Same. It's a me thing I know, but it was clearly not even live. let alone a tour performance. It's a shame as seeing the proper performance for the first time is a great reaction
@@dopamine_fiend I think your username says it all. It’s gotten to the point where I get an instant rush of happiness when somebody watches a clip I adore. Fell in the rabbit hole my self 😂 A few weeks ago watched her doc, never knew much about her, heard a few songs now and then. Now cannot get enough of her. She is a brilliant song writer and a great human being ❤
Please get this man I did something bad off the reputation tour (and not the weird AMA mashup one if possible). I Did Something Bad off Reputation Tour is by far the most head-nodding rocking performance I've ever seen. It doesn't matter who you are you can't help but flat-out headbang.
I've never seen a mix with the live version and the video mushed together. I really wish you could've just watched the live version along with the intro. To get the full effect. The video is amazing, though. 😊
Glad you're giving Taylor a go. I think she's magnificent. Taylor started out in country music (not really my thing either) but by her 4th album Red (in 2012) she started to crossover into pop and her 5th album called 1989 is no longer country at all. Her Reputation album i(that this song is from) is magnificent and I really recommend you give it a listen. It was a big departure for Taylor in many ways (and it was written as a big reaction to some horrible things that had been happening to her in her life and career by that point - long story - I recommend her documentary film Miss Americana, which explains a lot). Since then she's released several more albums of varying sounds and styles, including pop, rock, hip-hop, r'n''b, folk and she has thanked her fans for staying loyal to her and allowing her to break outside of the boxes she was originally put in and be able to try out new things she hasn't done before musically. She wouldn't have wanted to forever stay a country artists, even though she clearly enjoys playing some of her old country songs during her shows. She's such a prolific songwriter and great story teller. Her albums Folkore and Evermore (more acoustic and folk sounding that she recorded during Covid Lockdowns) have some great story telling where she's not just singing about her own experiences but she created and wrote about different characters. Lyrically those two albums are realy storybooks. Her live shows, well sadly I've never been to see her live (can't get a ticket for love nor money, lol) but watching the filmed concerts she puts on truly amazing shows. Real spectacles. I love the way her whole Eras tour is devised, the way each era (not in chronological order) featuring several songs from each particular album are like chapters in a book or film performed on stage in such a grand yet emotional and fun way. The Reputation Tour is definitely "right I'm back and I'm taking no s*it from anyone. Call me what you want but I'm doing things my way and I'm stronger aftrer what I've been through and if you don't like my new sound and style well F**k You". Or words to that effect, lol! I think she's a great model and she seems to have fans of all ages, she appeals to any age. She's a great entertainer and has such a fun sense of humour too. Her music videos are a must watch too, they're epic. Try out Look What You Made Me Do. Btw yes, this video you've just watched seems to be a mash up of her live performance from the Reputation Tour and scenes from the song's official music video. I've never seen this mash up version before. Definitely check out The Reputation Tour in full, it's a great show. Anyway, as you can see I can't sing her praises highly enough, lol! I was never a fan of her early country stuff (as I said I've never been that keen on country myself, only a few exceptions here and there) so I never really paid a lot of attention to her (although since then I've listened to the early albums and there are some catchy songs on them for sure) but it's the Red album that made me become a fan of hers and each album since then has been such a surprise, a change in direction and full of creativity. Her most recent album Midnights is dark and moody and electronic and very different again. Very introspective. As for her old album re-records I love them because her current singing voice is so much better than when she first recorded them. The early albums anyway. As she's aged her voice has deepened, matured and sounds richer and fuller now. I look forward to you watching and hearing more of this great artist! Yes, I've written War & Peace so I'll go now but honestly, going down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole is a wonderful thing and you don't even have to listen to her first 3 country albums - there's so much other, better Taylor stuff to discover! :)
I never paid attention to her but, fell into a reaction video and was very impressed. Since I have seen several with many from the Reputation album. I think it is the songs from this album that really grabbed me

If you don't look at country artists, you might want to consider looking at the Crossroads (country cable music show) featuring 19yo Taylor and her band on stage with Def Leopard in Nashville; Photograph and Hysteria along with Love Story and other Swift songs, The DVD had interviews and background talks about the fundamentals of rock and country coming from the same roots; and that when you actually look close, Taylor was never a traditional "country" artist. There has always been a tendency for her to play outside the box. And, she got to sing songs older than she was, lol
This is not an official live performance, someone did a mashup of the live performance with the music video. Always go to the artist's channel or EAS channel.

@@darsyniai think they do this for not getting copy right strikes from Taylor's team... that's why a lot of Reputation stadium tour performances from these channels has fan footages inserted in the video which looks like an eye sore when mixed with the official stadium tour cinematography 💀😭
this is an epic song and the intro + ready for it? from the reputation tour are awesome. the only downside is that this video is a mix of the music video for "ready for it?" with some snippets of concert footage mixed in. it doesn't give the full experience. great reaction though!
EAS and others mix other video into the tour film --- to avoid copyright strikes. This has a lot of the music video for the song spliced in; audio is from the tour.
Good reaction and its the first time of seeing this interesting mashup which was a good change. Hopefully you'll do more reactions from her music. On some of her live performances from both 1989 and Reputation world tours she's at the very edge of rock. Fans would love to see her do a rock album. Me? I'm waiting for the re release of the Reputation Album Taylors Version.🎸🎸🎼
The Reputation tour was all songs about her reputation. She took what people said about her & turned it back on them. Some she plays it up & some songs show how ridiculous their nonsense is.
You can rent her movie of her current 'Era's tour' for $20 & I'm sure the views of her are filmed well, because everything Taylor does is top notch. That's what I want to do. She does 44 songs, covering her biggest hits from her entire career so far. Every performance I have caught on UA-cam are spectacular. For another couple amazing songs/videos, you must watch 'Bad Blood' and 'Blank space' Then her10 minute mini movie shows yet another side of her. "All too well" is about her relationship with John Mayer when she was young, or maybe 'Dear John' about John Mayer who also was way too old for her. LOL Then there is a fun one called 'Ya need to calm down' with a great message. ' She is amazing & each of her albums show an entirely different Taylor. She can sing anything.
You think the Rep tour is epic, wait till you start going through the Eras tour. Then she was just about to start planning the Lover tour following the album release when the world went into lockdown, then during lockdown she dropped three more albums and in two weeks from now another album drops. So the Eras tour incorporates all the lockdown releases plus her reclaimed version which is why she’s called it the Eras tour. When the European leg of the tour restarts in May, Tortured Poets will have been out for a fortnight so it’s likely she’ll add the lead single to the set list, the current set list is three and a half hours (40 songs) which includes tracks from the vault from each album that never made it in to the original albums, also an acoustic set where she plays two completely different songs every single concert, also a mashup-up of a couple of songs from different albums, getting tickets are an absolute bloodbath so good luck.
I love her Reputation Tour performances. I used to prefer the EAS channel edits, but I personally don't like mixing the music video with the live performance, like they did here. Swifti Leaks is another channel that has her live performances too. Neither channel is perfect, but I can be pretty picky. They do have to worry about copyrights, so maybe that's why they mix up the edits. Sometimes the edit combines performance footage from more than one show. Of course, using the actual official footage for the tours is the best, but copyright issues with using those too.
