane. Also get the goalie and defense issues resolved asap or here comes more of the same or worse. Bring up Simon E and Bergeron and give Joe V one more chance to many no show games for him after a decent start to last season. Lalonde the coach also needs to be better to preach and practice better defensive zone and man to man coverage around the goalie period. Get the puck out of the zone quicker be more puck hungry at times last year we were really bad defensively in own zone.
Sign Jeff Petry 12m x 8 years
With full NTC.
hang his jersey in the rafters now, and for sure 12m for 8 years
also give him the C for his sweater.
@@nickvee9152 give him the C and both A's
it will end up being trouba lol
let yzerclown cook lol
Thats not an argument
@@jonathanlong4066 lol
@@nadaduo1765 Thought so, nothing of value from you once again. Gotta love it
@@jonathanlong4066 hilarious coming from you, all you say is "that's not an argument" lol
@@nadaduo1765 That's a sad attempt at a deflection. Come back when you have an argument son.
BTW still nothing of value from you. Sad.
Necas maybe depends on the asking price... However Laine and Marner are a hell no, they're not the type of players Yzerman wants when it comes to building a team.
if the cos tis right, take any of them, especially marner.... guy struggles in the playoffs.... how about him getting us there..... if the price is right you take him in a heartbeat, laine is probably the highest risk, but he isnt that far off from pretty good number if you can get him cheap enough, worth the risk
@@kicken55 Laine for 15th overall draft pick this year? Yes or no? He’s already shown he could do it at NHL level and has about the same if not more potential than anyone you could take at 15. Id probably do it
@@vivid_prizm maybe ask them to retain 15-20% then instant yes
