Thanks for this overview of the initiative deck. I didn't get it as part of my KS pledge, but will probably have to work to acquire a deck now. Very cool.
Looking forward for my pledge to arrive... The initiative deck was a large unknown to get or not for me. Got it in the end anyways and after seeing some reviews of it, I'm really glad I ordered one :-)
Back in the day US soldiers got "visual aircraft recognition" playing cards. I would have loved to have seen these work like that. With each card depicting different Mechs associated with each House. Lighter Mechs being the lower number values and working up assault Mechs for the face cards and a House seal for the Ace. It wouldn't have been that hard to find a Company worth of 12 Mechs associated with each House. Not counting Quads there's 53 Mechs in TRO 3025 plus another 7 from TRO 3050 to round things out and get to 60. That's such a missed opportunity there.
There was actually a BattleTech product like that in the 90s, it was a deck of cards with art for various units from TRO 3050 on one side and technical details on the back.
