Makes me want to speak Tagalog. I still need classes!
Do it!!
in a nutshell, we filipinos generally only have 5 vowel sounds while english (whether american or british) has way more. how we pronounce things is also affected by the fact that we spell words exactly the way they're pronounced. for consonants, we generally use the sounds that we take to be the closest to the "real" thing. so, going by your explanation, both f and p use air while both v and b use our voice. the difference that we need to work on is actually the position of different parts of our mouth. f and v use the same parts, positioned the same way (upper front teeth on top of your lower lip) and the difference between them is that one is aerated while thr other is voiced, as you pointed out. p and b both put the lips together, although there's more pressure when making the b sound. for t and th, the upper front teeth are positioned on the tip of the tongue while the d sound had one positioning the tip of one's tongue just about around the gumline behind the upper front teeth. hope that helps. usually it's not that we filipinos can't make the sounds...it's more a matter of habit and not catching ourselves when we don't do it the way we're supposed to. as with a lot of things, it's really just a matter of practice. 😊
Thanks for the explanation!
You're a good teacher! Surely will help us alot
Taga US embassy siguro.

Thank you!!
I work in callcenter before i got problems with "th" sounds and "t" when it is in the middle of the word
