People are complaining about Scorpio and Xuv petrol mileage they have to check your videos…You showed the real thing…I have seen some videos in which they are saying diesel is giving 20++😂

I am planning to book Thar ROXX. I drive 10k to 12k average per year, mostly city driving and occasional long trips. I have 2 other petrol cars. Also, I have never owned a diesel and i am scared of these DPF issues poping up with many users. I live in Bangalore urban area. Traffic conditions are extremely bad here. What would u suggest, petrol or diesel Thar ROXX if my daily running is upto 30kms per day. Did you face any DPF clogging issues ?

How often do you get DPF Regen required error
I haven’t gotten it even once and now the odo is at 9,000KMS almost.
So I assume it’s at 11-12K Kms. Frankly, not an issue as such.

Sir aapka video bdiya ja rha tha ekdum but aapne jab calculation ki baat ki to vaha thoda upar niche hogya. First of all, the KM for diesel you're recommending for petrol till 1500km per month but yours only below 1200km per month and then you're recommending still I'm good to go for diesel even your claim was for 2000 or more KMs,
Second, rate difference of diesel and petrol is not 1.5 to 2.0Lac it's below 1Lac for every model. Even for some model it's around 50-60k only. D1 segment SUVs don't have much rate difference nowadays. Other than that everything was nice. 🙏

Brother although you are very correct for automatic gear boxes.. we cant do much to increase mileage.. but i have noticed if i keep my AC temperature 25 26 degrees once it is cooled. It increases the mileage by atleast 1 to 2 number

you did good start and with genuine issues. many vloggers stating that the future of deisel is not good and diesel cars can be allowed for 10 years, so choose petrol and drive 15 years.

Yes you can do petrol version of the Scorpio N as well - but average is lower in the petrol variant; with that it’s a good punchy engine.

Hello! thanks for the informative thoughts you shared via video. I am bit confused. I own a Facelifted 2020 Hyundai Creta which gives me easy 16 km/l on highway and 10-13 km/l in city (depending on what time we roam) It's been 4 years and I want to upgrade. My yearly running is around 12K, I clocked 50K in 42 months. The situation:
- I live in Delhi NCR, diesel cars are not valued by govt. they ban anytime entry and exit in the national capital also because of this the resale fear comes what will be the resale of these cars after 4-5 years.
- With the target of 10-12K kms per year, petrol seems feasible but the mileage scares I don want 4 km/l to show on my MID. Some has shown that it gives good mileage if you run softly (below 2K RPM)
- I am confused between Harrier, Scorpio N and XUV. All are class apart but still not able to decide.
Question:
- Can you help in deciding which one should I go considering I already have a futuristic car with Panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, CVT gearbox etc.
- Should I go with diesel or trust on my driving style and go for petrol (i am okay with 10-13 kms/l) and if yes which one will have higher resale value TATA or Mahindra?

To answer your questions :
Answer 1 : If you have seen my videos - I have a XUV 700 MT Petrol and the city average is anywhere between 9-10.5 KMPL while highway mileage is about 13-14 KMP. You need to consider that these 3 cars you’ve picked all have a massive engine that is a 2L Turbo petrol / 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine which is much larger than the creta you drive so average will dip for sure :)
Answer 2 : Go for Manual Petrol and squeeze the mileage out - it’s possible! Resale value of the new Mahindra cars is much superior compared to Tata due to the long Mahindra waiting periods
Finally I feel if you want a rugged SUV then ScorpioN is your way to go but you want feature packed SUV mostly city drive then XUV 700 and Harrier come into the picture. Here I personally feel XUV 700 wins but it’s a personal choice.

Bhaiya confused between z8 diesel manual and auto because of mileage . Some says that auto will give 13 14 in highway even in manali it gives 11??? So much of confusion . And what about manual ??
Hi, see manual will always give more average if you drive well in comparison with an automatic.
Scorpio Diesel AT will give you 13/14 on the highway MT surely 2-3kmpl more.

Problem is not 10years of registration but bigger problem is Traffic police restricts entry in Delhi/NCR on the basis of engine , no matter your vehicle is still having valid registration.
I have brezza diesel BS4 2017 model and from 2020 I get messages near diwali that BS4 is restricted , this pisses me off. And this is happening from past 4 years and this scares alot because there is heavy penalty on this. So in NCR now registration years are not having much relevance and its all upto govt they can ban any engine any time. They might ban BS6 diesel probably in 1 or 1.5 years from now entering in delhi.
15 years matter for resale , and in any case govt bans diesel vehicles and your vehicle in NCR registered specially delhi regd then you will not get any resale value even if you sell after 2 years.
