Can’t do a literal trump voice impression though I think its getting out of hand cause i made some dumb twitter thread on what a presidential debate would be like with youtuber presidents and i was just typing out what some trump-esque type would say and i think i nailed the mannerisms too well cause that post blew up by mistake It’s becoming a serious problem and I don’t know how to stop
Zach and Lyle have the only ones that aren't just there to be political bullshit. The impression is so good but I think it's how they use him which is what really makes it fantastic.

Trump really would be the best to handle first contact with an alien race specifically in the instance where said alien slides down the slide a few too many times.

Recently I put Zach's advice for a Trump impression (make your mouth as tiny as possible except for "A"-sounds, get winded by the end of every sentence, use your hands a lot, speak in weird cadence) to the test and it worked out pretty good

What I find funny about the Trump impressions and jokes that the boys make are that they place him in either goofy ridiculous situations like this or they have it where he’s doing some inane task like trying to find paper towels at the dollar general. It’s none of the “Orange Man Bad” bullshit you see on late night “comedy” shows.

Humor with an agenda is rarely funny.

I feel like the difference is they're finding the humor in it instead of trying to "make a statement" in the smug, self important way that dominates mainstream comedy nowadays. The latter is just someone saying things people want to hear and garner applause just because the audience agrees with the message. It's lazy - not clever or funny. If your joke about a politician is predicated on the absurdity of the individual or situation, most people can laugh at it regardless of which politician it is and what their political alignment is. The Oneyplays crew aren't concerned about making fun of one side as a vehicle to promote another, they're just being teh funny.

Nobody's talking about how Lyle's impression is actually pretty good. To be completely honest, I think Lyle's is more "accurate", specifically the pitch of the voice. But of course, Zach's is still the funniest regardless of accuracy (and it's still damn near perfect).
