Whenever i finish an anime i get really sad and then i get on youtube and listen to the ost and it just makes me more sad D': lol. I guess just knowing that that world is over sucks.
Most people hated Esdeath but honestly, she was one of my favourite characters in Akame Ga Kill. I just can't help but admire how deep her love for Tatsumi was.
This song goes with Akame ga kill characters so perfectly I can hear the happiness, the sadness, the love for a comrade, the unconditional love Esdeath had for Tatsumi, Tatsumi's resolve and night raids vision for a better capital. Amazing song.
I don't really understand the hate for this anime. As soon as the key players were involved, the fight scenes were outstanding. The characters had interesting backstories. The dialogue was engaging and the I found the characters' interactions with their allies amusing most times. And you have music like this as the cherry on top. Okay, I've never read the manga but I think the anime as a stand alone is already pretty good and well worth your time.
+BURGATRON Well it was sort of sloppy, the death scenes seemed forced. I thought it was mostly popcorn material. Go below the surface of it, and you're just going to be disappointed. That's probably why people don't like it.
+crazy sea-mango i don't understand. what you're saying is a little vague. for me, the fighting is good. for an anime titled 'akame ga kill', that's all i really expected. and it delivered.
I also liked the anime but i felt everything was too rushed. I mean they could easily have extended it to like 40-50 episodes instead of 24 by having a bit more character development , backstories (how Najenda lost her arm and right eye etc.) Also some of the deaths were somewhat 'forced' like Leone's...
+John Himai I agree about what you said about it being rushed. They could've definitely improved there. But I'd rather have a show that is rushed than one that drags on too long just to make more money. As for Leone's death, I was just surprised she didn't die sooner. I always thought she was the weakest among everyone.
Just watched the episode with the death of the flame executioner....and I just cudn't but tear up because he will never see his family again, the song just made it worse for me :/
Bols' family was killed and his wife raped. Thankfully Lubbock killed the guy who did that after he was tortured by him where his balls were crushed. Lubbock died a legend who gave that guy retribution for his disgusting acts.
That scene with his family was INFURIATING. It seemed to happen for absolutely no reason and it was given practically no gravity. It was almost a joke. I quit the manga after that. That whole arc was dog shit. I only came back when the manga ended to see it finished.
Wow I forgot how emotional this OST was, I watched this last year and it shocked me but it was a reality kind of anime it teaches you that it’s not always a happily ever after sometimes for what you want to achieve sacrifices have to be made.
Watched for the first time back late 2022 and it easily got plopped into my top 10 animes. I was surprised how much it hooked me and stuck with me considering I haven’t really been into anime as much as I used to be anymore. Haven’t had one of those great experiences watching an anime since finishing Death Note.
I watched this anime barely in 2020. It was a master piece. Capturing both aspects of the protagonist and antagonists. Showing how everyone is the hero in there own minds. Every one truly fighting for what they believe. This show captured that very well. even the jaegers showed moments of there own comroderai and friendships I felt sympathy for night raid and certain jaeger deaths. And now that this anime is done I dont know what to do with myself. A very beautiful anime 👏
I took a moment to listen to this track at my dad's funeral. I stood in silence up until I reached 2:40 that was when a thought went off in my head that told me that I'm alone in everything as a man now and it's time to prove that I'm a better man than he was. So I walked away smiling knowing that he'd be happy to know I was gonna rise to the challenge instead of fall to his level.
Just finished the series and came to find this song only to notice the date. It's been exactly five years to this day. This show was so heart wrenching it made sad.
At 2:30 when I close my eyes I feel like riding a horse trough the deserts at dawn, my vagabonds companions next to me, with wild screams and dirty clothes and feeling the wind in my hair while I watch the sun going to sleep. Just a feeling of freedom for a few seconds.

SPOILERS: In the manga, Mine and Leone and Tatsumi don't die. Mine is left in a comatose state from overusing her Pumpkin Tengu (Imperial Arms), Tatsumi is at risk of becoming a demon from over-using Incursio too much (3-4 more transformations into armor will transform him permanently into Incursio's avatar), and Leone is very much alive. The anime made up its own ending since the manga is still ongoing and they butchered it. Just wait for the manga to end; the anime's ending was awful
+J Smith True dat. Also Tatsumi's new Incursio form in the Manga was way more badass than big golden dragon armor garbage. I'm disappointed that Wave didn't go all-out against Akame... Looks like they're saving him for Tatsumi, his counter-part, I guess.
+J Smith I didn't find the ending so bad. I actually liked the fact that they killed off the MC, since it almost never happens in such animes. The problem was how they killed most characters and how they portrayed the reactions of their friends. Spoiler: F.e. Akame breaks down crying after killing Kurome, and is afterwards seen casually eating meat and chatting with Tatsumi and Leone.
+MrVolt16 the ending failed because if ur gonna kill the mc then do it in the final episode. it was very anticlimactic. also it kills the shot at a second season. the only choice is reboot. also plot armor is bad bad killing an mc for the sake of being edgy is dumb. code geass did it right. that death fit perfectly. or Spike Spiegel's death was perfect and it fit cowboy bebop. tatsumi's death just didnt fit.

I like the animes ending because they displayed what war is everyone you know everyone you faught with everyone you cared for will eventually die right in front of you and those who died won't see what happens next
The Night Raids will be remembered for a short time and only as criminals. In fact, everything concerning the individual members and the deeds of the group has been canceled. For this reason the protagonists will be forgotten.
