Well at 6.3 it doesn't feel like a heavy tank anymore, all that armor only slow you down. And the gun is real bad at that br. Only good in city maps
That BR system is complete garbage. But as lon as we keep throwing money at them gajoobles will not give two shits that more and more vehicles become painful to play.
Especially for new players this game becomes less attractive wit every patch...

There is no point in jumbo anymore. There just is no point if you want to have fun with 76mm cannon just take m18. Oh and jaghtpanthere on 6.0 is fine no problem

Just as a comparison, the M4A3E2 76 is now the same BR as the T28 turtle tank. And the same BR as the Tiger II P, where the Tiger II has a doubly effective gun, a better upper front plate, and more trolly turret armor.

Eh i dont really have any problems playing jumbo 76. I have a 3.0 KD with it, with a record of 15 kills and 3800 sp with just the jumbo. The gun sabilization gives it a huge advantage if you know weakspots of enemies. You just have to spend a little time learning the weakspots of tanks. Also you need to really know your armor. You need to know how and when to angle it to even bounce long 88 shells. Im not saying that it belongs at 6.3, but it still is fun and competetive.

@@pdr_2703 actually the regular 76 sherman is far worse. it dies just as easily, but the gearing on the transmission is abysmal. its sooooo much slower than the jumbo. not in a top speed race down hill, but in all practical situations a jumbo will be moving faster.

No, it just doesnt do anything good.
- The gun cant pen half the tanks at and below its BR, not even mentioning uptiers.
- The armor is butter for all other 6.3 tanks.
- The mobility is nothing special.

- The gun can pen most common targets. For heavily armored targets, you'll have to aim for a weakspot or use APCR
- The armor is strong when used right (angling, going hull down, etc), stop waltzing towards the enemy spawn like you're invincible
- When compared to other heavy tanks, the mobility is good (it will easily outpace a King Tiger, that's for sure)
Also, like every other Jumbo noob, you forgot about your strongest advantage, the gun stabilizer. That bad boy can allow you to be super aggressive in CQC maps, just keep it under 20 kph and you'll see.

If you can't pen a target frontally, then you'll have to employ this neat little trick...

Now, before you say _tHaT's ImPoSsIbLe1!1!,_ let me tell you about the stabilizer again. While just about every tank you mentioned has to stop and wait for the gun to level out, the Jumbo 76 doesn't need to do all that, as long as your keeping it under 20 kph. Like most other Sherman variants, the Jumbo 76 can be aggressive and react quickly to incoming threats, and the armor, while it isn't a crutch like how you want it to be, it can save you from time to time.
But most importantly, the Jumbo 76 does very well in CQC situations because of its stabilizer and fast turret traverse, and like any other heavy tank, it's important to stick with your team because war is a team effort, and heavy tanks don't do very well on their own.
If you really feel like you need to frontally pen a target but are too scared to use anything with less than 100mm of armor, then the M26 and the newly added T26E5 might be the right tank for you, but just remember this, the Jumbo 76 isn't entirely useless at 6.3, it just requires more effort to use.
(Like as if rank actually mattered...)

The jumbo 76 became an mbt. It's uptiered almost every time(i use the t26). The only time i got a "didn't get" an uptier (still got leopardos) is when i played on frozen peaks or something like that i dont look at map names but i know it has a tunnel on the a cap point. I killed 6 tanks with t26 and 2 w jumbo 76.

BMP's have no armor, you can literally tear one to shreads using your roof mounted .50 cal so there's nothing to complain about, unless you have zero situational awareness, which is common in this game.
Oh, and P.S. balancing vehicles by performance is better than balancing them by historical accuracy. I sure you wouldn't want to fight a Tiger 1 in a T-34-76,
or a KV-1 (L-11) or T-34-76 vs Pz III F, or Pz IV D, or Pz 35/38 (t)
Or M4A2 75 vs. Ha-Go or Chi-Ha/Kai
And many more combinations, because real life isn't fair and balanced

Tbf that jumbo at 5.3 makes 80% of the other nations unplayable. Only Russia/Germans would be able to play against it. The others will have to CAS or pray its on their side and not some US/GER vs the World cause that would be annoying until the BT-5 guy autodestruct itself, then there's hope. In SB it would be UK/US/RU/CN/SW/FR vs Germans, cause JP/IT will also have to CAS, especially JP being underwhelming in SB due to the choices of Vehicles for them.

Had the "I'm sick of this shyte" T30 on stand by. When I played WoT on console seeing a Jumbo on the field was pain, seems it somewhat lives up to that in WT.
Moving the jumbo to 6.3 is one of the most brain dead things I've seen them do yet.

0:54 so as you can see, a Jagdtiger has trouble penetrating this Jumbo UFP at 500m at around 60 degree angle and 44 degree heading angle... i tried the same with the ISU-152 with the BR-540B round (capped shell) (SU-152 has the same shell) and it can pen it more reliably at further range (up to 1000m which is2x as much as a Jagdtiger) ... i always say this, but overmatch exists in the game and people keep denying me... 166mm pen round penetrates Jumbo UFP at 60 degree angle at further distance than a 270mm pen Jagdtiger round..
ISU-152 has the best gun up towards 6.7 no doubts, and its on a 4.7 (and 4.3) tank... and then at 6.7 there is the OBJ 268 with the same gun except it has higher muzzle velocity so it has more pen (233mm) so its even more OP.... can pen tiger 2 UFP at close range..

@@DOLLARplays yes, but thats the thing. isu-153 has practically more efficient cannon than a Jagtiger at long range and at angle
The su-152 also has a horrid reload and one of the worst hulls in the game. The KV and IS hulls as casemates sre just horrible. The t-34 hulls on the su-85 and su-100 are far better.

M4a2 75 with tge addon armor is actually really hard to pen if you angle and stay decently far away. Can easily bounce the pz4 f2s gun.
Man I get this br at 5.7 with a Sherman 76w 9 time out of 10. More of that gaijin balancing at work

I don't think Caernarvon suffer. You have full stabilizer , and very good apds, plus that trolly armor. It should do good at 7.3. I need to play it again sometime.

That game on American Desert was a thing of beauty. Only my fingers are itching whenever DOLLAR shoots a Tiger II in the side of the hull whenever there is a clear shot at the ammo rack (the bustle of the turret; guaranteed one-shot)--which is almost always.
Also German teams seem blind, holy hell.
