Yeah, that's actually been a problem in normal gameplay. Not sure what’s more ridiculous, the fact that you can put 100 jumpers on a locust, or the fact that using that many didn’t instantly overheat you three times over
Apparently this guy's modifying game files, but they only work in the Academy. No, you can't normally fit 100 jump jets on a Locust. That'd be 50 tons of jets on a 20 ton 'mech. :) But it's the same way he fit two Gauss Rifles with two tons of ammo, an ERPPC, and an XL400 engine on a Locust. :)
Haha, I busted out laughing! :D That was amazing. I had a funny feeling the landing was going to be death, though. :D There's a mission in MW2 where you're supposed to escort a mining train, and as soon as it starts moving, a Jenner IIC powers up at the top of a nearby mountain and jumps off to meet you. It typically goes exactly like this. :D Easiest kill in the game.

@@venomousgoose5023 I think it survived once, out of a dozen or so playthroughs. For whatever reason, in the version I had, it burned through its jump jets before getting anywhere close to the ground, and had nothing left to cushion the landing.
JJs were pretty easily abused in in MW2 and MW2 Mercs. If I recall you could mount them on everything and also fire them off in different directions. I had them tied to the hat switch on my old MS Sidewinder in my left hand (mouse on the right). You could also intermittently tap the JJs to maintain a straight level flight without ever touching down. I remember doing so on a Ghost Bear mission where I literally flew over and past all the opposition to escape.

I do not think a Locust has enough space for 100 jets. Going to space is about creating a trajectory where higher point of ballistic trajectory is at orbital altitude. Upon reaching that altitude thrusters must be fired in forward direction to circularize orbit. So you turned a Locust into a small ICBM.
