    Man if Philip could get a ring then i think people would truly respect how good he is, despite a couple bad years with Norv, he did a GREAT job this year now that he had more control of the offense

    • @bayushizero
      @bayushizero 11 років тому +5

      Next year is looking promising.
      Having a healthy Malcolm Floyd, Keenan Allen, Ladarius Green and the amazing Antonio Gates as a receiving corps?
      O.o
      Chargers would have been even more dangerous if Floyd hadn't had the horrid injury from that nasty hit in the game against Philly.

      @boltsfan9101 11 років тому +2

      I agree. If we can get him a ring, there will be no doubt how is the greatest QB in the history of the Chargers. I love him, and if anyone can do it, it's him.

      rene hernandez thank you for the unbias. Im not sleeping on them Raiders, picked up some good names and still have the draft coming. losing Veldheer was probably a big blow however.

      LakersDodgersChargersKingsTrojans Veldheer and Houston. Houston is a beast, he's gonna show the league this soon watch. We have a new front office, we're making smarter moves and have some sort of plan... hopefully it turns into at least competitive play. As for the dolts, rivers + keenan allen is deadly, people sleep on him and imo he's a top 10 receiver right now. Dude I should change my name to lakesdodgersRAIDERSskingstrojans... serious how are you a chargers fan here in la lol

    im a brady fan but if i had to chose any other qb to lead my team it would have to be this guy. he doesn't get nearly enough credit as he should. he makes scrub wide receivers into great players just like brady. he's one of the most competitive players in the game. and keep in mind he doesn't play with a great coach, like brady, brees, manning (im referring to dungy of course). He's often carrying his team. i felt bad watching phillip lose to the broncos this year because his team laid an egg while he was out there grinding. if only the chargers didn't suck as a team then they would be taking the afc west every year because this guy is the truth!

    Rivers deserves a ring. Idk how Eli has 2, because he is really not consistent and threw the most interceptions in the league. Rivers is on a not so good team and still almost went to the superbowl.

    • @Marquise619
      @Marquise619 10 років тому

      Eli just won from luck I guess.

    • @joesakic91
      @joesakic91 10 років тому +1

      Aidan Santistevan Luck with will, skill, grit and guts is how Eli Manning won his 2 SBs with the New York Football Giants.
      Sure, the Giants defense played their part on getting to Tom Brady's face and neutralizing the Patriots offense and special teams played their part with Lawrence Tynes kicking game-winning field goals, but you need a QB that engineers game-winning drives that lead to game-winning points in the playoffs and Eli Manning does it with five, tying with Joe Montana for third most in NFL history. Only Tom Brady with 7 and John Elway with 6 have more.

    • @sedcdf
      @sedcdf 10 років тому +1

      joesakic91 You're always on Rivers videos, and defending Eli Manning and shit. As a Browns fan i would never take that overrated bum on my team... It was luck(David tyree catch and Kyle Williams fumble) how he got those two SB rings... And the defense does play a huge part as well. They both smacked Aaron Rodgers and Brett Farve in their faces until they faced the Patriots. And Rodgers and Farve are both first ballot HOF....Don't tell shEil is better than both of them.

    • @plkyv
      @plkyv 10 років тому +1

      because Eli has a dominant defense with a top 5 defensive line.

    • @joesakic91
      @joesakic91 10 років тому

      plkyv But Eli Manning still has to do his part in leading the Giants offense to the game-winning points against the Patriots in SBs 42 and 46.
      Eli Manning not deserving any credit in those two SB losses is like saying Tom Brady doesn't deserve anything in the Patriots three SB wins in 2001, 2003 and 2004.
      Without Brady engineering game-winning drives, Adam Vinatieri wouldn't made the game-winning kicks against the Rams in SB 36 and the Panthers in SB 38.

Green, as well as Mathews/Woodhead. Now we have Allen, the 2 Williams and Benjamin, along with Henry/Virg. Green, and Gordon/Ekeler. Which is better?? (We also have a better line now)

    • @slysinister
      @slysinister 10 років тому +7

      rivers throughout his career has shown he is the best qb in that draft class. ben and eli both benefited greatly from their defense on their superbowl runs. just look at the numbers and it not even a debate whos better. if rivers gets a ring, it will just put him WAY above those 2 qbs

    • @okapiking

    • @slysinister
      @slysinister 10 років тому +3

      Justin Easow so many false statements in your comment. first of all ben and eli BARELY have more passing yards and thats due to rivers sitting on the bench his first two years. he will probably surpass them this year as a matter of fact. second, ben doesn't have a superbowl mvp. and sure youre right eli and ben have 2 rings, but i hardly hear any analysts or former players call the hof caliber even with them having 2 rings and being quarterbacks, you know why? because eli has been consistently average all his career except for 2011 which he will NEVER have again. ben has unquestionably benefited from a great defense his whole career, and is why hes made the playoffs so many times. i think if you look at their careers at the end, more people will end up saying rivers was the better player, and eli and ben were on better TEAMS. and like i said if rivers wins even just one ring, which actually isnt that much of an overstatement, he will be light years ahead of those 2 qbs in the "hof" debate

      @slysinister 10 років тому +1

      Justin Easow ben doesnt have a superbowl mvp. that shows me you didnt even follow his career thoroughly and probably are basing your statements on information youve read. and dont just brush off elis interception, the guy threw 18 tds to 27 interceptions last year. for a guy who is "in the discussion of the hall of fame", that is ridiculously terrible. in the 20 years favre played, he had 5 seasons with 20+ ints. in eli's 10, he already has 3. here just to make it easier, eli has 35,300yds, 229td-171int. ben 3400, 219- 122. rivers (with 2 seasons he was on the bench) 3200, 221-104. but whatever, believe what you will
