So sad Karl has just died - such a brilliant songwriter. I was lucky enought to be at the Albert Hall for this gig
Karl, one of the greatest song writers of all time. Never wrote a duff track. All killer, no filler. Just fantastic.
Needed to hear this tonight. Thanks, Karl. Rest in power. Your music and lyrics are a light to the journey.
Magic ..........I Mean pure magic .......still listening in 2021...........
Me? October 26, 2022!
Bob Dylan's 115th Dream.
Come back to the US!! We need you!
Well done! We miss you Karl!
Has he gone somewhere?
What a great song, and a brilliant performance!Thumbs up all around!
Karl Wallinger's affectionately tipping his hat to Bob Dylan here, methinks. All that's missing is someone standing on stage turning over cards with the lyrics scribbled upon them. True feelgood music!
Love your comment. Great ear my friend. YOU ARE EXPERIENCED!!!
@@gratefuldead2379 Aw shucks, you're making me blush. 😏
Bahahahahahaha
Tombstone Blues-
OMG! I've been listening to this thinking the same thing the whole time. Fantastic performance. RIP Karl
I hope Kurt tours again, missed him in Ottawa, Canada a few years ago.
A brilliant homage to Dylan. The album version is amazing - this is just sublime...
This is sooo good!RIP Karl
Wish I had a copy of the lyrics. That was a fantastic jam! They had a lot of fun!
I am super sad thinking how unlikely it is for me Ever see Karl live & in person. A dream unfulfilled. So far anyway.
RIP Karl
Fantastic performance of a great song!
... with the GREAT Chris Sharrock pushing it all along on drums
Great Stuff! Thanks for hookin' us up!

Oh facin ya!
Karl is still sublime.
What explains the bands lack of recognition in relation to their huge talent?
Smaller label. The biggest publicity push they got was for Goodbye Jumbo which was a moderate success.
They never sold out, thank God.
You talk about a great song. You talk about a great album. You talk about a great artist. Well hey I’d like to talk to you 😎💀
Is there a list of the band members?
Catchy!
Great song. Music and lyrics are always open for interpretation, but this song seems very fitting these days...
? why?
Great Bob Dylan tribute act here.Bet Bob thinks he'd love to do Ship of Fools etc, by way of tribute to the peerless World Party.
What ever happened to Carl Wallinger?
Where was this barn-burner performed at and when? Scorching!
similar to little man within from first album
who is on guitar?
Johnny Turnbull (best known ford being in the Blockheads )
Ooh Karl………… youbugger
