Joah blurring powder is great too!! I am 40+, have dry skin, fine lines and pores...skin. I have a really, REALLY tough time with setting powder. I look like the Crypt Keeper even after using setting spray. This powder works!! It is great for touch ups too. My husband was impressed. That in itself says a lot.

I found that at walgreens about 2 years ago and it was the ONLY one! It worked pretty good. TIP: get one of those 2 or 4 ounce spray bottles and put the "dose" for the use in the spray bottle. I did that and It was like have almost 2x the product in my hair when I sprayed my hair after ringing out the water then massaging my hair, then spraying more, massaging it more and rinse! Perfect dose and wasted none!
My daughter bought me that wonder water hair stuff for Mother’s Day last year and I truly cannot live without it! I’m surprised that more people on UA-cam don’t talk about it
Thanks for the tip. I'm an Australian grandma and I don't have a lot to spend but I DO like getting value for money. The Wet-n-Wild Halo Highlighter comes in 7 shades at the least. I have 7 in my collection. Between the Ulta and Wet-N-Wild sites, you could find 4 out of 7, but they have all 7 on the Walgreens site as of this post. Just thought I would pass along the info because there are shades for this product that could possibly work on deeper skin tones as well. Love the hair and your videos!
@@jde9711 Ash would be considered cool toned so I would stick to something with a pink undertone (as opposed to yellow). The color Rosy and Ready (305A) would be a good option to complement your skin tone. Depending on your hair and eye color, you may be able to wear a color more neutral, Halo Gorgeous (300). Most shades of this product lean more warm-toned IMO. Besides the two I mentioned, you have a holographic color, one that is pretty neutral but suitable for fair to light skin tones and the other 3 are pretty deep shades and golden. I think that creams/liquids are great for more mature skin. I would also suggest to use this product and apply before your foundation and with a sponge if you would like a more natural glow. A sponge will melt it into the skin more and not leave excess product. I apply it to the back of my hand first which will warm it up and help with blending. Then take the sponge to absorb product from hand and apply to the high-points from there. You can also mute the harshness more by setting it with some colorless/translucent powder. Hope that helps!

I just discovered the Enlive Miracle Water too and I love what it does for my wavy, curly hair. After a year of working from home my hair is Uber healthy and wanted to embrace my naturally wavy, curly hair but I still couldn’t get my curls defined and frizz free. I don’t follow the curly girl methods so I’ve been trying things out. This stuff is my holy grail to get frizz free curls! I want to buy a 100 bottles of this stuff in case they ever stop making it! I’ve even recommended it to my 15 yr nephew who’s trying to embrace his own wavy, curly hair that he’s grown out since he’s had to stay home for school. So glad you like this stuff too!
The new formulation of the Wet N Wild Nude Awakening palette is the best palette I’ve bought in a while. I’ve been reaching for it consistently since purchasing, over my Charlotte Tilbury quads or my Natasha Denona palettes. It’s so good!
Many, many moons ago, L'Oreal Elvive used to make a Moisturizing shampoo that left my long, thick hair looking like I came out of a salon all the time. I bought countless bottles and then they discontinued it!😢 But that Hair smoother reminds of that shampoo. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks a million Risa!!! 🥰 Besos 💋💋
The L'Oreal Wonder Water is definitely a game changer for my hair too! And such a steal at the drugstore, other brands sell for triple the price or more! I was reading up on the technology because I was curious how it works with no oils or silicones and it's actually similar to micellar water, except the opposite! Instead of trapping dirt and oils in micells, it fuses lamells into just the damaged parts of your hair so the holes are all filled in but it doesn't weigh down the healthy parts of your hair. The positively charged ions stick to negatively charged ions in your hair which works similar to the special hair dryers that use ion technology. A very cool product! Your hair looks lovely and lush, and your eyes could not look more blue alongside your top! Beautiful! 😍
At last someone reviewing the “Age Rewind” makeup! I purchased it about a month ago when it was on special and fell in love with it! I kept thinking “no it can’t be that good” but it truly is and I find myself using it more than my CT light wonder, Fenty powder foundation and bare minerals complexion rescue!
I love how consistently good your content stays, week-in and week-out. People sometimes make the occasional good video, but are totally inconsistent over the long haul. You are always positive and always “put together” (sounding like my mom now). More importantly, you give interesting and helpful content. Kudos!
So interesting I just picked up that L’Oreal Elvive myself, and I love it! The wet and wild liquid highlighter… It looks good but be careful the oils start to seep through the bottle and it will wreck your drawer or wherever you are storing it. Once the oils seeps out the highlighter becomes dry.
When it comes to brows, or actually almost anything when it comes to looks, I prefer to go with what looks good with my face and features and body type rather than what's "in style." I think it really serves to cultivate our own signature look rather than trying to make something that looks good on someone else, work for me. Its fun to play around but there is a lot of freedom in knowing what works for you and what doesn't 😍
Thank you for your reviews. The hair thing can be dangerous, it heats up & kinda melts your hair so be careful. There’s a reason it says not to use it often. But it does make my highlighted hair really soft.
My new mascara I love. Only two applications. Lancome Idole mascara black. I was shocked how it looked good on first application. It lifts and curls lashes up. Doesn't dry out, flake or clump. 💕
Another favorite is the Loreal lash primer! OMG.....love this product. Thickens your lashes and separates so nice. Makes your mascara super voluminous!
I watch nearly all of your videos but was drawn to watch this one because I was stunned at how beautiful I think you look here. So naturally gorgeous and a very "every day" look. Thank you, I'm running to get these products!
I am so glad you said that about the L'Oreal 8 Wonder Water product. I tried it just over a month ago and thought, "Wow, this stuff is great!" I told my hair stylist about it last month, but she never heard of it. I use it once a week, except the week that I go to the hair salon. I never thought to not to use my conditioner afterwords. I will give that a try. Good job finding that one. :-) Thank you, Risa for finding all those great products. I love that you get as excited about finding these new beauty products as I get. :-) BTW, just love the color of your dress/top. It looks fabulous on you. :-) Have a great day.
JOAH has a Glow Activator radiance primer that the makeup lady at CVS recommended. It's 12.49 at the store. Has tiny gold flecks in it, and goes on oily but dries down after 2 minutes. It looks great and I am 59.
I’m so happy to hear that the L’Oréal Wonder Water works. I just bought it on a whim yesterday and have not tried it yet. Can’t wait to try it tonight. 😊
The Wet 'n Wild Liquid Highlighter is amazing. I also love using their Contour stick in " Where's Walnut" for contouring. It glides on so effortlessly. and blends in beautifully. And I've found L'Oreal's Age Perfect lip liners perfect for those of us who have issues with lipstick migrating into fine lines around our mouth. Thanks for a great video!
Risa - I will confirm that you recommend tons of drugstore beauty products. I have bought some of them because if your review-like Milani concealer, Elf concealer sponge, and others! Keep up the good work! Thank you!
LOVE that brow color on you! Throughout my life as a hair stylist, I often saw blondes use brow color that was WAY too gold, and therefore, didn't look natural. Hair like lashes, brows, and other parts I won't mention are generally cool toned, so you're right - that "cool" color would likely work on anyone. Your makeup looks beautiful and I love this video. I'll check out your channel now. 🤍
2 days after your video i received the hair water you suggested very affordable bought it in amazon . My hair are bleached for decades long very thin and fragile and I am 43 . I am amazed I didnt even put conditioner i didnt blow dry just to see the freeze. There was none my hair was shiny tamed I put it up in a bun in order to give some waves the waves were soft and nice. Where has this been all my life thank you, I love your channel
Great video! I purchased the Loreal 8 Second Wonder - YES! This stuff is great. Got a fast good blow-out. Its now the next day and I did a fast re-style using a heat brush and my hair never looked this good without the salon! Thank-you Risa!
Love the colors in JOAH palette. Yet; I agree it needs a matte color. Your eyes look amazing and would LOVE a video on applying these colors. I'm horrible about where to apply the colors. Your personality always keeps me watching. Not to mention your very detailed about products.
Thank you Risa. That was super and informative. One of my Drug store favorites is L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick #417. I'm 76 and it is a soft peach which I find goes well with many colors of clothing that I wear. A soft brown or neutral lipliner works nicely with it. I am excited to try several of the products that you shared today. God bless from Arizona.:)
I LOVE Elvive!! I have shoulder length, thick, course, wavy hair that is bleached. I use almost half the bottle due to the thickness of my hair. Use every other week. I leave it on longer and do not use conditioner after❤️
I love that product instead of a full foundation. I think I got the idea of using concealer for lighter, more natural coverage from Wayne Goss. I can't believe I didn't think of that until well into my 50s!
I recently picked up the cover girl simply ageless foundation and it is truly incredible! I have foundations of all price ranges and this is the one I love the most! It’s so easy to use too...glad to see it getting some hype!!
Risa and Natalie, I’m 52 and have used the cover girl simply ageless foundation for a few years now. It’s so good that I have actually stopped bothering with under eye concealer - something I’ve never been able to get right in 35 years (dark undereyes and, as I’ve aged, fine lines). It completely airbrushes my face, evens out my skin tone, doesn’t settle in fine lines, somehow looks quite natural, and it feels nice on my skin. You know something is good when you get constant compliments on how good your skin looks, especially 52! I stock up at the supermarket, and it’s so inexpensive. It’s a real winner for me and it’s worth a try for a few dollars outlay.
OMG LISA👏👏👏 JOAH, YES,SO HAPPY,U FOUND IT FOR 2 YRS, I have used shade Taup in thir brow and tint COMBO, lOVEING it and NO ONE INFLUENCER b4 u has said a word!!! So thank u for sharing with all my sisters and brothers and all gender prefered peeps this amazing affordable find💖💖💖❤
Hi Risa, another great video, thx for all ur great affordable finds! Have u tried the No.7 foundation yet (Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum Foundation)? I find it beautiful.
I have fallen in love with the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Nudes eyeshadow palette! Perfect for work. The only drawback is the pans arent very deep. Love the shades! I also cannot live without the Anastasia Iced Out highlighter! So gorgeous on lighter skins. I’ve used every mascara there is, but I cannot live without the L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara! Separates my lashes, lengthens.... love it! I also use the Grande Lash Serum! I never had thick or very long lashes, but buy it and use it, this product REALLY works!
I just used the Elvive for the first time last week. I did get the warming sensation. I had to use 40ml bc of my hair length and texture. I really loved how it made my hair feel. It’ll be an expensive addition to my routine. But worth it If I keep getting good results.
Thanks for the recommendations! Definitely going to try the Elvive. The other day when I was at Target, I saw that some No.7 makeup products were on sale. I picked up the Protect & Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation (shade cool vanilla). I freaking love it! It is the perfect color for me, looks beautiful on my skin, and wears well.
You did it again...the ULTA brow gel is a winner!! Fabulous recommendation!! I picked it up hoping to put down the 4 products I currently use and I did. I was sceptical at first but after several days this keeps the brow hairs I have up better than ABH and the color stays all day without fail. Keep the great news coming, thanks so much!!
Two products are very underrated: the Believe Beauty foundation, and the Hard Candy putty style primer. I agree with you on the BH cosmetics travel palettes. But I also love the Avocado pallette. It has great green, yellow, and pink shades in it.
I found a compact of the Olay foundation in one of my older makeup bins, used it, and was also blown away by it. I'm in my 50s and it does cover blotchy skin well without looking like I'm wearing a ton of makeup, also very convenient to keep in a purse
I'm totally with you on drugstore eyeshadow. They would be almost perfect if they'd only add a mid-toned matte shade. I just picked up Milani's Prep+Set+Glow powder. It's not always in stock, but it's a fab little glowy finishing powder/brow highlight.
I have extremely pale skin and have been using that Cover Girl Olay foundation for like 15 years(early 40s here)and that was the first drugstore foundation that had a light enough color for me. I hope they expand their range now that people are getting turned on to it.
I love, love, love the Joah mascara Lash Up Rising!! None of the CVS stores in my area, within 50 miles, carry it so in have to order it online. I just ordered 2 more last week! Love it!
Hi Risa. I use 2 different primers for my face, ELF Poreless Face for the large pores by my nose and on my nose. It really works well, and then I use the Milani Bright Side for the rest of my face. I love how the Bright Side, it really brightens the circles under my eyes before I use Milani's concealer. For the concealer to work well for me I put a little foundation in that area first.
This is so awesome, I honestly think I am going to try every single one of these products!!!! Thank you for taking the hit for us! So appreciate you! The ELF primer infused shimmer blushes absolutely blew me away! ALso the Maybelline Sky High mascara is one of the best out there.
The JOAH Blur-fection setting powder and Blur Mineral Primer are excellent! The setting powder is a hydrating one that may be a dupe for the By Terry Hylaraunic Setting Powder and the primer is extremely similar to the Hourglass primer. JOAH is really a hidden gem brand in my opinion.
You made this video at the perfect time for me because I was just about to spend 70€ in one hair product from Oribe, looking for the results that the one from Elvive had on your hair, so I’m really grateful and excited to try it! BTW, I bought that Wet n Wild highlighter in a pink shade 2 years ago, so it’s definitely not new, at least in Europe.
Yes, Riss, your hair looks incredible! My first thought when I clicked the video, was, “Wow! Love the hair today!” You look 10 years younger! Gorgeous!
So I love wonder 8 . I have been using this product for about 6 months now. Thank you for the video- you gave me some suggestions. You’re very beautiful.
i used the Covergirl foundation in my early 30s and loved it! it seems to settle into my pores now that im older and you can easily use too much. so now i use a dense brush that i have dampened with rosewater and buff it onto the skin. much better results. it used to have an extensive shade range.
Except for the mascara, I love Joah make up. Their Truly Yours Natural Finish foundation is light, build able and doesn’t break me out or look cakes. All Joah brow products are fabulous!
i’ve been using that brow pencil for about half a year now and it’s one of my favorites. i wish they had it at more cvs locations cuz i have to drive 20 mins out to get it lol so cool you found this and like it :) i’ve been raving to all my friends about it. the color range is good for brunettes too & it lasts all day on my oily face.
I was waiting until the end of the video to ask what was the brow product you had on. I let my natural silver hair grow out two years ago, ever since I've been on the hunt for the right color, either too dark, or too warm, grey pencils look too fake, at least the ones I've used, I think this cool color from Joah will be the end of my search. Thank you for great and affordable recommendations.
Great video. My budget is totally drugstore so I loved this. I LOVE LA color pencil eyeliners. They are very soft they don't drag across your eyelid. And the best part...they are usually packed two together often with a sharpener. I have picked them up as cheap as $1 at Dollar Tree. Also those wet n wild highlighters are the bomb! I used the stick form.
Just wanted to say thank you for recommending the Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion exfoliator in one of your previous videos. Love this. Only used it a few times and can feel a difference already. Wish it wasn't so pricey but, will continue using this and look for sales. 🥰❤

I bought this about two weeks ago. I have long wavy/curly hair. This stuff is like nothing else I’ve ever used before.....it’s amazing.
It's amazing
They are not cruelty free
I definitely have to try Wonder Water!! Your hair looks beautiful & healthy!
Risa, I love your hair just like this, no hair extensions. I think it even makes you look younger. Thanks for your videos!
Your like a flower in spring. From your makeup to your clothes to your beautiful face...and the amazing background ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful dress , makeup , gorgeous hair and your radiant glow !! Great finds and thanks for sharing❤️🌈❤️
Not to mention your very detailed about products.
i love joah eyeshadow. Affordable & they work just as good as any high end palette, honestly.
I leave it on longer and do not use conditioner after❤️
I'm liking Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer.
That is a good one but Maybelline needs to make another shade that's lighter than what they have for us really pale people. I still use it, though.
Me, too! I've spent a ton on concealers, and this one works better for me than the high end products.
Browfast sculpt by maybelline is soooo underrated... awesome for that fluffy brow look
I absolutely loved the old version- I keep buying it Amazon. I’m sad to say I don’t like the new one nearly as much. 😕
Thanks, you’ve literally answered all my questions about what to buy. I love cvs for stuff like this!
OMG LISA👏👏👏
JOAH, YES,SO HAPPY,U FOUND IT
FOR 2 YRS, I have used shade Taup in thir brow and tint COMBO, lOVEING it
and NO ONE INFLUENCER b4 u has said a word!!!
Risa I love that you do all of this and share it with us. Loving the setting you're sitting at. So Spring!!
That brow color is perfect for you.
Love your hair like this. You don’t need the extensions. It looks so nice. Thanks for another great video!
Cool Vanilla is my perfect shade as well - and it is consistent across all of the No. 7 foundations. Protect & Perfect is great!
Thank You both, for sharing your experiences & suggestions!😊
Thank you. I'm going to try a few of them!
I’m so glad that you tried the L’Oréal rinse been eyeing that and I am forever on the hunt for eyebrow going to try that pencil!
Love drugstore finds! Thanks
Infallible powder foundation by L’Oréal. Yep, blew me away! New favorite
I love the hair rinse. I put it in a spray bottle to make it easier.
I'm totally with you on drugstore eyeshadow. They would be almost perfect if they'd only add a mid-toned matte shade. I just picked up Milani's Prep+Set+Glow powder. It's not always in stock, but it's a fab little glowy finishing powder/brow highlight.
Plz tell me where did you purchase the Milani Prep Set and Glow powder ?
Love the wonder water. I'm on bottle number 4. So good!!
Set and Wild Brightening Powder, the banana shade. It really does brighten up my face especially the undereye area.
I'm excited to try every thing here!! I esp love the brow pencil. I wear blonde too, and that alone isn't easy to find! Thank you 💖💖
You made this video at the perfect time for me because I was just about to spend 70€ in one hair product from Oribe, looking for the results that the one from Elvive had on your hair, so I’m really grateful and excited to try it!
I have used this on my hair, and it gave me the warm effect on my head almost instantly. I used the whole bottle its a really good product.
I’ll agree with u on that brow pencil!! I have very little brow hair naturally and that pencil is one of the best I’ve ever tried !
Not even 1 second in and I have to say, you look amazing with that top on and your hair is just as flawless!
I've tried the wonder water about 2 months ago & use it when I need my hair to look Superb since I don't have 10$ for daily use😭
Noticed your gorgeous shadow first thing! Definitely trying that and the hair product! Love all your videos!
It does feel warm and yes it is a great hair product.
Except for the mascara, I love Joah make up. Their Truly Yours Natural Finish foundation is light, build able and doesn’t break me out or look cakes. All Joah brow products are fabulous!
When you first came on I was loving your eye shadows..glad to know they aren't expensive. So pretty !!
i’ve been using that brow pencil for about half a year now and it’s one of my favorites. i wish they had it at more cvs locations cuz i have to drive 20 mins out to get it lol so cool you found this and like it :) i’ve been raving to all my friends about it. the color range is good for brunettes too & it lasts all day on my oily face.
I have been using the 8 second wonder water for a while now and it is AWESOME!!!! Highly recommend!!
Your hair looks beautiful!! Your make up .. yes always. Thank you for sharing
The Wet n Wild highlighter has been out for a couple of years. How funny that it said new. But it’s a lovely liquid highlight.
