- I bought the Flesh Bowl Creator set from Doctor Who in a bid to fill in the gaps in my 5.5" figure collection, but before it became a display piece on the shelf I thought it would be fun to have a go at making my own Ganger 11th Doctor! It was something I would quickly regret...

The quick descent from Matt defending the product to ten minutes later where he says “what a load of shit” was wonderful to watch. Would love to see more videos exploring some of the weirder aspects of the Who toy line!
Hearing Matt speaking so positively and warmly about a NuWho product - a Series 6 product no less - feels so strange. I’m all for it.

No it isn't, it's natural to feel nostalgic for something you grew up with especially when it comes to Doctor Who or anything you've grown up with. In many ways, you could say that you are revisiting what you grew up with and in this day in age or at any time, that's a good thing!
Compared to the last few seasons, 6 seems better now than it did.
Nice DC animated collection in the back there. Shame this thing doesn't work properly. Odd as well as Ashens took a look at the Terminator Salvation one and it worked fine.

I loved my Terminator 2 and Terminator Salvation playsets of this. Never relalized there was one made for Doctor Who.
Never really had interest in this kit, but honestly would want to get it now, even if just for a laugh!
I never had the kit but I had some of the goo because of the figures and... the goo plus Australian heat does not go well. In short the goo ended up this foul yellow colour and I ended up binning it also the 11th Doctor goo figure that came out actually has melted a lot thanks to the heat and also gone a yellowy colouron the face and hands.
I had the choice back in the day between this or a Zygon figure. I chose the correct option!! Now I wish I got the rest of K1

I wonder if the reason it moulds 11 without his jacket is because it takes the ganger mould from the CO figure sculpt?
In which case the jacket is a separate piece. Not sure if that's how it was made, but it might be a cost effective way perhaps?

I was a kid at the time (6) and my parents never let me open the slime because of fears of a damaged carpet.
In theory if you wanted to have a similar enough version of the figure to put on display with the rest of them couldn't you just use playset's mold with either some plaster or white silicon?
I had some ghostbusters toys that used slime when I was a kid. Never again. Lol
Oh yeah, I forgot Ghostbusters got in on the slime trend of the 80s!

What about the junk tardis console from series 6 play set wise that was pretty good

hey, i'm going to be possibly composing this in 2 parts, depends whats said of the ganger maker really :P
Part 1 - The Flesh Goo: back in the day, i wasn't all that into the toyline, like don't get me wrong i always wanted quite a few bits of it at the time, still do now, don't want everything but like, i won't say no to a good dalek or 18 :P but i remember at the time i thought the whole slime thing was a pointless addition, yes i was maybe 15 going on 16 at the time, but having the affinity for TTTE i can get somewhat of a decent idea of what was fairly decent and what is just pointless rubbish (just look at some of the trackmaster sets they did, look up "thomas trackmaster bridge jump" and "thomas trackmaster tornado" for 2 very good examples of bad toy design when trying to innovate, where was i?), and at the time i thought it was honestly pointless, like i get younger kids would like it and everything so i didn't care too much about it, i just never wanted anything to do with them personally, a pointless gimmick that plagued series 6 because of the "amy ganger" subplot, the masks in my eyes were fine, creepy but fine, again i didn't care about it enough to want them and knew youngens would enjoy it regardless until they lost them, so i'm indifferent about its inclusions, yes i don't like it, don't think i ever will, but at the end of the day, as you say, they are toys at the end of the day, and people seem to forget that, dislike it all you want collectors, its not meant for you.
Part 2 - The Ganger Maker: so, this is something i knew i never wanted at the time, and remember seeing videos online about it and being like "nah, not for me" because all i took away from the videos is "goo goes brrrrrrr and fails" which tbf is kind of true here but at least you've spoken about it more so, and now i kind of want it if only for set dressing, like in a space junkyard, although ngl it does have 1 good use, i think it was Votesaxon07 that did this but its good for making chocolate doctors, more stable and you can eat them when your bored of them :P but with it being a gimmick piece rather than a playset (so like for example you push a lever a plastic "goo" disc spins and opens up a plastic door for you to pull out a ganger doctor figure or any other figure) i can see why people hated it, again i didn't care for it back then, don't care for the goo part now, but i now have more of an appreciation for it, especially now knowing its set accurate :P
either way, despite the suspicious lumpy nature of the suspect powder substance, i rather emjoyed the video my dude, and if you have bothered to read all of that, thankyou for coming to my ted talk :P

The best thing to come out of series 6 figure wise was the Mondasian Cyberman with the big gun and filled in chestplate.
The end result is if dapol made new series figures 🧐

Try sieving the pounder, then it will dissolve better in the water, it works so so much better and lot betting consistency

dood video yeah this is a good fun toy after seeing this video i went on ebay & bought a a flesh bowl set for my collection also there was these slime flesh tardis shaped pods that came with 11th doctor ganger body parts which is weird

Never worry about buying something that is so shit. That no ones buying it! I had the piss taken out of me in 1978 when the Remus clay molder set came out. Now it like rocking horse shit and collected like diamonds. £100
