Mr. Viktor did an exceptional job with this video. I have watched quite a few automotive repair/installation videos and they can be helpful. But this video is way beyond that, it is critical to a successful installation of RX350 mudflaps. I got some for my wife's RX at the parts counter thinking they would be easy to install. I got the mudflaps and hardware, but they didn't include any instructions in the box. If you watch this video you will see there is no way to know what parts to remove, which screws to use and where, the installation location of the differing screw clips, where the front mudflap spacers go, ... Mr. Viktor did a really good job describing the sequence of steps, he was efficient and didn't waste time rambling on, and made my installation process go smoothly and turn out good. His accent is also pleasant.
Hey Viktor, I value you time and effort, excellent communication, concise to the point. How is the mud guard installation for 2010-2015 RX350? Thank you!
Hi Victor, THANKS for doing this great work! Question: The 2020-22 rear bumper is different from a 2016-2019. Will the instructions/install be the same ?
Great video Mr. Viktor! A quick unrelated question, could you please describe or share how to remove the cup holder on 2020 RX450hL rear captain seats? The OEM part is easy to find, but there is just no installation instruction I could find. Thanks in advance!
I looked into it and the 2nd row seat cupholder is just held on by clips. Open the cupholder and then pull it outwards and upwards to disengage the clips and remove the assembly.
Viktor thanks for the video can you plase explain where the front inserts go. Is it between the mud guard and the plastic molding, or the plastic molding and the wheel well? I purchased a set for my 2022 RDX 350 and need to install them.
@@BinkyCA if you are in the Calgary area, I possibly could. Otherwise, there’s not much I can do. These type of things need to be done in person, if I don’t have your vehicle here, there’s no way for me to know what exactly needs to be done.
@@BinkyCAThe models without fog lights are often pre-wired for the lights themselves. However, it will not have the fog light setting on the light control switch, so you would need to replace that part, along with installing any missing relays and anything else that is required. On all Lexus models, the fog lights go off automatically when high beams come on and also go off when low beams turn off, so there is a fair bit of integration going on. It would take a lot of time digging through wiring diagrams and investigating things to know exactly what would be involved in installing factory functioning fog lights on your model. This is a one-off type of a job that we would never do at the dealership. If that were my car and I really wanted to do it, it would be possible, but again, the amount of time and expense is unknown. You could install the factory fog light assemblies/bulbs and run your own wiring to them and install an aftermarket switch to control them, that would probably be the easiest way.
Does this process end up screwing into any metal components? If so, should precautions be taken to prevent any rust development in those screw holes? Thank you for all your excellent videos :)
Hi Victor I watched your 2023 NX installation but it doesn't appear that 2023 RX is similar. 2023 RX front has no push pins at all to remove on inside fender. It might have push pin under not sure of that yet. Any input? @@Viktor_G_Automotive
@@TheAbsoluteParty All the new RX models in Canada come with the mud guards pre-installed from factory, so I have not had the experience of installing a set. I am sure you will be able to figure it out, just line up whatever holes in the mud guards with the fender and fender liner and either install screws/clips or push pins as needed.
