    " Horrendous kick of time " Well just book the month off and fly over to us for the tournemant! In all seriousness, well done dedicating your late night and early mornings to cover the games, was impressive during the WC and impressive once again for another 6 Nations. As for the Scotland/Italy game, I just hope we play some clean rugby, if we get out classed, fine, Italy and any other teams deserve it, I just don't want 10 plus pens in a half, and to give up our energy part way through the tournemant. Really happy to see so me 'rogue' picks and praying for a miracle Sione recovery. (Or just get Matthews on, on the wing of course.) Hope you enjoy all the games.

    This should be good because Italy are progressing well but Scotland have their strongest squad since 1999 when they last won the tournament. Plus seeing Capuazzo vs Kinghorn will be interesting seeing the two Toulouse teammates go at it.

    • @c0222
      @c0222 7 днів тому

      Interesting you think this is our strongest squad given we're missing our best hooker (idc what Gregor thinks), second row, centre and captain, as well as Kyle Steyn who I'd personally pick over DVDM.

    As a Scotland fan, more scared of this game than the Wales game. A couple of injuries and we’re in serious trouble. Felt like we could take on the world with Sione, but still feeling very deflated by his injury. Should be a very close game

    Game at a time. Italy are a serious team.
    Russell, Kinghorn, the Fagersons and some others are on electric form, so cautiously optimistic

    Fully agree re Tuipuloto, a big miss but plenty of backup to fill the gap. There are two bigger misses in my view, Cummings in the second row ( the guy gets through a ton of work, runs great lines, and has developed a bit of an edge to his performances over the last few seasons ), and Kyle Steyn on the wing ( for me a far better option than either Graham or VdM - we lose way too many tries down vdM’s channel and Steyns defence is light years ahead of his, with his attacking presence not far off the big man’s )

      Totally agree, DVM's costs as many tries as he scores

    • @davidcolintunstall6048
      @davidcolintunstall6048 7 днів тому +1

      I feel bad to slate him, as he seems like a lovely guy, but DVM’s a big softie. Hess great at what he does do, but Darcy Graham being smaller somehow tackles harder and with more success. For the record, That’s not based on stats.

    A very difficult test for Scotland, but clearly a XV picked to go 50 minutes and then key rotations to press home a fitness and squad depth advantage, whilst being aware of another hard test against next week against Ireland.
    Key will be how much Zander Fagerson and the Scots front 5 can squeeze the debutante Italian loosehead and how Karl Dickson referees that. If they cough up penalties Russell can press the Italians back with deep touch finders.
    On the other hand, Menoncello and Brex are a great axis and the Scots will need their wits about them when they are without the ball.
    Scotland 33-21. If the Scots have any aspirations to contend this 6N, a win and try BP is a must.

    • @TwoCentsRugby
      @TwoCentsRugby  7 днів тому +1

      Yeah man I think that's pretty much fair. Anything less than a BP win will be seen as falling short for Scotland

    • @solinvictus1234
      @solinvictus1234 7 днів тому

      If the Italian debuttante Rizzoli will be as good as it was Mirco Spagnolo at his debut (that destroyed someone called Dan Cole 108 caps) i will not be so comfortable for Fagerson and company. Who have ever seen an Italy with such deepness capable to leave on the bench people like Ross Vintcent, Lucchesi and Zuliani?
      This is a game to take as a final for Scotland, like they should have done the last year cause they lost there the 6N.
      Far away is the time where Rome was just a vacation for players.

    As a Scotland fan, this game is one of the most worrisome. Italy are looking strong and demonstrated that last year. If Scotland lose this game or get injuries it will feel like there is little hope for even third in this tournament with Ireland and France being favourites, and England potentially being a dark horse. However, if it s 2 converted try plus win with no injury concerns, then game on for Scotland

    • @robertswaine204

      They for sure have an immense amount of talent, but I reckon that if Scotland play as they can. Especially in defense, which was something who's standards seemed to mysteriously slip and loose them that last match to Italy, then I think Scotland will take the victory. I've respected the Italians for many years. It'll be a great game either way.

    We should have too much for Italy but,and there is always a but with Scotland,getting on the right side of Karl Dickson will be vital. He is a pernickity referee and once you get on his wrong side it is trouble. The game will be stop start so little chance for the teams to get into a rhythm and I expect it to be very close given the quality of the italian back row and classy backs. Scotland by 5

    • @ThymeTwister
      @ThymeTwister 7 днів тому

      I believe it's basically forwards captain and backs captain.
      It'd be mainly a reflection of internal leadership groups within the team, and as for who would talk to the ref it seems to be context-based.

      @@TwoCentsRugby It seemed very obvious the prices were wrong initially, similarly France are now out to -27 and I expect that to reach 30 by kick off.
      The Italy line went from 13/1 to 10/1 in the space of 3 hours last Friday from what I'm seeing they're now a general 17/2 and should probably be 5/1 (which would still be value for me).
