I think he's misunderstanding this book. I read it and he's outlining key components of minimum defense frequency and how crucial frequencies are. He is NOT saying that's all there is to poker. It's a baseline to START from. But then you adjust per player type, game type, board texture, # of villains in the hand, etc. But I can assure you at lower stakes almost everyone folds too easily and bluffs too infrequently. I've bet $10 on the river into a $100 pot and gotten folds more times than I can count with literally any two cards. They could call me 70% of the time and I'm still printing money (they need to call 91% of the time).
