Nerissa, I so enjoy your flosstubes - you are one of my very favorites to watch! A warm hello and thank you for the inspiration, from Minnesota in the U.S.!
A lovely visit as always. Loving your sampler starts. Your two framed stitching are so beautiful and made me realise that I must get back stitching ‘ Lillies of the field’. Blessings and happy stitching.
I absolutely love seeing your framed stitching! So so beautiful! Thank you for sharing all of your wips and finishes. It's a pleasure and inspiration with each new video to see what you've accomplished.
Enjoying all of your new starts and your new framed pieces are just gorgeous. It always makes me want to get Memories of the Past when you show it but now doubly so now that it is framed, maybe for the new year start! Happy Stitching :)
thank you. I am having a lot of fun starting all these new samplers. You will enjoy stitching memories of the past it was a lovely stitch. Happy stitching
Hi Nerissa. Your newly framed pieces are stunning and the sampler wall behind you is just amazing! I'm having so much fun participating in your stash sampler sal. I love picking out a sampler that has just been sitting in my stash and starting a new project each week! Thanks for another wonderful video. Happy Stitching:)
Thank you so much! I am so happy that you are enjoying the stash sampler Sal. I am finding it hard to put down each new start, because they are so, lovely to work on. I then start the next one and I am so happy.
Hi Nerissa! I love every one of your wips and future wips. Your wall with the new addition is awesome. I don't know how do you it, but you are very talented! Happy Stitching!
Narissa your stitching just blows my mind! It is incredible and the sampler’s that you’ve done just awesome. Also all your memorabilia is on your wall. Wow! I love watching your channel and seeing what you’re doing. How many hours a day or week do you stitch? Can’t wait for the next video. Take care.
Thank you so much! I love the process of stitching and enjoy seeing my finished pieces on the wall and around my place. I work full time, but I have an empty nest. (grown up Children) So, my time is my own and I stitch every morning for 30 minutes before leaving for work. then another couple of hours in the evening. I am able to spend a few days stitching at home all day.
I just love listening to you 😊 And your stunning pieces … well ….. they are beautiful… I’m also impressed you speak out how you use DMC ❤ I also use it often, but if I’m going to buy special threads … it’s going to be silks :-)) as money 💰 allows. Love your new starts..♥️ I can’t wait to see “I had a Father” love this, I hat count are you using, 46ct I’ll bet :-)) Blessings Ohio 🇺🇸here 😊
Thank you so much. I love using dmc. The colours are beautiful and it always stitches up nice. I save my silk purchases for the special projects. ie - I had a father kind and true, yes I am stitching her on 46 count fox and rabbit fabric. Happy stitching Nerissa
Lovely framed projects. Beautiful walls of samples. First time catching your channel and thoroughly enjoyed it. How many hours a day do you stitch? I have stitched about five to six hours and feel like I didn't make much progress. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Linda, thank you for watching . I stitch for 30-60 minutes in the morning before going to work , then anything from 3- 5 hours an evening. I have an empty nest now that my child have grown and left home, so I have a lot of spare time to stitch . If it is a horrible day outside, I can spend the whole day stitching. I have days where I look at my stitching and feel like I have gotten nowhere with it. Happy stitching Nerissa
Oh Nerissa you are a terrible enabler! LOL I loved the new intro showing off your sampler walls and Mira wall! So much pretty in one place! I need to widen my horizons for fabric, so I’ll be looking at some of your recommendations, and if I have to eat two minute noodles and bread and butter well, it wont kill me given I too am a “big girl” LOL - take care, Nic x
Hi Nic, thank you for watching. I got a new editing program for making them, it was a bit easier to use. expanding your choices of fabric is exciting. happy stitching. Nerissa
Oh my, what can i say about your samplers. LOVE LOVE LOVE them all. Please tell me how you stitch so fast. I'.ve just been stitching samplers for about three years. Don't know why i didn't start sooner. If i may ask. How much do you have to pay foe DMC were your at? Wish i lived close to you so i could come to your house an just gaze at your beautiful stitching. Great video.
Thank you so much! I am a fast stitcher; I have been stitching for 40 years. I stitch anything from 2.5 hours to 6 hours a day. In New Zealand we pay on average $1.60 - $2 for Dmc thread. Happy stitching Nerissa
I was just wondering about the price of your threads. Things here in states are really going up. Fabric, threads and patterns. I don't have a LNS near my. Order a lot from 123 Stitch. I've been stitching 25 years.
Great video as always, so inspiring! I’ll be interested to know if you will be stitching that outer red border on Elizabeth Furniss. I’m enjoying stitching these samplers from stash! Great idea!
thank you, I am also enjoying starting all of these samplers. I have had a good look at the Elizabeth Furniss pattern, and I am not going to stitch the red boarder. I will be start her on Tuesday next week. Happy stitching, Nerissa
I am in awe of your lovely work. Your samplers are beautiful and beautifully finished. I am just amazed that you have accomplished so much. I am inspired to do 8 starts for August and September. I have a bit of a late start.
Thank you so much. I love stitching, especially samplers, I love seeing the samplers come to life. It still amazes me what we can accomplish with needle and thread. Happy stitching
The sampler wall behind you is truly amazing… but then again the walls of stitching shown in your introduction are equally impressive!!❤. I have a question about the sampler in the second row directly behind you. It is the second from the right, second row down. What is the sampler and what fabric did you stitch it on? I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.😊. Love all of your starts and plans. Looking forward to your next video!😊
Thank you so much 😀If it is the sampler with the red house that one is called, The Redhouse Sampler by the sampler company. A beautiful sampler to stitch. Hope that is helpful, let me know if it is nor the correct one. Happy stitching Nerissa
Your framed pieces look amazing! Your walls of samplers and stitched pieces is so inspirational, and of course, beautiful. Russian Caramel from Number12 is such a delicious and versatile colour, def need more of that in stash. Question, do you buy new DMC skeins for each project? Also what happens to the thread drops once you're done with a project?
thank you, Zeb. Russian /caramel is a beautiful colour of fabric. I love it for many samplers. In answer to your question about the dmc. I buy new skeins of Dmc if there is a lot required for a piece, etc. multiple skeins recommend in the design. Dye lot can change slightly. I store my Dmc threads in snack lot bags inside an old dresser, The leftovers go into there just the same as all of my dmc threads (drops, bobbins and new skeins).
I love love your wipes, and sampler wall, Mira wall, I am amazed that you have accomplished so much, are you stitch in hand or use hoops? Happy stitching!!!
Thank you so much. I mostly stitch in hand. I use a small hoop when I am doing any 1 over 1 stitching. I have a couple of wips in scroll rods. Happy stitching
Hello, I am newly subscribed and love your work...wow. Question, I loved and looked up your Rose Wreath by Gigi R and could not find it anywhere. Could you give me more information about the pattern? Thank you and you have amazing pieces.. thanks
Hi , thanks for watching. It really depends on the piece and if it is holding my interest. So I could stitch on everyday, and others I can only stitch a small section each time. I love them all and really just enjoy the process of stitching. On average I would say it is about 2 months for a large sampler and about 3 months for the extra large ones- if I stitched only on one at a time. Happy stitching Nerissa
@@nerissasstitchinglifestyle thank you! It is encouraging to know that these large pieces aren’t done in just a few weeks. I believe I am a slow stitcher, but still I forget that these collections were stitched over numerous years regardless.

Love your stitching; so neat and tidy. How long does it take you to finish a large piece?
