I always think it is much harder to film scale realistic driving for on-road RC vehicles. 1. The surfaces need to be much smoother and flatter to suit the tyres and suspension. 2. By their nature, these models often travel faster than off-road vehicles. 3. At 1:14 scale, it is harder to blend in with scenery than a larger scale model and the backgrounds need careful selection. Do you think it is better to find a real road surface for such videos? What are your thoughts and do you have any filming tips?
I have a question about the Tamiya King Hauler kit. I would like to assemble a corresponding kit. I expect to pay around 550.00 to 600.00 euros for the kit. I always read in all kits that a "Tamiya 56523 Multifunctional Unit 1 Set" is required. Costs approx. 400.00 euros extra. So the complete kit is then around 1000.00 EUR. Is the "Tamiya 56523 Multifunctional Unit 1 Set" really necessary to create a ready-to-run King Hauler?
i must ask, does anyone do a lockable or locked diff kit for these? i ask cus i wanna try for an aussie style road train with one of these, so on rough roads (i live in the middle of nowhere with a county council who pilfer the money for maintaining the roads)
