It's obvious alone and lonely are 2 different things. I've been alone since my wife passed but I only feel lonely on occasion. Doing what you love brings riches many people never realize. In your travels, Eva, you have met some of the wealthiest people on earth. Beautiful post.
I dont know how this translates....in German we have einsam = lonely and allein = alone. You also can say: All Eins = United with the universe. I love this.
Agreed. Alone means peace, quiet and stress-free to me. But well yes I'm from Finland😉. You have to be ok with yourself and your thoughts to fully enjoy solitude.
The thing about Finnish solitude is that it's liberating. Finns shy away from a lot of social norms as is as they don't really do small talk, they respect your private space and they don't mind the silence at all, but they are absolutely some of the most communal/hospital people out there provided you respect their culture.
@@ancymonek1984 in the middle of a bustling city I can see. My experience is that even in populated areas you can find peace if you know where to look. People rarely pry unless you are open in social settings.
What a amazing experience. The people in Finland you have met seem so real and down to earth. Genuinely happy and at peace in the solitude of nature and their lives.
I've seen all of your videos, not just this one. And I wanted to say that I'm absolutely amazed by your courage, by your inspiring way of life...and also by the beauty of all those places you show us. An amazing experience for you and an irreplaceable inspiration for all of us. Thank you so much...what else can I say? That's all I feel when I see you in my screen: thankfulness. I feel grateful.
Sometimes, this old man sees something that brings a tear to his eye. You took me back +30 yrs to my 10 acres and small house 25 miles north out of town into the northern Minnesota wilderness. Where snow was just as deep and the cold was noticeably further below zero Fahrenheit. No reindeer, but sled dogs were popular. I think the reindeer are better suited with their feet like snowshoes. Plus, you only need one instead of 6 or 8. It's a great life for sure.
I was very impressed with Janita. She is such a strong and beautiful woman. It's so wonderful that she's created her own business and is doing what she loves with her reindeer ❤
Hello Eva. Thanks so much for taking me to meet Janita; I thought I lived an 'off the grid' lifestyle as a self employed musician (I live very frugally) but she was amazing. All the Sami people in your vlogs seem to have a serenity about them; a sense of being at peace with themselves; happy within their own skin. Thank God the same people have survived. Pete Glyde
Oh my goodness, Eva, this episode is so special! I love how kind the people of Finland are. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us! You open the world to people living with physical disabilities, like myself, who may never visit such places yet could live vicariously through your experiences 💖
I love Juanita so much! What she said she went through is exactly what a small business owner does typically go through, and then to go out and prove them wrong, you go girl!! Wishing her much success and lots of visibility from this video so she stays busy. The reindeer and scenery are so beautiul. Honestly, you don't need a van. If you did get a van, you'd miss Odysessy so much! So stick with her. And sunrises, especially after a snow, are so beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and the absolute best!

It would be awesome to get a tour of Aggie and Paul’s place - ie how is the house so warm? Do they grow much of their own food ? Etc can they even grow food up there ?
I moved from Seattle to a small town in the Oregon mountains about 5 years ago. Population 1900, so not super small, but just small enough. The PEACE I have living and working from home in my little community is far greater than anything I ever experienced in a big city. I hike up our local mountain trail almost daily with my dog, I've started taking pottery classes from a local artist in her home studio and am growing my own food in our small community garden. I've recently taken up learning how to ferment and can my harvest for the winter for myself and to share with neighbors. It's a good life. It's also a life that takes some physical work, but it's truly fulfilling. The country/mountian life can be truly wonderful, and of course beautiful because you can't beat the natural beauty and slower life pace that accompanies living close to, and within nature. ❤
Hi Eva, imagining your travels in a van is comforting. The fulfillment in your purpose isn't defined by your means of travel. I'm pretty sure you know this already; Clarity may bring comfort, but if comfort is all you seek, then you will never find clarity. Believing that the modern-day conveniences of Van Life is more or less deserving to YOUR purpose isn't something to fret about. Oprah said, "Become what you believe." If you want a van, I say, find the perfect van for your travels. You deserve it! If you want a horse and chariot, you deserve that, too. Embracing desired changes or choosing to live a life with multiple identities is A-Okay!

Great video, such a good example that solitude does not necessarily mean loneliness. And the music in this video was EXCELLENT, thank you! No subtitles needed :)
There is some positive, strange depth in your films and a hidden subliminal message called HAPPINESS and PEACE... Dzięki za te filmy to coś innego na YT i rzadkiego dające taki fajny spokój w czasie oglądania i odprężenie. Pozdrowienia z Bieszczad.
Greetings from Scotland! Janita is absolutely right! The only person who can really hold you back is YOU! IF you really want anything, then you have to go for it and believe in yourself! 😊 Loneliness is relative, because it is not the quantity of friends you have but the quality of your friends, trust between you and knowing that you will help each other without question or hesitation. My best friend (since my youngest son passed) has always been there for me. I know I can phone him from anywhere in the world and he will try to help me without question and he knows I will do the same for him. We may only meet face to face once in a year but it is always like it was just yesterday we met last. Thank you for a wonderful video Eva! 👍👍😊😊
You're definitely living a dream. Something that I had always wanted to do. I'm American and the first time I went to Europe was with the army, absolutely loved it, this was 99-00. Always wanted to do something like this, but got tied down becoming a husband and father. We now have retired to France, so have started to expand our global travel, but it's not as carefree as something like when you're young. Enjoy yourself.
We are never alone, although we may feel like it many times. The Reindeer park is beautiful. Nicely done video. Thank you kindly for sharing ❤ The snowbunny angel in the snow was fun 😘

Today , we are not so lonely as far as communication is concerned. we have internet. Mindful and Connected is what makes the loneliest place in Europe inviting.
Mission accomplished ! Eva. Be Well. Be Safe! Stay Healthy ! 🙏 Jim , Harriet and Yuki
Great video, such a good example that solitude does not necessarily mean loneliness. And the music in this video was EXCELLENT, thank you! No subtitles needed :)
Went skiing, husky & reindeer sledding in Levi 14 years ago, fabulous place, thanks for the memories!!
It takes a lot of courage to do what you are doing Eva... you are so great..Bravo❤🎉
Cold weather never use to bother me. Now just watching you makes me cold. Hats off to you. Enjoy your videos. ❤❤❤
I know this Levi region quite well, thanks Eva for this video and visiting also Finnish Lapland.
I have a lot of subscriptions on UA-cam, but your videos are the ones I watch every week without fail and look forward to the most.
We are never alone, although we may feel like it many times.
