Some of his lyrics are really great and with meaning. Like, for example Just Cos You Got The Power, Don't Need Religion and God Was Never On Your Side.

A Motörhead song that will bring any person to tears would be “Don’t let daddy kiss me” Hard topic to sing about and Lemmy wanted a female singer to do it. He ended up doing it himself and it’s such a powerful piece. I highly recommend it to anyone, not just fans of Motörhead
I'm crying too. Such a waste of young boys. I'm 71 and a grandmother, war must stop. But will we ever learn? Sabaton does a beautil tribute to Lemmy with this song.

1916 was the year of The Somme Offensive. The first day of the assault on Imperial German positions was the worst day in British Military history 57,470 casualties, of which 19,240 died, on the first day. The battle lasted 141 days, at the end, there were around 420,000 British casualties, of which 95,000 died, and 200,000 French casualties, of which 50,000 died. The French were more heavily engaged at Verdun. German casualties were 650,000.
Real emotional song so of course a real emotional reaction. No shame in that. I did meet Lemmy (RIP) and the band and had a 'few' drinks with them after a concert. He will be missed.
It's not metal but Johhny Cash's Hurt may also make you cry. The last song he recorded before he and his wife sadly passed away. I think he knew it would be his last song.
yes another one that brings me to tears, and Metallicas One (full video) and The levellers - battle of the beanfield (if you can find the video with the actual footage of police brutality)
First time i heard this song I was in the middle of a discography run of Motorhead, for those who don't know, this is the last song on the 1916 album. Pretty much all of the songs leading up to it are your typical fast paced thrashing Motorhead songs, there is no warning for what comes at the end. I was at work when I was listening to the album and when 1916, the song, ended, I had to run to the restroom cause I was on the verge of tears and I'm not a person who normally cries
I have heard this song so many times and still find it hard to listen to without choking up. It's simple yet extremely powerful. The other song that does this to me is the Dropkick Murphy's cover of 'Green Fields of France'.
I have been a Motorhead fan for over 40 years and every time I hear this song it still gets me. He also wrote a song called Don't let daddy kiss me that came out in 1993, a hard song to listen to but an essential song to listen to. Lemmy certainly knew how to put a message across in song that is for sure. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and he even remembered who I was when we met again, he was an honest man and a honorable man.
Your honest reaction is welcomed. I don't think you could hide it nor do I think you could pretend to feel it. You're a big man for that even though you are short.
Blueprint for Armageddon is a masterpiece. It was my introduction to Carlin and his work. I can’t recommend it enough. The stories are harrowing. I’ll never forget his descriptions of Verdun, Passchendale, or the Kaiserschlagt.
Great reaction - I feel your pain. There are songs that make me cry or tear up - but I can't think of any song that hits me as hard as this one. I have big respect for Sabaton doing their version of this song, but it's a shame there aren't enough people reacting to this one as this one is so much better.
This one is simply better. I love sabaton but this one is perfection. I can’t listen to it ever again because it broke me a bit too hard, but I love this song
A few other songs that hit me are Molly Hatchet’s Fall of the Peacemakers, Saxon’s Broken Heroes, Frank Marino’s Stories of a Hero, Metal Church’s Method to Your Madness, Metallica’s One.

I'm not someone who's into motorhead, or metal, but this, this got me, as good an anti war song as I've ever heard, and the line that really breaks your heart? The last one, 'And now there's no one who remembers our names' it just crushes you every time.
This song really puts into context how horrific the battle of the Somme really was. Plenty of young men, many who also lied about their ages, with prospects of glory and quick success after 6 days of bombardment of the Germans in that sector-and on July 1st, in just the same amount of time 9/11 took, 7x the amount of men were killed for very little gained, and very few sectors broken through. More than 100 years later, it’s still the bloodiest day of battle the British ever had, just 4 measly hours, 20,000 + dead and 40,000 wounded.

The best anti-war song ever. Lemmys voice is incredible, the feelings, the heart he puts in this lyrics are unbeaten.
Definitely one of the best. "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" by Eric Bogle is right up there, too. Also about WW1 (Gallipoli)
