The Reivers being officially included was enough for me to be excited, but sfter seeing the rules I'm SUPER excited. Bought a bunch of white scars bits to customize my team. Can't wait to get to work on my box once it finally arrives 😊
Big fan of this team. I like how completely different it is to legionaries, considering ill he playing both teams. Where as legionaries is basically all about killing this team is all sneaky tricks. I'm thinking infiltrator Sergeant, commsman, Marksman, saboteur, medic and reiver as my initial team
My brother plays Khorne Bound Legionaries and he whupped my butt yesterday (I played Phobos Infiltrators for the 2nd time) he took down my medic immediately (2nd turning point) then worked his way through my Veteran and Melted my Comms Specialist with a Melta (btw Meltas are beyond OP but I understand why haha). Anyway this team was still fun as heck to play. (I could blame the dice but I panicked after my medic was incapacitated 😂)
Definitely start slow and make use of your Guerrilla Tactics and Omni-Scramblers (problem was I started slow against fast moving Chainsword welding psychos haha)
I wanted the box for the traitor guard models n terrain.. But veto excited to hear that phobos might actually play.. And super super flexible is always good. Theres so much they can do.. Phobos vs CSM should be lots of fun.. Unexpected win here
I'm not sure that Comms can give Marksman the third shot. Track Target is treated as a Shoot action for all restrictions, so I imagine the Comms' restriction of "not performed this action before" will work too.
Hey there, just wanted to mention that when you were talking about Elite Reconnaissance, you seemed to be referring to the second option as if it replaces your initial Scouting option, when it is actually an ADDITIONAL Scouting option according to the rules--may seem like a small detail but it makes a big difference in how one evaluates the Ploy. As it is written, you essentially get two Scouting options with this Ploy, rather than one being replaced by the next, and your first Turning Point initiative is determined by the first Scouting option you selected. EDIT: This actually makes for a great Strategic Ploy, since you can use it to counter-pick what you expect your opponent's Scouting option will be, securing yourself the Initiative before selecting the Scouting option that is most beneficial to your team to enact alongside the first.
wait, can you (with marksman) shoot, shoot, guerilla warfare and comms to track target afterwards? the text says: This action is treated as a Shoot action with a bolt weapon for the purposes of action restrictions, although this operative can perform this action if it has a Conceal order. you can only shoot once (unless bolter discipline)
You can drop a smoke grenade on your Marksman and with his multispectrum array and the Commsman he can make 3 shots out and be obscured and take no shots back. The area denial and objective plays could be really good along with Guerrilla Tactics. Seems like a high skill team?
Are you sure that in case of incursor minelayer mine the enemy operative will get stun effect in his next activation? the rules for apl modifiers says that the effect lasts until the end current or next activation, whichever comes first and in this case current activation comes first
Wow, what a great Alpha Legion rule set. Hydra Dominatus I, I erm... Nothing to see here. Why does everyone get better ways of representing Alpha Legion on the table than AL? 2:02 Was that a parrot impression?! :P
@@CanYouRollaCrit Aaah, Skeletor 💀😜 Very true; I have played Alpha Legion for over 10 years now. Using CSM(when they arrived), Blood Angels, Raven guard, Raptor’s, all manner of rules in 40K. @@CanYouRollaCrit honestly, you're a game changer with the insights you gave in your "how i won warhammer' video. do more of those please, you are the correct level of test/evolve and technique improvement
@@CanYouRollaCrit HYPED. your focus on tacops is game changing for anyone trying to win KT. Yeah, marksman has lethal 5+, AP1 and hits on 2+, with the ability to shoot twice. You've got a very decent chance of putting out 14 damage per shot at AP1. Not many people are walking away from that, although you e not got the ability to 1-shot a marine the way a Tau marksman or Corsair blaster can.
Absolutely love that this is mixed team of all the Phobos types. It's just so much less boring just from that.
Yup, surpised and happy Reivers got added to them as well!

Ooooh nice, that all sounds amazing!

Yeah exactly. Really thematic but gotta play carefully

Thanks for the video! You always break it down for me in simple terms!
Ah no worries, it's always my goal aha
Pretty hyped! I love Phobos, and this has the sort of fun, distinctive mechanics I was hoping they'd have come up with.
Oh nice, yeah I was surprised by all the tools they have

Yeah, currently track target is a shooting attack
Agreed. You're getting one shot in activation and one after while Bolter Discipline is active.

Great minds 😏
As always, great review!

You can't use the comms to make 3 shots with the same model
Are you sure that in case of incursor minelayer mine the enemy operative will get stun effect in his next activation? the rules for apl modifiers says that the effect lasts until the end current or next activation, whichever comes first and in this case current activation comes first
Ah it'll just reduce their APL value for that activation meaning they'll be harder to contest points you're on/contesting
Anyone gonna use an eliminator as marksman?
I know some people already have/plan to
what about eliminators? can they be in a kill team?
Not yet currently
Do I understand good, I can use Omni scrabler only if I didnt use any strategic ploys during strategy phase?
Nah it is always active for free every strategy phase (:
You are correct, it says you may use the omniscrambler instead of picking a ploy or passing
Hyped!👊🏻
Spec op marinesss
@@CanYouRollaCrit This team represents the essence of Kill Team. I can't wait to try out combinations. excellent review
Didn't they put rules on 40k for vanguard marines?
In their codex I guess?
I don't understand why the Comms guy needs to see the other operative... even scions can use the signal ability witthout seeing the other operative.
Probably a balance reason I guess?
poor quality chinese walkie talkie i suppose
