You know, a lot of people think this music video is nonsensical, but I think it's a great representation of being something you don't want to be. She's a sort of queen throughout this video, but she's wearing a lot of fashions and flashy outfits that aren't necessarily her. People are always ready to crucify you in the music industry no matter what you look like, or no matter what decisions you make. If you aren't flashy enough, people don't notice you. If you're too flashy, you're selling out or you're conforming to what the industry wants. She's being tugged by the crows throughout the video, which means she has people telling her who she should and shouldn't be. She's in small spaces because she feels like her own creativity is being stunted, which is why she looks so forlorn when she's holding the cage in her hand.
That's where "death is mine I know" comes from. She knows this fame and queenliness is short-lived.

sounds like a ton of these bands are underrated bands. maybe white fire alarm and fiery sushi too. need to go and find on spotify and whatever platforms are out there.
It takes a long time for algorithms and recommendations to do their jobs, I guess. Also, going mainstream is less about how good you are and more about who's **** you're wiling to ****. This band is quite openly about NOT doing that.
