FUTURISM
Ignorance pulls
Apostasy and apathy still rules
Yeah you know it's cool
Just suck and see
A future turns us into silent gods
And I won't miss you at all
Grounded
Boxed in
Like the evil in your veins
Grounded
Boxed in
I am stuck with you
Fate can't decide
Alignment of the planets in your hands
Come on crush our plans
Just suck and see
A future that won't let you disagree
And I won't miss you at all
Grounded
Boxed in
Like the evil in your veins
Grounded
Boxed in
I am stuck with you
Feel it, hear it
Right apathy you are
See it, be it
You'll see
I don't care whether you like their music or not but you have to admit they are one of the most technically gifted and talented bands ever.
Not many bands can make the live version of a song sound better than the studio version..
+Joseph Stephens I like it more in the lower key.
True. But this particular performance doesn't sound better than the studio version. It's good but not better. The vocals are good live, but just listen to his vocals on the studio version.
But the instrumental is better live
+Yeezak But the newborn's live version is awesome and better than the studio version !
Joe Wodjkofski Yeah that's true. That song is always incredible live!
Chris is damn talented at bass
Its sorprising that he started playing drums.
So underrated
@@user-kg5bp1jw2b he's praised as one of the best bass players of the past 2 decades, I don't think he's underrated
@@louie8604 not really publicly widely regarded as though, more by us
And he can sing!
I never knew futurism was a bonus track.
0816Egg For the Japanese version, coincidentally
Zooropa_Station I don't think it was a coincidence, I think that is the reason they performed it
+SnakeEater866 Correct, it wasn't included on the original album as it was too difficult to play live. Glad that has changed!
+Zarazzamatazz they play it in a lower key here
+Zooropa_Station for what album?
This is possibly one of the best songs of all time ever.
Fax
true
@@reptohos who says is gay
@@TotalGoatHead you are gaë
Am I the only one who likes it more in this lower key?
especially the chorus!
Do they realise how cool this song is. we want this on the set list more please
Chris thee Wolstenbeast is gigantically a fucking awesome bassist, fucking talented, fucking powerful on stage! And I love that when it's dark, I still can point where he's standing because of those little lights on his guitar.
OOS is a fantastic album that even its bonus track is fantastic as hell.
Origin Of Symmetry defined what Muse was all about. Melodic vocals, piano and that heavy bass that drives every song in the album 🤘🔥🔥
That moment when B-Sides have more quality and depth than most
bands actual album songs. One of the best MUSE B-Sides.
Holy shit people, this is so so good. The bass, the drums, the guitar and esspecialy the raw and full emotion voice of Matt. Cant believe this was only a bonus track. And how on earth did i overlooked this track. Definaly one of my all time favourites now.
It was a bonus track for the same reason this is only the second time it's been played live: it's extremely hard to sing.
Riley Banks they've played it a couple more times since then but it's still a rare song
I desperate want them to play sober live. They haven't since 2001. It's such a good song.
+D. Fox and overdue, filip, and few other tracks from showbiz...
D. Fox right?!?!!!!
Chris is actually performing sober now. Hasn't touched a bottle in a long while. We're quite proud of him.
@@HimanXK M8 I hope I'm not being r/wooooshed here but D. Fox means the song Sober off Showbiz
@@blupaduddle you know I legit can't remember whether I meant that as a joke or not
This is bass playery at its amazing best.
Phill Connell WolstenBEAST
This song is literally insane live 😭😭😭. So gooooooood!!!
I swear Chris changes his hair every concer
The sheer angst and power from that song is a force to reckon with. I hope they are proud.
If this is what will be played next time Muse is in the USA, I'm going no matter the price.
I'm going to see them this summer, so hoping to see some b-sides I would freak out :D
I believe they don't play it live because it's quite tricky, hence why it was only a bonus/b-side track from Origin of Symmetry
Lost Silver Fangirl Why can't you?
ShadowsVoid I assume the same reason as me, No Moneys +They Haven't played near me in quite some time. :|
mattbellamymate its not tricky when they themselves wrote and recorded it at least 50 times
Holy ahit! This is the muse i fell in love with all those years ago!!
But it's old song...
mokry09 I know. Doesn't make it less awesome though.
Most underrated band
Most underrated bassist
Most underrated guitarist+vocalist
Most underrated drummer
Agreed!
The Japanese get excited over anything Matt says
Who wouldn't?
Lmaoooo it sounds funny. Nothing like an American crowd. They all stop in unison😂😂
Yeah.... I don’t think 80% of them even knew what he was saying... 😓
@@mychemicalromancewillpierc5241 it just goes to show how much they love their music xd
I had no idea this song was a bonus track o.O
I bought origin of symmetry on iTunes and this quickly became my favourite song
Sounds even better live wow
Yeah on the physical disc of OoS this song isn't on it, unless you bought the Japanese retail. Same with Fury on Absolution. Literally two of the best Muse songs ever weren't released initially.
One of my favorite songs from Muse ever.
The quality of their live performance is always insane
The whole last minute and after he does those falsetto sounds so 90s and 00s it's nostalgic
Extremely underrated
That bass riff is so so sooo sick!
i wish we can hear this live more often
Dat bass intro...
This song sounds more awesome right now it shows how the band's sound has matured in 10 years.
I love it
I love muse forever
I Need the New Album NOW,,,Right fucking Now !!!!!!!!!!!
Why the fuck would they have not played THIS in 10 years???
because it's impossible to sing it without having an aneurysm
Ezequiel Agüero As if Micro Cuts is a lot easier.
Futurism is a tricky song to play in bass but once you understand the line you could play it even with your eyes closed
Ezequiel Agüero
I am trying to play it on piano.
It isn't that hard.
this bass riff is incredibly cool
and that.....my friends, is a bass line
Song of old school of Muse!! 👏😘
MUSE ARE BACK ☺
***** yea but we know that they're gonna upload more videos 😊
Yeees!!
***** And we'll probably get a new single in the meantime :)
:)
I honestly like this more than the original
With muse leaving a link for this.. It has me extremely excited as to what the next album brings.
Only 525 000 views for this piece of raw gold??? Musers!!! Where you all at???!!
Here. 901,649 views
Great perfomance. Who else thinks that Origin Of Symmetry is a very dark album???
The first time I heard this album, I was reading also Bram Stoker's Dracula and while listening to this album on the background it gave a very dark and frightening experience. Songs like Micro Cuts, Dark Shines, Futurism always remind me the Dracula's Castle, its surrounders, like I was Dracula's prisoner Jonathan Harker.
It's really amazing how music can make you feel this way.
Wow! You can actually understand Matt's banter. I've never been able to at a live concert.
Bonus tracks by Muse are much better than most other bands singles.
If I saw Futurism and Hyper music live I wouldn’t ask for anything else in life
Just got reminded of what actually made me love Muse years ago.
Holy shit, bass line eargasm
I’ve been a fan for at least 10 years . I get chills listening. Chris is insane I put him with Ryan and p-nutt. Matt of course is a musical god
Imagine being the Staff and giving your back to muse 😭
they really make me feel alive I love you muse ❤️❤️❤️
Glad this channel's still alive
I think it's gonna start livening up now that the new album is coming soon.
They're making the third law?
*****
Haha, that'd make a lot people very angry. The new album is being produced by Mutt Lange who worked with AC/DC, I believe. Also, we've been promised that things are going to get very heavy, as Matt has said that he wants to return to the old wild mentality of the band. There is also going to be an apparent sequel to the track Citizen Erased, one of the heaviest songs they've done.
John Doge Its one of the their best, but one of the heaviest? The Intro maybe. But Dead Star, Assassin, Stockholm Syndrome etc. Were much heavier. Not better but heavier. But Im really exited for the new Album!
I love how they can always pull a song from way back and make it sound just as amazing . This song and other rare ones are my favs . Great job
I AM SO JEALOUS THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SONG
Best version of Futurism. Better than the album version for sure!
Awesome! "Fate can't decide
Alignment of the planets in your hands"
I'm so in love with that band.... looking forward to the new album!
Muse! México wants you back :D
Arriba muse!
Chris! You're my bass God! 💝
Anyone else agree the best benefit of this new album is that it's drastically changing their live stylists,in a awesome way!! More rock, guitar, less soft pop! Can't wait!!
Underrated song
Matt: *breaths*
Japanese public: WOWOWOWOOOOOOAAAAAH
Dat bass.
My favourite thing about Muse.
If that was literally the first time in 10 years then ........ speechless 👍✌️
I love how the bassline hits me in the face every time. It's just so f-----
YEAH! Guys, you gotta play more b-sides. There are gems in there.
That bassline is so fucking sick, Muse fucking rules
If Muse doesn't fuck up this new album and they go back to the sound of Origin of symmetry, or Showbiz, it could possibly be the next best album
It just so much better when there's no phones hanging around, respect for all the japanese!
Japan always gets the best gigs ! lucky
Gotta love the attention put on Chris by the cameraman
Finally they're back
3 words. worst. crowd. ever. i understand the Japanese culture but come on, that bass line was orgasmic!!!!
I can feel young Matt bursting through on this one
This is the Muse we all want back!
bass is kick ass.
Don't get my hopes up and then dash them, Muse. There must be a reason they've posted this...
Damn this song might be un-popular out of all the 120 odd songs muse has put out but it is still damn wicked!!!
OMG could you see the strain on Matts face? That song has to be one of the hardest songs to sing ever but he did it! AMAZING!!!
♫ ♥ *We love Muse* ♥ ♫
i hope, one day i will be there to watch they show
ilove you muse
Wow I hope they´re playing this in the Drones tour, I´m going in April.
(2:52 massive spitting :P)
+LoveConnieAndTH Name They played Citizen Erased / Bliss / Plug In Baby in the Canadian tour depending of the show, I got the chance to hear Citizen Erased. So you'll probably get one of those three :)
Wow! :D Well I´ve heard Plug In Baby live already, it´s such a classic they haven´t really stopped playing it. But I don´t think I heard Bliss live and definitely not (omg!) Citizen Erased!!! I hope... but the show will be amazing anyway whatever they play... ;)
You'll be blown away by the show! I was front row!!
I wont be haha but I have seen Muse live twice and I know they are amazing beyond words
I had no idea this existed.
How did I not know this existed?
You didn't get the email?
It's a bonus track. If you got the CD of Origin of Symmetry it won't be on it. You can find it on iTunes
you didn't listen to the b-side tracks I guess :) just look them up they are amazing!
I've never heard this song before. How have i never heard this song before!?
You really need to go to MuseWiki and listen to every song that was put on their singles from Showbiz to Absolution, there are so many songs with not enough recognition!
It's on Origin of Symmetry, it's a bonus track I think. Great song
This is a half-step down, yes?
It sounds good, I just wanna make sure
This live version was the first time I heard this song... It is absolutely amazing. With a good pair of headphones and with the studio version I can feel myself just sinking into the bass
After Hysteria, this song has the best bassline of muse.
What a bass
Old Muse best Muse.
That bass!!!!!!!!!
2015 is here and I can't wait for their new album!!!!!!
What? O no, I'm just LISTENING TO MUSE AGAIN AND SCREAMING MY HEART OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all.
BRING THIS BACK ON THE SETLIST FFS MUSE. CLEANSE OUR SINS WITH THAT DIRTY PHAT BASS
WOW they are bringing it back better than ever! Now i want to see/hear that crazy piano work
YOURE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3:23 the crowd is so damn good lmao
Old Muse. I love it
Oh to be able to experience this...
What an epic performance! that song alone deserved a bigger crowd! loved it
Man this song is great :D
Got excited for a second thinking this was a new song.
I've been seeing this video posted on all of their pages on social media and even I got excited for a second. Oh well, who doesn't like a bit of Futurism?
Those drum tones are godly...
Siempre es un placer deleitarse con las canciones de MUSE y que decir de los conciertos hacen explotar miles de emociones.
Watching this after "psycho" I must admit that whatever people say about muse's new song, what i see here is 100 times more atmospheric than anything from their new stuff.
Some of the newer songs are as good, but they are all off drones.
Is this hinting that the new album will have an OoS sound...?
It was the most recent Christmas/holiday/winter/whatever present.
They can't
It's a sign that they will continue to love Japan forever.
I PRAY TO GOD BECAUSE THAT IS MY FAVE FUCKING ALBUM OF THEIRS
Yeah, I really like Origin. The only album I don't admire is Showbiz really, though it has some killer tracks.
