I loved your first video! It was so relaxing and perfect for my late night stitching! I like the variety of your projects. Your Manning wips are beautiful...my favorite one was the opal one. I'll like watching your progress on those. Lisa's bouquet....wow! Just perfect! And your Louise Lalier sampler is just stunning! For your seasons, I like your ideas of putting in Spring, winter, autumn and summer. The moon on spell of the moon looks great...want to see that one again. Your MJK one is a masterpiece...definitely frame it! I know I'm leaving some out but they were all so great...oh, your house...wow! The detail is out of this world, huh?! I grew up in Michigan but now living in the Denver area. I too love lilacs!! Thanks soon much for sharing your craft. I will be back for more. Happy stitching from Colorado!
Thanks for your awesome video podcast...love Carolyn Manning too...thanks for all you shared...I love a Whip Parade...wishing you the best BARB and happy stitching ❤
Your videos are EXCELLENT. I love that you get into the cross stitch straight away, and, wow, your wips are beautiful. Look forward to making my way through all your videos. Thank you for great content.
Congratulations on your maiden Flosstube! Your first video was fabulous. Before unplugging from most social media sources, I followed your IG and was so impressed with the beauty of your stitches on every piece shown there. Each stitch is absolutely perfect laid. I’m not surprised that your video presentation is also so well done. I have several Carolyn Manning designs, including three Shooting Star designs and one Granny is no Square 2. You’ve made me want to drop what I’m doing to work on one of them, while also wanting to locate some of the beautiful patterns you shared. I think the length of the video was great and especially enjoy your pleasant voice and speech cadence. I’m looking forward to your next presentation and thank you for giving of your time to share your talent with the stitching community.
Wonderful first video. Welcome to the FlossTube community. Your stitching is beautiful and you have a wonderful variety of projects. I look forward to more videos. Take care.
Love your patterns, especially your Carolyn manning ones. Beautiful work! Im turning 50 this year and Bohemian Bliss is my birthday project. The company that made Quaker’s pride, if I’m not mistaken, now has an English option when navigating and shopping in their website. Happy stitching!
I am working on the Halloween Hijinx pattern. Just started so half way thru the first page; I had seen this started by another stitcher. I am so glad you explained about the Dear Jane quilt. I have that quilt pattern, though I have never started because I moved. Now I see that quilt in this project. The triangle borders make the quilt. Your stitching is lovely. I love the bouquet, and maybe it doesn't need outlined. I'm an old cross stitcher and newer patterns often omit that. The three threads make everything stand out without the backstitching. Without the backstitching, it looks painted. I've subscribed, so looking forward to following your videos.
Thank you so much! I’m not a quilter but that Dear Jane pattern blows me away! I did consider not doing the backstitching on the floral piece, but there are definitely some areas where it needs it. It shouldn’t be too bad!!
Excellent video...one where I will be going back to view with pen/paper in hand! I hope to begin Ann Grimshaw in 2024...just got to decide on fabric. I appreciate hearing your comments on Legacy Linen. It's my favorite. I first started stitching on linen after a visit to The Attic where I bought a large 37 ct piece as suggested by Jean. I 'knew' your first pieces it was a Gloria & Pat!--being nearly a monochromatic piece was a blessing for you! I like how you mention the background on the Halloween chart from the Dear Jane quilt. (as a quilter, and a 'Jane' I'm very familiar with it - but possibly others are not). I like your insight on when a chart has lots of backstitching that using Aida keeps it neater/more square. I look forward to more videos! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Barb. Greetings from Massachusetts! I watched your wonderful Flosstube today and really enjoyed seeing your many projects. I particularly liked the Ginger & Spice piece, Liza’s Bouquet. The design and color saturation really made the stitching stand out. Thank you for being brave and creating your video and I look forward to seeing more of your stitching.
You have so many different, but awesome patterns!!! Love it!!! :) Welcome to the Flosstube world, dear! You seem like you're doing it for years :) For the fabric you love so much... sometimes it helps, if you can go to a local cross stitch store... some of the stuff really can tell you just by seeing the fabric what and from which company it is. Maybe you can give it a try? For Historische Stickmuster.... they just updated their website one or two weeks ago and now you can change the language into english. :) Maybe that's a little help for the future, too. Couldn't finish your video, 'cause I've to go now, but will watch the rest tommorrow... so you'll see another comment from me then, too. Until then I wish you a wonderful day and evening and Happy Stitching!
Loved seeing your WIPS! Don't worry so much about the length of your video, the content was well worth the time! I subscribed and am looking forward to your next episode!
I enjoyed your first video and seeing your active WIPs! I especially enjoyed the Carolyn Manning designs. I'm also attracted to the Shooting Star patterns, but I'm currently working on Powdered Petals. "Comfort stitching" is right when it comes to her designs! I just subscribed, so looking forward to future videos!
I really enjoyed your flosstube. You don't need to apologize for being long ALL wip parades are long. You have so many beautiful projects. I mean really stunning. My husband was walking by your big floral wip (sorry I don't remember the name) and he stopped and asked if that was really stitched or was it a painting. he's right, it was beautiful. So thank you for sharing all your fun things. I look forward to your next video. Happy stitching :)
It was so nice to see you had started a flossstube! I always enjoy your Instagram posts so this was an added pleasure. It was nice to see someone else with a lot of wips too. I did notice you saying you pretty much loved every wip and that's exactly how I feel about mine. Hurry back!
Just watched your first video and really enjoyed it. I've hit the Subscribe button so that I can keep up with you. I really like the fact that you have a variety of different styles. I look forward to seeing what else you're going to be doing.
I enjoyed your video. Beautiful work! I do very little cross stitching, I mostly quilt now and I see with all the Carolyn Manni patterns you love, quilting maybe something you might like to do in the future!
@@stitchbrat You're welcome! What I would do to have a little cross stitch shop near me. There were a few but they are gone. Floss Tube brought cross stitching back better than ever. I have enough patterns to have my own store now lol. Its like a candy shop out there now. I've learned to stitch on linen now too...which back then was much harder. The fabrics now are so much easier to see and much nicer quality. I am so happy it's back. It's my happy place for sure. :)
Absolutely delighted with your video! Really enjoyed all the back stories to each project. I love CM Shooting Star patterns. I’ve bought many of them but only have one started. Maybe it’s time to remedy that. I’m also collecting her Grandma’s Jewelry Boxes and my dream is to turn each one into a biscornu. I’m very fond of vintage patterns from the 1990’s & early 2000’s. “For the Love of Cross Stitch” was my favourite magazine back then. You have a wonderful array of projects & I’m looking forward to your future videos 🙋♀️🇨🇦
Thank you so much!! As you can tell, the Shooting Star designs are my favorites! And I’m getting the jewelry box charts too! I have call the beads and everything. I was thinking I might make them into Christmas ornaments! Love the biscornu idea!
I was so excited to see you made a video! I'm with you when you say Carolyn Manning Designs is your comfort stitching. It is mine too. I have several started & several more to go. I want to stitch mine in various sizes & finish them on square canvases for my bedroom. I have the more colorful Grannie is No Square, but I haven't let myself start it yet. I love your Ginger and Spice. I haven't seen that one. I have collected almost all of the American Sampler Series.
@@stitchbrat okay, so this may be crazy, but I was thinking about stitching my granny on 11 count with 4 strands so it's a statement piece. What do you think?
Best first video! I’m just getting started and loved seeing all of your beautiful work. I like your idea to stitch the seasons on your piece with the Ecclesiastic verse. I think that would be very fitting and beautiful.
Great job on your first video. You have such a wide variety of pieces, and I'm looking forward to seeing your next video. Now I'll pop over to IG and follow you there as well.
Hello from France I just découvert your vidéo and I have seen all - à réel pleasure because your work is wonderfull. Perhaps we bave the same age so many many hours of brodery ,,,. I love your choice of models. Many tanks. Kind regards.Janine
Lovely video! Do any of the following quotations fit in your Seasons box: "Silence at the proper season is wisdom, and better than any speech." (Plutarch). "Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand." (Mother Theresa). "Love, all alike, no season knows, nor clime, nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time." (John Donne) Good luck!
You are wonderful! Instant subscriber . I love your choice of patterns. I’m particularly smitten with that Darwin letter. I would love to stitch that kind of thing. My type of flosstube. I love calm, relaxing podcasts. Just like a friend sharing their stuff with you. I loved every minute. It’s perfect.
Congrats on your 1st video. I am also a quilter and you are indeed correct that the quilt is called Dear Jane. It is recreated by Brenda Papadakis and is a quilt by Jane Stickle. I made the quilt and now I want to stitch the Halloween cross stitch. So fun.
I’m so glad I came across your video. You have a very interesting selection of projects and they are beautiful. I look forward to seeing your progress in another video. 😀🇦🇺
Your first flosstube was as if you've been doing this for years! Great job. I immediately subscribed and hit the notification bell so I won't miss any future videos of yours. I love Carolyn Manning's designs and did purchase a pattern and after watching you, I now think I have enough courage to actually start it. Thank you!
Wonderful video! I, too, am a big Carolyn Manning fan because of the geometric designs and beautiful colors. Currently working on her patterns "French Braid" and "Chameleon." Recently purchased her pattern "Granny's Joy" and will start it in August fory birthday start. I hope you will continue to make videos. Your calm style is a joy to watch. Thank you--from another Michigander.
Your flower bouquet is stunning! I pray you complete and frame! Would you please share the process of how you dyed with walnut ink? I have some crystals and would love to try. I've dyed a bunch using Rit.
Great flosstube! Boy howdy did you enable me with the CM designs. I already have a couple but you just pushed me over the edge on the Halloween one. (That's not the only one I ordered)
Great first video. Your oldest WIP is gorgeous as is. Does it really need the backstitching? And a quote that I have always loved that goes along with the idea of changing seasons (in life) is this one from Pastor Chuck Swindoll: “Change is inevitable but growth is intentional .”
Thank you so much! The quote is great! The piece does need the backstitching on certain areas. I considered not doing it, but it will look better with it.
Wonderful video, i enjoyed your projects immensely. Of course, I had to go straight over to Hannah Stitching Designs and get Darwin Sampler for myself, such a delightfully pessimistic quote! I also really like the a cancer ribbon mandala. I want to do a pancreatic cancer tribute piece in memory of my mother who lost her batter December 26, 2013. I found one that i kitted up, but I think i like yours better.
Thank you for the kind words! I just love that Darwin sampler!! I really like the cancer ribbon mandala too, and I like that it’s small. It could be used in lots of ways. I might make a needle book out of mine and stitch my friends’ initials on the back. ❤️❤️❤️
I immediately thought of just listing the seasons instead of the months of the year when you showed your piece. (sorry I forgot the name of the piece).
I was absolutely thrilled to see you filmed a floss tube. I enjoy following you on Instagram. Love all of your projects! I too love Carolyn Manning!!!!! Great job on your first video. It was awesome 😊 Looking forward to many more. Don’t apologize for length. Enjoyed every minute ❤
Great first video! Don’t worry about making them long, a lot of us enjoy movie length features. 😁 I’m subscribed and looking forward to your next update. Happy stitching! -Leah Noel
Hi from North Georgia. I have subscribed. I follow you on Instagram so I am excited to see your work on UA-cam. You did so well. I like the variety of your projects. We have that in common. I am an Aida stitcher. 16 count with two threads is my preference. I want to know the story behind your name choice, Stitchbrat. Maybe next video?
Great first video! Loved all your pieces! You enabled me months back to join the historic house SAL so much so that I finished my Florida House! Looking forward to seeing more videos! You almost have me convinced to try a Carolyn Manning Design. LOL❤
What a wonderful video! Please do more!! Loved seeing all of your beautiful projects and you have such a pleasant voice to listen to while I’m stitching. And, I love longer videos 😊
Hello again :) First of all... I hope I'm not too early, but with July almost over I hope I'm not... so, Happy Birthday to youuuuu!!! -sing- You don't need to apologize at all for the length of the video. Tbh, I truly enjoy longer videos, 'cause it gives me time to stitch, hear you talking, watching the pieces you work on and just sit back and relax, without the need to put on a new video every few minutes. For me that's perfect ^^ And I would have listened to and also watched you for hours more, 'cause you have so many to say about every piece and sometimes it's the little things I don't think about and then you mentioned it and I think yeah... that's really cool. :) So, keep going and don't let the time limit you. :) I really love the Luca-S kit you have... haven't seen that until now, but it's beautiful! Also... the mosaic glass or Tiffany glass pattern you do... so, so beautiful. Love that style very much and am excited to see your progress on that (put the pattern on my -maybe- wishlist, 'cause I really just need to see how it looks stitched up. Don't know why, but I never have enough imagination to see the stitched up version, if just a digital rendering is shown, but that's on me. For now I wish you a wonderful rest of the week and also a great weekend. Looking forward to your next video. :) All the best from Germany, Leezet
Congrats on your first Flosstube-you did great! I so enjoyed so many of your projects, many of which I’m familiar with from IG. We have a lot in common in our stitching journey (starting at a similar point, laying our stitching away for a period of time for work and family, and things we like (lilacs, purple, CM, and vintage country mocha to name a few). And I was impressed that you inserted photos! I really hope this was one of many flosstubes to come!
You've made an awesome start! Your stitching is lovely and your design choices are impressive as is your ability to insert pictures on your first video. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Hope you have a Happy Birthday!
Great job on Floss tube #1….love it! On the seasons piece, have you tried to stitch the months one over one so they would be smaller? Or just naming the seasons would be good also. You do wonderful stitching!

Your first flosstube was as if you've been doing this for years! Great job. I immediately subscribed and hit the notification bell so I won't miss any future videos of yours. I love Carolyn Manning's designs and did purchase a pattern and after watching you, I now think I have enough courage to actually start it. Thank you!
Thank you so much!! You will love stitching that Carolyn Manning!!
Thank you so much!! Off to look up French Braid!!
Loved seeing all of your beautiful projects! Glad I found your first Flosstube.
Thank you so much!
Your flower bouquet is stunning! I pray you complete and frame!
Would you please share the process of how you dyed with walnut ink? I have some crystals and would love to try. I've dyed a bunch using Rit.
Thank you so much!! I’ll make a note to talk about the walnut crystals in my next video!!
Great flosstube! Boy howdy did you enable me with the CM designs. I already have a couple but you just pushed me over the edge on the Halloween one. (That's not the only one I ordered)
Thank you, and yay! Her designs are so fun!!
And I am so sorry about your mom. Having that anniversary around a holiday makes it extra hard.
Great first Flosstube! So many beautiful projects. Look forward to seeing your next one.
Thank you so much!!
I immediately thought of just listing the seasons instead of the months of the year when you showed your piece. (sorry I forgot the name of the piece).
Thank you, I may end up doing that!
Thank you so much!! ❤️💜❤️💜

Thank you!! I’m going to try!!
Great first video! Don’t worry about making them long, a lot of us enjoy movie length features. 😁 I’m subscribed and looking forward to your next update. Happy stitching! -Leah Noel
Thank you so much! I actually like long videos too, but boy, I felt like I was blathering on!
Thank you so much!! Yes, I’ll definitely tell the stitchbrat story next time!!
You did a great job on your first flosstube! Don’t worry about looking at your notes. I’d love to see your other wips.

Great first video! Loved all your pieces! You enabled me months back to join the historic house SAL so much so that I finished my Florida House! Looking forward to seeing more videos! You almost have me convinced to try a Carolyn Manning Design. LOL❤
Thank you so much! The house SAL has been so fun, so happy you joined in!! You definitely need to try a CM!!
Oh Barb Happy Birthday!!!

Thank you so much!
Hello again :)
First of all... I hope I'm not too early, but with July almost over I hope I'm not... so, Happy Birthday to youuuuu!!! -sing-
You don't need to apologize at all for the length of the video. :)
I really love the Luca-S kit you have... haven't seen that until now, but it's beautiful! Also... the mosaic glass or Tiffany glass pattern you do... so, so beautiful.
All the best from Germany,
Leezet
Thank you so much for all your kind comments!!
Congrats on your first floss tube you did awesome and I love all your projects looking forward to your next one
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the encouraging words! And no one was more amazed than me that I figured out the photo thing!
Welcome to Flosstube! Love your Reflets. Happy birthday month!
Thank you!!!
You've made an awesome start! Your stitching is lovely and your design choices are impressive as is your ability to insert pictures on your first video. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Hope you have a Happy Birthday!
Thank you so much! I was amazed I was able to figure out the inserting pictures thing!
Great job on Floss tube #1….love it! On the seasons piece, have you tried to stitch the months one over one so they would be smaller? Or just naming the seasons would be good also. You do wonderful stitching!
Thank you so much!! I did think about doing the months 1x1 and that would totally work, but I’m kind of intimidated to do the charting!!
Great job 🎉🎉🎉! Can't wait to see your progress on your WIPS.
Thank you so much!
Hello 👋🏻 Congratulations with the first video 🌷Nice to see you 😊
Thank you so much!
@@stitchbrat ❤️
Loved this so much. Your WIPs are beautiful. Look forward to your next episode. You make me want to start a Carolyn Manning piece.
Thank you so much! You should definitely start one!!
