- In this prologue to my Ultimate Whales Series, we explore the ocean between Los Angeles and the Channel Islands in Southern California. In this series, I'll travel from LA to Hawaii, to Baja California, and central California in search of the oceans largest creatures. While whale are the focus, my ultimate goal is find whales and sharks coexisting. A tall order but one that is likely given the wonders of sea.

I used to see whales all the time when I lived on an island. Orcas were a common sight and one time I saw a grey whale and her calf and the calf came close enough I could have touched it but i didn't want to scare it off. Instead, we just looked at each other from a few feet away and shared a special moment. Very cool creatures!
I wanna live on an island lol 😂
I don’t want to sound sarcastic here but it’s hard in today’s time to seem genuinely amazed about something without sounding like I’m taking the piss. That’s an amazing thing to experience very jealous
@blairmarshall544 haha you're all good! I totally know what you mean though. Text isn't always the best medium for portraying emotion.
Absolutely incredible footage 🤩 The baby grey was so tiny compared to mama! 🩶

It's not the actual physical human hand they long for, so much as the connection that comes along with that touch. 🧜🏽♀💜🐋
Absolutely gorgeous all animals deserve justice and protection from cruelty and habitats destruction and hunting

Beautiful animals living as nature intended. I hope that humans don’t harass and harm them.

I love whales. They are such gentle giants and I remember watching that video of you petting and kissing the whale. It proves just how affectionate they really are 🥰. Good luck on meeting up with the whale and her calf. I really hope you find her 🙏🏻😊 and good luck finding the black and white dolphin (don’t want to jinx you) 😉

I’ve been seeing a lot of a guys work out of San Diego lately (the name escapes me but I think it’s Dom). They are dolphin hunters. I definitely don’t have the stomach to watch those kinds of hunts in their entirety.
People hunt dolphins in San Diego?
A dream of mine is to see with my own eyes The Island of The Blue Dolphin, San Nicolas Island. I'm surprised that you are looking for Orcas. I hope you find them soon.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
mammals fully living in the ocean just feels a little strange. they always have to swim forward, and if they don't have the energy anymore they just drown? scary thought
Hopefully you see sharks. I'm all about sharks. 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
Some sad new in Navarre Beach, FL. A female Great White washed up on the beach. She was about 15 ft and pregnant . A week earlier some fisherman had caught a Great White of the beach.
One can search Great White Navarre Beach and see the several UA-cam videos,
Update: After the necropsy , the female was not pregnant. The 15ft female estimated 30 years old was still a juvenile .
Don’t you need to go further north to see the big dolphins?
Why can I only view in HD and not 4K my OLED tv is 4K????? 😢
Thank you, I grew up in Santa Monica and spent a lot of time with my friends in Marina Del Rey in the 70s had a blast ❤. Wouldn't want to be there now I'm sorry to say, but had I not left in 93 I'd probably be in prison or dead.

Thank you for not calling them “killer whales”! It bothers me that some marine scientists don’t use their biological name!
Killer Whale is proper nomenclature all the same.
@@daddius You are incorrect.
Hi,
I can do away with watching Orcas, smart creature
