This is sooo frustrating that some of the top riders in the world use some of the most cruel "methods" for training.

6 months? Not even 1 month for every strike of the whip, should be at least 24 months...let alone years!

I have been involved with training like this, but it is done with a guide rope moving in a circle and NEVER a whip or anything that would cause pain. This is disgraceful.

🤬nowhere near enough, that’s a freaking slap on the wrist.
Animal abuse is far too prevalent and abusers get off far too lightly.
Their lives are precious too and should be well protected from these vicious and vile two legged monsters.😡

Riding should be banned from the Olympics. The horses are doing all the work, why would the riders be praised for sitting on their backs...

Technically she is using that kind of whip right that with is used to hit the horses feet very lightly like a tickle but as you can see she’s using it with a lot of force usually in horse racing jockeys have maximum whip use if they go over it they might be disqualified. But the thing I don’t understand is that she hit the horse 24 times in a minute! a that has to be illegal! I feel like some abusive dressage trainers or riders would probably say it’s to “wake up” the horse.

@@PiperSapphireShield I agree that it's wayyy to many times. Even if the whip is meant to tap the horse's legs I don't think it should be with enough force that you can actually hear it

She IS a bad person. When the video was shot she was adult and aware. 10 years ago, 4 years ago or 2 years ago... it doesn't matter, there is no statute of limitation for abuse. She DOESN't LOVE horses at all. Those who really love horses could NEVER EVER behave that way. That video is shocking, and aside her actions, her words were the opposite of love and respect.
    SHAME ON HER

A horse with the intelligence of a six-year-old child, how can you expect every horse to perform the same championship actions as a champion horse? This is not a formula game. Just bring it in and you can get generous bonuses and fame for your Grand prix, what’s ridiculous is that people will only use the oldest method to force each batch of horses to perform standard movements, so that the career of professional riders can be guaranteed. Harsh training leads to a tamed horse.😢

It was a long time ago and people grow and change. She isn't a bad person, it was just a bad learning moment. Still sad to think the last true candle of home that dressage isn't a cruel sport so far from what it once was has gone out in some way, even for me.
