You are who you choose to be. Anakin chose to be in the Dark Side. People can blame multiple characters all they want but if Anakin was witty enough, he would've made the better decisions.
Considering modern day politics, it's right on the nose. When you're raised to think a certain way, there's easy ways to manipulate you. All you need is plant a seed of doubt at a young age and let it grow. Palpatine had most of Anakin's life, as well as access to what he was being taught, to easily manipulate him. It's a lesson that can be very easily applied to day but people are, like Anakin, can't see past their upbringings, educations and indoctrinations.
It goes much much deeper than that. Palpatine spent years slowly manipulating him and making him trust him so even when he revealed he was a Sith Anakin was still conflicted about what to do. And Palpatine actually told him he personally didn't know how to do it. "To Cheat Death is a power only one has achieved." Anakin already knew the Jedi wouldn't be of any help and he was running out of time. The vision showed she died in childbirth which was due very shortly. Combine that with his already growing mistrust of the Jedi and believing there was no turning back after what happened with Mace its no surprising he turned to the Dark Side, and another point he was already planning to overthrow Palpatine and take his place so he was just using Palpatine to get the information he needed to save Padme.
Well put. I would still have to argue that the only thing he loved more than being a Jedi was Padme. Her life on the line; even if from a trusted friend I would need some proof to save my woman. What is the plan to save her. Specifics, blueprint, game plan.
Anakin is a family man at heart with a compassionate nature for people but the Jedi order during the time he was inducted informally into it DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THIS KIND OF PERSON 🤷🏾♂️ The Jedi treated him like garbage from day one 👏🏾 Palpatine was the only one who was actually straight up with him on many subjects , he manipulated him with the Truth about who the Jedi truly are as people etc Anakin wasn’t stupid he just realised that the Jedi order at that time WERE SNAKES who never liked him from the start so he didn’t owe nobody loyalty over there. You can’t blame him for assisting Sidious & that’s just me looking at the scenario from a Empathetic stand point outside of my own 🤔💭✅… #MyOpinion
Truth on several points. They did allow bullying during his academy days, The Order was dismissive at times and he was kind. The Order did kinda push him to Palpatine. But I still say Anakin did not stop and think.
1. Betrays his entire order on a promise that can't even be fulfilled in the time he needs it to be. 2. Chokes his pregnant wife after he turns to the dark side for the sole purpose of saving her life. 3. Stays loyal for 25 years to the guy who blatantly tricked him. Yes, he's dumb.
Its that on a promise that I can help part that always gets me. No proof whatsoever. Just a discussion in an opera house about a Sith you never heard of.
one of the key highlights of anakins stupidity was when he choked padme on mustafar he went from liar you brought obi wan to kill me to you will not take her from me to if you aren't with me then your my enemy in the span of one scene. i get anger can blind people but anger doesn't make someone that stupid lol
Yeah; you got me on that one. I tried couple of times but the pronunciation always comes off weird. I don't like the way Coruscant is said too. Thanks for listening though
You completely missed what got Anakin in this situation, his visions of Padme dieing in labor is what caused him to turn to the darkside. It was the act of trying to save her that actually killed her, if he would have followed Yoda's advice she wouldn't have died.
Yes; I hear you but my point is why didn't Anakin ever ask for proof of being able to save or revive the dead. He joined the darkside without confirmation that he could actually save Padme. Am I wrong?
@@starwarsdistrict he didn't care, all he wanted to do was stop these visions from coming true like what happened to his mother. Have you ever seen The Butterfly Effect movie? Great example of what can happen when you can see the future and try to change its outcome.
@@OneNationUnderGod. Yeah, I mean, the story telling doesn't have a lot of subtlety to it. He goes against everything he had been fighting for for years, to the point of murdering a bunch of children because.....a guy told him a legend. He shouldn't have much loyalty to Palpatine or the Dark Side based off what we see in the films, particularly after Palpatine tells him he doesn't actually have the knowledge to save Padme or when he learns she is dead. Anakin even confirms this in that he tells Windu that 'he should stand trial, and it is not the jedi way to kill Palpatine'. Honestly, the real reason he turns to the dark side as presented in the film seems to be that he cuts Windu's hand off (in the midst of confusion and conflicted thoughts, without a true sense of purpose), and then just seems to go, 'well I made my bed and I guess I have to sleep in it now.'
@@OneNationUnderGod. Have not seen the Butterfly Effect. Just one of those movies that I hear is good but keep putting off lol. I'm still on the idea of needing proof. Anakin lost his mother & his wife was pending. Why not ask Palpatine for a demonstration? I understand wanting to do anything to save Padme but Anakin was either dumb or gullible to just take Palpatine at his word. Where is the proof he could save anyone? A lot of death and effort went into Operation: Knightfall. All with the blind hope of being able to save Padme. Plus, during Anakin's coronation speech to the darkside; Palpatine told him that he does not already know how to manipulate midichlorians like Darth Plageius the Wise.
Biggest dumbs were qui-gon Jin and Obi-wan. Both idiots were believing That Anakin is choosen one because of his midihclorian count (reminds me racism). In return Qui-gon Jin killed by a sith, Obi-wan cut his best friends limbs and indirectly responsible billions of peoples death. But Anakin was gullible for sure

I would have loved for him to make better decision too

Yes sir; you have a good point.
as well Anakin forgot that plapitin is the one that has bean tiring to kill pad may all this time but he just used mall an count duocku as bates
Yes. Yes Anakin was both dumb and gullible.
He believed in his own hype.

I agree. Anakin was all over the place. I don't think he was ready to get married either. He needed to develop more first.
Yes, Skywalker was easily fooled by the Dark Side.
I tend to get annoyed at how easily though
Darth Plag gee uss. Nice try AI.
Yeah; you got me on that one. I tried couple of times but the pronunciation always comes off weird. I don't like the way Coruscant is said too. Thanks for listening though
Yup
Spoiler: probably both.
Both.
Sadly true

Both are the exact same thing.
I tend not to think so. Anakin was gullible and easy prey despite his strength but he was ignorant of Palpatine hidden agendas
Troubled and misguided
I think I will have to make a video about this.
