That was a fun interview with someone who seems to embody warmth and grace.
@Sara Rossborough-Muhammad my, my aren't we judgemental. Does that make you a "racist". Use a good dictionary (like Merriam-Webster Dictionary or The Oxford Dictionary) if you know how to use one and find the definitions of Ignorant and Stupid. There seems to be some misunderstanding of these three words.
Because she has a fascinating story to tell.
Lovely lady. Tells the story with dignity and honesty
What a genuine and incredible woman 👩!
Read her novel. Wished it didn't end. She did a beautiful job! I could listen to her stories all day. I want to visit her Island for 2 months!!
I have picked this book up numerous times but never end up buying it, will have to check it out. Didn't actually know that she was an author.
I have enjoyed lady Glenconner’s fascinating book twice. I agree it was beautifully written and a fascinating read.
Amazing book, poor Anne has had quite a difficult life, she just gets on with it. No complaining (If only Harry could do the same)
What a lovely lady. Interesting interview and information and not the least bit nasty. Very down to earth, indeed.
Many years ago, I was at a Fair held in a large field at the front of The Glen, the Tennants Scottish home, and we could see Princess Margaret and friends sitting on the patio, drinking cocktails. I was amazed at how small Princess Margaret actually was. It was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed our time at the event. .......old Tich.
Great memories 💕🥰
I think the Queen Mother was barely 5 foot tall. Her Majesty isn't very tall, either.
What a pleasant person, had only positive things to say about everyone.
Classy.
yes, pure elegance of high value people

Delightful story. Loved the name bits at the end. Watching from Nova Scotia, Canada!! XO
An exceptional Lady.
Wonderful to watch!!
What a hoot!!!😘💞💕💞
WOW this lady is 88? She sure doesn't look it. I wouldn't put her past 70 at the oldest. Wonder what her skin care routine is.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. At the first frame, I wondered how she could be working with Princess Margaret generationally wise.
@@stephanieburns4560 Remember Princess Margaret was only 72 when she died, and was younger than the Queen.
It ain’t gin & tonic !
@@allycollyer3961 Her skin secret routine is probably DNA, good genes as it is with most women whose faces do not age per primem.
she (or quite possibly he) will have done adrenochrome with HIS majesty the queen,
She seems like a really wonderful lady. Great knowledge and stories.
I look forward to reading this book! Growing up, I learned a great deal from my late grandmother, whom adored Princess Margaret Rose! Thanks for such a positive clip!
I can remember, Princess Margaret was always referred to as Margaret Rose.
My aunt would always speak about what a great beauty Margaret Rose was! And we are Irish Catholics.
@@PS_testing321... My mother is Irish. Catholic of course. I am 61 and my first doll was named Margaret Rose. I’m a Kiwi.
I read her book, it was fascinating
She's lovely. She didn't chat crap about Harry and Meghan, which is refreshing.
Or anyone else of m & h importance for that matter. Irrelevant

Me too! A fascinating visit to the island. Pity it was only for one day! I had lunch at Basil’s Bar, and swam on the beach right next to it, I actually changed behind the bar as the man turned the other way!! Then we were driven around the whole of the Island and I swam again, at Macaroni Beach. Absolute bliss.

I love the banter among these three. Lady Glenconner seems like a wonderful person to spend quality time or "lime" (as we say in my country of Trinidad & Tobago, it means the same thing🤣). The hosts are bubbly too. 😁😁😁

can imagine the type of parties they had on that island , hmmm!!
Very dull infantile boring parties where the only person meant to enjoy themselves is a spoilt kings daughter, who probably was as bored as them.. those types are so immature & annually retentive ,bowing scraping & fawning grovelling around minor royals, living vicariously through them,or in the reflection of their glory.
Yuk!.. I drown myself rather than be stuck on an island with those bores.
@@misiasert1348 haha well said , me too, :)
@@misiasert1348 how do you know ?
I love Lady Glenconner, she is a gem.
In case anyone is interested, the daughters of Earls, Marquesses, and Dukes are "Lady First Name Last Name". Lady Glenconner is the daughter of the Earl of Leicester, so she was Lady Anne Coke before her marriage. She married Lord Glenconner (a Baron) so she became Lady Glenconner, dropping the Lady Anne (that is the custom because it is more prestigious to actually be a Baroness, Countess, Marchioness, or Viscountess rather than just being the daughter of a nobleman).
Daughters (and sons) of Viscounts and Barons are styled "The Honourable First Name Last Name" rather than "Lady First Name Last Name".
The eldest son and heir to Dukes, Marquesses, and Earls uses the Duke/Marquess/Earl's second highest title (these families are all ancient and have been granted many titles over the centuries, through service/friendship to the government/monarch and through marriage). The younger sons of Dukes and Marquesses are "Lord First Name Last Name". The younger sons of Earls are "The Honourable First Name Last Name".
It pisses me off when i see people defend these royals who enacted racist colonialism and land grabbing on black and brown countries world wide by force only racist defend and like the royals and there racist legacy
@@ddman10001 how ignorant you are. That’s in the past and has nothing to do with the ones living now. It’s like saying all germans are nazi because you know, there was Hitler. And that actually is still way more recent than all you’ve mentioned above. Stop with this victimhood and hate srly

What a lovely and discreet woman. A beauty in her youth, and pleasant and charming today!
I'm British and I don't understand why she doesn't go by Lady Anne Glenconner? She says that would mean she was the daughter of an Earl - Her father was the 5th Earl of Leicester!
Doesn’t she she mean it indicates that she’s the daughter of Earl Glenconner? (But her husband is a Baron, yes?) If that’s the case, she could be address as Lady Anne Leicester?

When I was 16, I went on a youth weekend. Princess Margaret was patron of some youth charity and came to visit us and we all had lunch with her. Firstly, we were kept waiting ages because she was having pre lunch drinks. Secondly, she smoked all the way through lunch and finally, put her lipstick on at the table without a mirror and let's just say, she didn't do the best job! It was all a bit strange! ✌

Believe me the word "toilet" is never mentioned in aristocracy speak. It's Lavatory.
Absolutely correct! My late mother hated the word toilet, so common! It was always lavatory in our house.
I agree myself.
I thought they at times called the Lue.
My family used the word rest room, some the bath room.
Ahem...Ina America it's referred to as the washroom or bathroom.... what's the difference a toilet is a toilet. No matter whether it's in Japanese, Dutch, French, English or German... The name ain't gonna change the object in question..... hahaa.
